Business Applications System Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Business Application Systems Engineer who can translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, contribute across the full application lifecycle, and thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment. The ideal candidate brings strong systems, integration, and database expertise; can troubleshoot complex issues; and works effectively across cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and business-focused outcomes. Success in this role requires a combination of technical depth, sound judgment, collaboration, and a continuous improvement mindset. Support, maintain, and enhance ERP platforms and core financial systems, including General Ledger, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Revenue Recognition, Billing, and connected systems Research and analyze business requirements, provide conceptual and detailed designs, and deliver solutions across Finance, billing, and enterprise applications. This includes developing, enhancing, configuring, testing, and supporting solutions as well as database and interface architecture design/support for moderate to complex projects Apply deep systems, database, and application knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, perform root cause analysis, optimize performance, and support business-critical processes using advanced SQL and configuration expertise Participate in code reviews and change management (release) process to develop and implement new applications and updates to existing application Interface with third-party software vendors to escalate and resolve integration and software/technical issue Collaborate cross-functionally with senior level management, business owners, solution architects, business system analysts, project managers and other engineers/developers to discuss technical options to meet business requirements to achieve secure and scalable solution Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering 8-10 years working in an IT environment 6-8 years working as a developer/systems engineer Experience leading complex projects/tasks Strong hands-on experience with a variety of code, interface, API, and database concepts Experience in full project life cycle development for systems and applications Experience integrating and customizing business applications Costpoint experience preferred US Citizenship is required for this role
