Python Backend Engineer

Python Backend Engineer US Remote Open to candidates anywhere in the United States Up to 80 percent travel to client sites Overview We are hiring a Python Backend Engineer to build production grade systems for client environments. This role combines backend engineering, data pipelines, and direct client collaboration. You will help design and deliver scalable solutions that power real business applications. Travel is a key part of this role, with regular time spent on client sites. What You Will Do Build backend systems and APIs using Python Develop and maintain data pipelines and integrations Deploy applications in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure Write clean, reliable, and production ready code Participate in code reviews and pair programming Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and client stakeholders Contribute to technical design and product decisions What You Bring 4 or more years of professional software engineering experience Strong Python development experience Experience building APIs using Django, Flask, or FastAPI Familiarity with data pipelines or ETL workflows Experience working with SQL databases such as Postgres or MySQL Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure Experience with Docker or containerized environments Strong communication and collaboration skills Travel Requirement This role requires up to 80 percent travel to client sites across the United States. Travel expenses are covered. Candidates must be comfortable working in a consulting environment and engaging directly with clients. Pay - very flexible just looking for right skillset + travel. $60-$90/hour
