Position Title Web Developer II Job Group Professional & Scientific Required Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of related experience Job Description Iowa State Online, a service unit dedicated to supporting marketing and student service efforts of online programs across the university, is currently accepting applications for a website developer II position. The website developer will leverage the ISU core theme to design, build, deploy, and maintain the site, utilizing a structured staging environment and a continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflow for final reviews and production releases. The Successful Candidate Will have a user-centered focus be skilled in organization and time management work independently collaborate in a rapidly changing, team-based environment Additional information - This position will be on-site and does require a candidate to reside in the state of Iowa before their first day of employment. Example Of Duties Plays a direct role in programming, maintenance, technical support, documentation, and administration of applications for WordPress website. Conducts monthly updates pushing changes from the staging site to production. Provides technical site maintenance, including website functionality, navigation testing, search engine techniques, link integrity, and other technical web developments. Programs, maintains, and provides technical support of applications using tools compatible with WordPress. Formulates new methods, procedures, and systems to address users' needs. Document development practices and workflows to support continuity and long-term maintainability.
