Our challenge We are seeking an experienced React Developer to design, develop, and maintain modern, scalable, and high-performing web applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building responsive user interfaces, developing reusable components, integrating RESTful APIs, and delivering enterprise-scale applications using React and modern JavaScript frameworks. This role requires strong expertise in front-end technologies, UI/UX best practices, Agile methodologies, and cloud-based application development. Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100k - $110k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React.js and related front-end technologies. Build responsive, reusable, and high-performance UI components following industry best practices. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and collaborate with backend development teams. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces. Optimize application performance, scalability, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility. Implement state management solutions using Redux, Context API, or similar frameworks. Develop and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end testing frameworks. Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural and technical design discussions. Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Support production deployments, troubleshooting, bug fixes, and application enhancements. Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and actively participate in sprint ceremonies. Ensure compliance with enterprise security, performance, and coding standards. Requirements: 5+ years of application development experience with at least 3+ years focused on React.js development. Strong expertise in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 . Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Redux Toolkit, MobX, or Context API . Strong understanding of React Hooks, Functional Components, Component Lifecycle, and Virtual DOM concepts. Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs and microservices architectures. Knowledge of front-end build tools such as Webpack, Vite, Babel, npm, and Yarn . Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Selenium . Knowledge of responsive design principles and cross-browser development standards. Experience with version control tools such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket . Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Preferred, but not required: Experience with Angular, Next.js, or other modern front-end frameworks. Knowledge of Node.js and full-stack application development. Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Experience working with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and UI performance optimization techniques. Financial Services, Banking, or Capital Markets domain experience.
