About The Role We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join Lorien’s client, a leading global financial institution, within their Data & Analytics engineering team. This role is pivotal in supporting front-office functions by developing and maintaining a robust data governance platform that underpins advanced analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives. The successful candidate will be involved in designing, building, and enhancing backend services and user-facing components to facilitate effective data management and policy enforcement across the organization. This is a hybrid role based in London or Glasgow, offering a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of data, engineering, and AI technology in a dynamic financial environment. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software engineering with extensive experience in Python development within production environments. A solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems, coupled with proficiency in SQL, is essential.
