Remote | Full-time | Entry-level | Reports to: Director of Engineering About Stabilify Stabilify builds modern data and application solutions for child welfare and human services agencies. We work in a space where the stakes are real: the systems we deliver help caseworkers, agencies, and communities protect and support children and families. We're a small, fast-moving team that pairs cutting-edge technology (Microsoft Power Platform, Snowflake, and applied AI) with deep respect for the careful, conservative nature of the industry we serve. About the Role The Application Developer is an entry-level role focused on building Power Platform solutions: model-driven and canvas Power Apps, Power Automate flows, Dataverse configuration, and Power BI reporting: that our child welfare clients rely on every day. You'll learn our delivery approach from the inside, working alongside senior engineers and implementation leads on real client engagements from day one. While the Power Platform is your home base, you'll also do some data development and build cloud services in Azure, so you graduate from this role as a well-rounded solution developer rather than a single-tool specialist. What You'll Do Power Platform Development Build and extend Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Automate flows, and Dataverse solutions under the guidance of senior developers Develop Power BI reports and dashboards that surface meaningful insights for agency staff Build Power Platform code apps: code-first applications pairing custom web development with Power Platform hosting, data, and governance Follow ALM practices (solutions, environments, and pipelines) as you learn to ship Power Platform work the right way Azure Development Develop Azure Functions and Container Apps, primarily in Python, for integrations and processing beyond the Power Platform Instrument services with meaningful logging and monitoring using Application Insights and Datadog Data Development Write SQL, support data flows into and out of Dataverse, and assist the data team on integrations Client Engagement Present your work to client stakeholders, clearly explaining what was built and why Help scope features and estimate work alongside senior team members Participate fully in agile ceremonies with internal teams and clients Responsible and Strategic Use of AI Use AI tools as a deliberate part of the workflow: accelerating development, documentation, testing, and research: while remaining fully accountable for everything you ship Apply sound judgment about where AI belongs in child welfare work: never expose sensitive client or case data to unapproved tools, and always keep a human in the loop on decisions that affect children and families What We're Looking For This is an entry-level role. We're hiring for aptitude, curiosity, and fundamentals, not a long résumé. Show us you can: Build working solutions in the Microsoft Power Platform: or demonstrate the fundamentals to pick them up fast Write and reason about code in Python Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and teammates, including presenting your own work Take feedback well, ask good questions, and learn quickly on a small, agile team Handle sensitive subject matter with professionalism and discretion Use AI tools thoughtfully and productively, with a clear-eyed view of both their leverage and their limits Education & Background A college degree in computer science, engineering, MIS, or a related field is preferred We'll also consider equivalent military or job experience that demonstrates these skills: or a clear propensity to upskill quickly Nice to Have Working knowledge of SQL Knowledge of JavaScript, C#, Java, or Scala Exposure to Dataverse, Azure DevOps, or CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or other data platforms Interest in child welfare, human services, or public-sector work
