TEST ENGINEER Location: Salt Lake City, UT (On-site) Reports to: Manufacturing Engineering Manager Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 Company Overview Our client is a global technology company with a mission centered on public safety and enterprise security. Your Role: The Test Engineer owns automated test system infrastructure on the electronics manufacturing floor, bridging headquarters engineering and local production. Responsibilities span test station design, implementation and optimization, logging and analysis tooling, cross-functional collaboration with RF, systems, software, and quality teams, and root cause analysis for escalated production issues. What You'll Do: Design and implement test plans, logging tools, and analysis systems to provide full coverage of wireless communication system feature sets Own production test station design, implementation, maintenance, and upgrade; drive continuous improvement of manufacturing test efficiency Collaborate with RF, systems, and quality teams to define performance thresholds, validate new testing approaches, and support rollout to production Work with software development to augment test systems for rollout of new features and product configurations Perform advanced failure analysis and root cause determination for production issues escalated beyond standard troubleshooting Document test procedures, system configurations, and analysis findings for production and engineering teams What You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field Experience developing software for ATE in an electronics manufacturing environment; proficiency with RF or wireless communications systems and production test criteria Strong data analysis, reporting, and diagnostic tooling skills; experience troubleshooting PCBAs to component level Clear oral and written communication skills; comfortable working across RF, systems, software, and quality engineering disciplines Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices in an electronics manufacturing environment (preferred) Experience with containerization tools such as Docker or Nginx; familiarity with mesh networking concepts (preferred)
