We're looking for an Application Developer with strong C#/.NET skills and extensive Microsoft Power Platform experience to join an engagement with an established enterprise client that's beginning its Power Platform journey. They're investing in the platform to ship business-facing apps faster than their traditional development cycle allows and they're looking to us to help them build the right way from day one. Here's what makes this one interesting: the engagement starts in the Power Platform — Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI reporting — but it won't stay there. As the client's roadmap matures, the work grows into standard C#/.NET application development: custom APIs, Azure services, and full custom applications where the platform's native capabilities end. You'll be the developer who spans both worlds and helps the client understand where the line between them belongs. What you'll do Build canvas and model-driven Power Apps against identified business use cases, prioritizing early wins that build organizational confidence in the platform Design Dataverse data models — tables, relationships, business rules, security roles — that fit today's use cases and scale to tomorrow's Build Power Automate flows for business logic, integrations, approvals, and notifications Support Power BI reporting needs as they connect to the apps and data models you're building Extend the platform with C#/.NET where it counts — custom connectors, Azure Functions, API integrations, and plugin development when native capabilities aren't enough As the engagement grows, take on standard .NET application development — designing and building custom web applications, APIs, and services alongside the Power Platform footprint Help establish foundational patterns the client's team can carry forward: environment strategy, naming conventions, solution structure, ALM, and light governance Run working sessions with IT and business stakeholders — teach as you build, explain your choices, transfer the patterns Be honest about tradeoffs. Power Platform is the right tool for many use cases and the wrong tool for some — we want the consultant who says so, and who can build the alternative when the answer is custom development What we're looking for Solid C#/.NET application development experience — ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, Entity Framework, and modern .NET (6/8+) Experience building and deploying applications on Azure — App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, SQL, storage, and Key Vault Hands-on Power Platform experience: canvas and model-driven Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse (not just SharePoint-list apps) Familiarity with Power BI — building or supporting reports and understanding how they fit alongside Power Apps and Dataverse Understanding of Power Platform ALM — solutions, environments, source control, deployment pipelines — plus standard dev practices: Git, CI/CD (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions), and code review habits Working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID) as it connects to Power Platform Front-end fundamentals — comfortable with JavaScript/TypeScript when custom UI work calls for it A genuine consultant's mindset: curiosity about the client's business, comfort working directly with both technical and business stakeholders, and strong written communication Someone who loves a crunchy challenge — the kind of problem where understanding the business is half the work and the technology is how you deliver the answer Nice to have Microsoft certifications — PL-200/PL-400 (Power Platform) or AZ-204 (Azure Developer) PCF component development (TypeScript/React) Dynamics 365 background SQL Server / database design depth Prior consulting experience The engagement Remote-first with light or no travel, CT operating hours.
