Lead .NET Backend Developer – Integrations Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote) Duration: Contract through the end of 2027 with strong potential for extension Pay: $60-65/hr About the Opportunity: We're seeking a Lead .NET Backend Developer to join one of our client'as Regional Operations Technology team supporting enterprise HR technology initiatives. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll help drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise integrations while partnering with both onshore engineers and an offshore development team. This is not a people management position. Instead, you'll provide technical leadership by translating business requirements into technical solutions, leading development efforts, and remaining actively involved in coding. If you enjoy building enterprise-scale integrations, solving complex backend challenges, and mentoring development teams through technical leadership, this is an excellent opportunity. What You'll Be Working On: You'll support critical HR technology initiatives across regional carriers, including: Time & Attendance modernization Workforce Management integrations Payroll and employee data integrations Enterprise API development Legacy integration modernization and migration to Azure Building and maintaining backend services connecting HR systems with enterprise applications Rather than implementing HR platforms themselves, you'll focus on the backend services, APIs, and data movement that connect these systems together. What You'll Do: Lead technical development efforts for enterprise integration projects Design, develop, and maintain C#/.NET backend services Build REST APIs, Azure Functions, and microservices Translate business requirements into technical user stories Work closely with architects, project managers, and business analysts Coordinate technical delivery with an offshore development team in Hyderabad Participate in architecture discussions and solution design Perform hands-on software development (approximately 50% or more of your time) Required Qualifications: 7+ years of software development experience Strong expertise in C# and modern .NET development Experience building enterprise backend applications and APIs Strong SQL Server experience Experience with microservices and distributed systems Experience designing and supporting enterprise integrations Experience writing technical user stories and managing development backlogs Experience leading technical initiatives without direct people management responsibilities Technology Stack: C# .NET Core / .NET REST APIs Microservices Azure Functions Microsoft SQL Server Cosmos DB Azure Event-driven integrations Azure Event Hubs / Messaging CI/CD Azure DevOps GitHub What Makes Someone Successful: The ideal candidate is a technical leader first and foremost.
