Cloud / DevOps Engineer (Multi-Cloud — GCP, AWS, Azure)

About the Role The client's Apigee platform spans five cloud environments — Internal GCP, AWS GovCloud, Azure GovCloud, External Azure, and On-Premises (including the Client/Spirit Wichita site). This Cloud/DevOps Engineer owns the infrastructure layer under the Apigee runtime: VPC networking, EKS/GKE cluster configuration, load balancers, storage, autoscaling, and the IaC that governs all of it. Eligibility: US Person required (AWS GovCloud + Azure GovCloud access) Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure Build & Hardening • Review and harden IaC for networking (VPC/subnets, route tables), EKS cluster configuration (node sizing, autoscaling, taints/tolerations) • Configure and maintain load balancers (ALB/NLB on AWS, Application Gateway on Azure, Cloud Load Balancing on GCP) • Implement cloud-specific best practices across GCP, AWS GovCloud, and Azure GovCloud • Apply sizing and cost estimates for each cloud environment; maintain cost model baseline Apigee Operations Support • Establish and execute operational processes for Apigee runtime and control planes: patching, version upgrades, node management • Autoscaling verification, storage management, and load balancer health maintenance • Capacity planning and performance tuning for Apigee hybrid runtimes • Maintain and validate backup/restore procedures for Apigee components and configuration state Security & Compliance • Implement KMS/secrets store integration across all cloud environments • Ensure GovCloud environments meet NIST 800-171 / FedRAMP controls as required by the client • Network segmentation, firewall rules, and security group configuration for Apigee traffic isolation CI/CD & Automation • Maintain Terraform/Helm IaC for environment provisioning across all target clouds • Integrate Apigee environment deployment with CI/CD pipelines • Automate routine operational tasks: certificate renewal triggers, health check scripts, alerting integrations Required Qualifications • 5+ years cloud infrastructure/DevOps experience • Hands-on experience with at least 2 of: AWS, GCP, Azure in production • AWS GovCloud or Azure GovCloud deployment experience • Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, or AKS) — node pools, autoscaling, taints, persistent volumes • Terraform (required) — IaC for multi-cloud provisioning • Networking fundamentals: VPC design, subnetting, route tables, security groups, NACLs Preferred Qualifications • Apigee Hybrid runtime infrastructure experience • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or GCP Professional Cloud Architect • Experience with Splunk integration for cloud infrastructure monitoring • ITAR/CUI data handling experience
