Requirements Applicants must meet the following criteria: Education – University degree, preferably Master’s, in natural sciences, food/agricultural sciences, international relations, political science, or economics. Citizenship – Must be a Swiss citizen. Languages – Excellent command of English and one Swiss official language; good knowledge of another Swiss official language. Skills – Interest in diplomacy, strong communication, analytical ability, flexibility, and initiative. Graduation Timeline – Applications accepted within 12 months of graduation. The emphasis on language skills reflects Switzerland’s multilingual identity. Interns who can communicate fluently in German, French, Italian, and English will be particularly well-positioned to engage with diverse stakeholders. Analytical ability is equally critical, as interns must interpret complex policy documents and distill them into concise recommendations.
