Job Title/Role: Cloud Architect Key Skills: AWS, Cloud Migration (AWS) Experience: 12+ Years’ experience Location: United States We at Coforge are hiring an experienced Cloud Architect having experience in AWS to support a large-scale migration of applications and workloads from VMware to Pega or AWS Cloud. The role involves assessing existing environments, planning migration strategy, modernizing applications, and ensuring smooth delivery across hybrid on-premises and cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities: Architect Knowledge on Cloud Migration (VMware to Pega Cloud/ AWS ). Deep knowledge on Virtualization technologies: VMware, Hyper-V , VCenter and Hybrid Solution. Experience in Designing a fully functional migration strategy from on-premise to AWS. DR techniques for databases, applications, infrastructure services. Modern tools for managing IT estates; their features and capabilities. Various Operating systems: Windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX. Deep knowledge on AWS and RHEL. Knowledge on VmWare NSX /Cisco ACI/ Viptela. Plan and execute the in-depth technical activity, influencing the direction of activities/plans and to build, guide and assist migration teams in implementing defined migration strategies providing technical insight and guidance to others. Investigate and help resolve issues on customer’s environment and IT estates using agreed troubleshooting methodologies. Manage support cases to enable fast resolution that exceeds our customers’ expectations. Migration & Modernization Lead the migration of workloads from VMware to Pega Cloud or AWS. Assess applications and recommend the right migration approach (rehost, replatform, refactor). Provide design support for containerization of applications and deployment onto OpenShift. Platform Engineering Ability to design clusters on AWS and on-prem environments. Work with AWS services including VPC, EC2, IAM, S3, Load Balancers, and RDS. Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of OpenShift platforms. DevOps & Automation Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines. Use Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation). Automate cluster provisioning and application deployments. Security & Compliance Apply security best practices across Red Hat, VMware, and AWS environments. Manage roles, permissions, secrets, certificates, and network policies. Qualifications: 12+ years of experience in VMware, Linux, Cloud, or Platform Engineering. Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (installation, operations, troubleshooting). Solid understanding of AWS services and hybrid cloud environments. Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD, and IaC tools. Background in application migration, modernization, or cloud transformation. Strong Linux (RHEL) administration skills along with Ceph, ODF, CSM, ASM is must. Good to Have: Red Hat Certifications (RHCE, ). Experience with Red Hat , Pega Cloud. AWS Certifications (Architect/ DevOps).
