Contract Dentist – Veterans Home | Short or Long-Term Opportunity Location: Milford, DE (On-Site) Job Type: Full-Time / Contract (Standard Day Shift, Monday – Friday) Contract Duration: Flexible (Available as either a short-term or long-term contract opportunity) Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused Dentist to fulfill a contract engagement at a premier veterans home facility located in Milford, DE. This position provides an exceptional opportunity to practice dental medicine and oral healthcare dedicated to honoring and serving our nation's military veterans in a structured, welcoming, and collaborative clinical environment. Operating on a predictable daytime schedule, the incoming practitioner will deliver essential diagnostic, preventative, restorative, and surgical dental treatments to geriatric and adult veteran residents. Compensation Options We offer highly competitive pay models tailored to your location and tax classification preference, alongside premium travel incentives if applicable: Compensation Rate: $115.00 per hour Travel Compensation Package: Premium customized travel pay packages Schedule & Work-Life Balance Rotation Schedule: Five-day work week (Monday through Friday). Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM daily. Weekend Requirements: Absolutely No weekends . Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive oral examinations, diagnostic assessments, and radiographic interpretations for the veterans home resident population. Perform essential dental procedures, including local anesthesia administration, restorative fillings, simple extractions, and acute pain management tailored to geriatric and medically complex patients. Formulate objective, individualized dental treatment plans while maintaining meticulous clinical documentation within the facility’s electronic health records (EHR). Collaborate effectively with on-site multidisciplinary staff, including dental assistants, facility administrators, nursing personnel, and medical directors to ensure a safe, efficient care environment. Qualifications & Requirements Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited dental school. Active, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Delaware (or eligibility to quickly obtain a temporary institutional license). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification. Ability to successfully clear a comprehensive state background check, drug screening, and facility credentialing/safety vetting.
