Laboratory Supervisor

Insight Global is looking to hire a Laboratory Supervisor for a food testing client of ours in the Columbia, MO area. Requirements/Day-to-Day: Responsible for a wide range of operational, leadership, and bench testing areas of the lab including but not limited to: Operational : Managing audits Managing inventory Scheduling & timekeeping for team of technicians Leadership : Train new & current employees best lab practices, test methods, formal SOPs, lab procedures, regulations, etc. Conduct performance reviews with technicians. Involvement in future hiring. Assist technicians on the bench with sample registration & processing, PCR, plating, media, lab organization, etc., to ensure testing & results are hitting deadlines of the client. Desired Traits: AS or BS Degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field. Experience in a senior level or leadership role where you had to assist directly with overseeing individual contributors, and assist with operations of a facility. Experience in lab procedures and computer operations Experience in food testing Experience working in a commercial lab versus university lab Compensation: $58,000 to $64,000 per year annual salary.
