Role Description The Senior Python Developer will work on a contract basis in a remote capacity, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and applications. Daily responsibilities include writing clean, efficient Python code, implementing APIs, integrating with databases, and optimizing application performance. The role involves reviewing code, providing technical guidance to other developers, and participating in architecture and design discussions. The Senior Python Developer will also troubleshoot production issues, contribute to documentation, and follow best practices in version control, testing, and deployment. Qualifications Strong proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) with extensive experience in Python. Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including building and consuming RESTful APIs. Solid background in Software Development, including design patterns, testing, and debugging. Practical experience working with Databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), including schema design and query optimization. Experience with modern development tools and practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker or other containerization technologies). Familiarity with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) for deploying and scaling applications. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with distributed teams. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Previous experience in a senior or lead developer role, mentoring other developers and contributing to technical decisions.
