Waymo is an autonomous driving technology company with the mission to be the world's most trusted driver. Since its start as the Google Self-Driving Car Project in 2009, Waymo has focused on building the Waymo Driver—The World's Most Experienced Driver™—to improve access to mobility while saving thousands of lives now lost to traffic crashes. The Waymo Driver has provided over ten million rider-only trips, enabled by its experience autonomously driving over 100 million miles on public roads and tens of billions in simulation across 15+ U.S. states. The Growth Machine Learning Engineering team partners closely with Data Science to take models from experimentation into reliable production. We own the underlying ML data infrastructure: standardizing shared feature definitions, eliminating data leakage in training pipelines, automating scheduled retraining, and establishing safeguards so faulty batch scoring runs never affect live promotions. By managing data integrity, deployment pipelines, and production monitoring, we provide the dedicated engineering support needed to keep model-driven growth initiatives dependable and scalable. You will: Own the feature layer between the Growth DB and the models. Work with data engineering on schema design for ML features, and with data science to turn their feature lists into versioned feature definitions that training and scoring both read from. Build point-in-time correct training data, so a retrain sees each day as it was and does not leak future data. Data science has already named this as a gap in today's pipelines. Take models data science has trained and put them into production: validate against the offline results, wire them into batch scoring, and add input and output checks that stop a bad run before promos go out. Lead training automation: scheduled retrains, a model registry, and validation before a new model version is promoted. Monitor models in production: feature drift, score distribution shifts, and model versus random arm results. Be data science's day-to-day engineering counterpart, so feature and modeling questions do not queue behind the tech lead. You have: Experience at roughly building production ML systems: feature pipelines, training data generation, batch inference. Strong SQL and Python, plus large-scale data processing (Flume, Beam, Spark or similar). Designed feature schemas or worked on a feature store, and understands point-in-time correctness and train/serve skew from having fixed them. Productionized and owned the lifecycle of an existing offline model Worked with data scientists and can turn a loose feature request into a spec. We prefer: Background in uplift modeling, causal inference or experimentation (A/B tests, holdouts), enough to understand what the models need. Experience in ads, marketing, recommendations, pricing or promotions. Familiarity with feature stores, workflow orchestration (Airflow or similar) and distributed SQL databases. #LI-Hybrid The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Our top sales team members seek to learn the ins and outs of the businesses they support in order to make a larger impact.  You build genuine relationships with your customers: The industries we serve have relied on pen-and-paper solutions for years and haven't been met with the type of technology we offer. Our customers value earned trust and human relationships built over time. You want to be with the best: Samsara's high-performance culture means you'll be surrounded by the best and challenged to go farther than you have before.  You are a team player: At Samsara, sales is a team sport. We help each other out by sharing best practices and focusing on winning as a team. Articulate to prospects how businesses like theirs use Samsara today to solve obstacles common to their industry. Deliver the work products that get deals done.  Think discoveries, demonstrations, value assessments, proof of concept implementations, etc. Walk installers through any scenario, explaining best practices for installing Samsara products and helping build deployment plans. Write sample proof-of-concept scripts against our open API that solve real-world problems for companies that deliver essential services (for example), and document them for your fellow SE's to use. Open the door for deeper entrenchment into accounts (integration, upsell, cross-sell) by becoming a consultant to your customers. Act as a liaison between Samsara's product and sales teams, translating technical feedback and enrolling the right customers in our beta programs. Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices. We created Chime—a financial technology company, not a bank—on the premise that core banking services should be helpful, easy, and free. Through our user-friendly tools and intuitive platforms, we empower our members to take control of their finances and work towards their goals. Whether it's starting a savings account, purchasing a first car or home, launching a business, or pursuing higher education, we're proud to have helped millions unlock their financial potential. We're a team of problem solvers, dreamers, and builders with one shared obsession: our members. From day one, Chimers have worked tirelessly to out-hustle and out-execute competitors to bring our mission to life. Their grit and determination inspire us to work harder every day to deliver the very best experience possible. We each bring an owner's mindset to our work, refusing to be outdone and holding ourselves accountable to meet and exceed the highest bars for our teams, our company, and our members. We believe in being bold, dreaming big, and taking risks, while also working together, embracing our diverse perspectives, and giving each other honest feedback. Our culture remains deeply entrepreneurial, encouraging every Chimer to see themselves as stewards of our mission to help everyday Americans unlock their financial progress.  We know that to achieve our mission, we must earn and keep people's trust—so we hold ourselves to the highest standards of integrity in everything we do. These aren't just words on a wall—our values are embedded in every aspect of our business, serving as a north star that guides us as we work to help millions achieve their financial potential.
