Role Description The Cloud Engineer role is a full-time, remote position focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure cloud infrastructure for client environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and managing cloud services, automating infrastructure deployments, and optimizing performance, reliability, and cost across platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. The Cloud Engineer will collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to support application workloads, implement best practices, and ensure high availability and resilience. Additional tasks include monitoring and troubleshooting cloud resources, managing Linux-based systems, and maintaining databases and related services. The role also involves documenting architectures, contributing to technical standards, and continuously improving infrastructure and operational processes. Qualifications Strong Cloud Computing skills, including hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Solid Infrastructure experience covering networking, storage, security controls, and infrastructure automation. Proficiency with Linux administration and scripting for system configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of Databases, including deployment, performance tuning, backup strategies, and high-availability configurations. Experience with Software Development concepts, such as CI/CD pipelines, version control, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and site reliability or DevOps practices. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment. Experience in cybersecurity principles and identity and access management in cloud environments is beneficial.
