Cloud Engineer

About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to join our growing technology team. This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure in enterprise environments. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a critical role in building scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions that support business-critical applications and services. This is a fully remote opportunity open exclusively to U.S. Citizens and Green Card Holders currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates. Automate cloud provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes. Monitor system performance, availability, and security across cloud environments. Collaborate with DevOps, Security, Development, and Operations teams to support cloud-native applications. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery. Manage cloud networking, identity and access management (IAM), and security best practices. Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution for cloud infrastructure issues. Optimize cloud resources to improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and industry regulations. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud infrastructure, or related roles. Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: Amazon Web Services (AWS) Microsoft Azure Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred). Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps. Strong understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and cloud architecture best practices. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Cloud certifications such as: AWS Certified Solutions Architect AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Google Professional Cloud Architect Experience supporting large-scale enterprise cloud environments. Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards. Experience with serverless architectures and cloud-native technologies.
