Software Engineer

Position: Software Engineer Experience: 6+ Years Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite – 5 days/week) Role Summary: We are seeking a talented Software Engineer with strong experience in Java-based backend development and cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in designing and developing microservices, modernizing legacy applications, and building scalable solutions deployed in containerized environments. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot. Build and enhance RESTful microservices within a distributed microservices architecture. Develop cloud-native applications deployed on Kubernetes environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deliver high-quality software solutions. Participate in application modernization initiatives, including framework upgrades and migration activities. Implement secure and scalable configuration management practices. Develop integrations with databases, messaging systems, and external services. Contribute to code reviews, technical design discussions, and best practice adoption. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues to ensure system reliability and performance. Support CI/CD processes and deployment automation initiatives. Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge-sharing artifacts. Required Skills: 6+ years of experience in software development using Java. Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+ and Spring Boot. Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices. Good understanding of Microservices Architecture patterns. Experience working with Kubernetes and containerized deployments. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure. Knowledge of Azure services such as: Kubernetes Service (AKS), Key Vault, App Configuration, Application Insights, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Azure DevOps and CI/CD Pipelines Experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra. Familiarity with Redis or similar caching technologies. Strong understanding of software engineering principles, debugging, and performance optimization. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Skills: Experience in application modernization and migration projects. Exposure to upgrading legacy applications to modern frameworks and Java versions. Knowledge of secure configuration and secrets management practices. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Basic scripting knowledge using Python is an added advantage. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology. Show more Show less
