Software Engineer (C++)

Overview Our client, a global financial services organization, is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and support high-performance trading applications. This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical, low-latency systems while collaborating with experienced engineering teams in an Agile environment. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable C/C++ applications. Deliver software features from design through implementation and production support. Collaborate with architects, engineers, QA, and product stakeholders. Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and engineering best practices. Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical discussions. Ensure software meets security, quality, and performance standards. Identify opportunities to improve development processes and leverage AI-assisted development tools. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Strong experience with C/C++ development on Unix/Linux platforms. Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases. Knowledge of messaging technologies (e.g., Solace, Protocol Buffers) and event-driven systems. Experience with Jira, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development. Strong understanding of software design principles, secure coding, and problem-solving. Preferred Experience with trading systems, capital markets, or financial services. Knowledge of low-latency or high-performance distributed systems. Experience with microservices, AWS, Docker, or other cloud technologies. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot, Kiro, or similar. Compensation : $136,000 to $175,000 annually Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
