About The Role We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Security Analyst to join our dynamic team at SpecterOps. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents across various client environments. Your primary focus will be on identifying vulnerabilities, investigating security breaches, and implementing effective mitigation strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat detection techniques, and incident response protocols. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered. Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, threat analysis, or incident response. Proficiency in security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection platforms. Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security architectures. Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and analysis. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Effective communication skills to articulate complex security issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CEH, or similar are preferred. Responsibilities Monitor security alerts and logs to identify potential threats or suspicious activities in real-time. Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents to determine root causes and impact. Develop and implement incident response plans to contain and remediate security breaches. Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in client systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security policies, procedures, and controls. Maintain and update security documentation, including incident reports, threat intelligence, and remediation strategies. Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices to proactively defend client environments.
