About Us At Cloudflare, we are on a mission to help build a better Internet. Today the company runs one of the world's largest networks that powers millions of websites and other Internet properties for customers ranging from individual bloggers to SMBs to Fortune 500 companies. Cloudflare protects and accelerates any Internet application online without adding hardware, installing software, or changing a line of code. Internet properties powered by Cloudflare all have web traffic routed through its intelligent global network, which gets smarter with every request. As a result, they see significant improvement in performance and a decrease in spam and other attacks. Cloudflare was named to Entrepreneur Magazine's Top Company Cultures list and ranked among the World's Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company. At Cloudflare, we're not looking for people who wait for a polished roadmap; we're looking for the builders who see the cracks in the Internet that everyone else has simply learned to live with. We value candidates who have the instinct to spot a "normalized" problem and the AI-native curiosity to create a solution using the latest tools. Our culture is built on iteration, leveraging AI to ship faster today to make it better tomorrow, while ensuring that every improvement, no matter how small, is shared across the team to lift everyone up. If you're the type of person who values curiosity over bureaucracy, and that AI is a partner in solving tough problems to keep the Internet moving forward, you'll fit right in. Available Locations San Francisco, US We are only considering locally based candidates OR candidates looking to move to the Bay Area. Senior Customer Engineer - (AI & Start-Ups)  For San Francisco based hires: Estimated annual salary of   $213,500 – $335,500 OTE, Base + Commissions. About the Role Digital Native SEs at Cloudflare work with the most innovative and cutting-edge companies on the planet — the startups and high-growth, cloud-native businesses that are building the next generation of Internet products. These are companies where the developers  are  the decision makers, and where the CTO is often personally responsible for shipping new products and getting the company's AI initiatives off the ground. This role is for a technologist who genuinely enjoys being in the room with builders. You'll be equally comfortable jumping into a Slack channel with a founding engineer, whiteboarding an architecture with a lead developer, and stepping into a strategic conversation with a CTO about their platform and AI roadmap. You speak the language of engineers fluently and can hold a credible, detailed technical conversation — but this is  not  a software developer role, and you won't be writing production code every day. Your superpower is technical discovery, translation, and evangelism: understanding what a builder is trying to accomplish, mapping it to the full breadth of the Cloudflare Developer Platform, and inspiring teams to build on Cloudflare rather than just consume a single service. The Digital Native segment leans heavily on Solutions Engineering to lead technical discovery within the cloud-developer vertical. You'll be expected to go deep on the Cloudflare Developer Platform — Workers, Durable Objects, Workers AI, R2, KV, D1, Vectorize, Queues, Pages, and the broader developer ecosystem — far beyond basic storage, and to make the case for Cloudflare as  the  place to build. This role covers both the acquisition of new Digital Native accounts and the expansion of existing ones. The ideal candidate is a "builder" personality with a strong mix of pre-sales/technical customer-facing experience who thrives in an agile, fast-moving environment. What you'll do as a Senior Solutions Engineer The Pre-Sales Solution Engineering organization owns the technical sales of the Cloudflare solution portfolio, ensuring maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design and adoption roadmap for our customers. Solution Engineering is made up of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds including but not limited to Sales Consultants, Technical Consultants, Technical Support and Program Managers. You are a customer-facing technologist within the Cloudflare Solutions Engineering team, focused on the developer-first, digital-native segment. You have experience in a pre-sales or other technical customer-facing role, and you're at your best when engaging directly with engineering teams and technical founders. In this role you'll partner closely with the sales team from the very start of the cycle — joining early discovery calls, qualifying opportunities from the get-go, and embedding yourself in customer Slack channels and working sessions. You'll lead technical discovery, deliver compelling demos and architecture discussions, run proof-of-concept builds, and evangelize the Cloudflare Developer Platform as the foundation for our customers' next products and AI initiatives. Responsibilities Specifically, we are looking for you to: Lead technical discovery within the cloud-developer vertical — asking the right questions to uncover how a customer builds, what they're trying to ship, and where Cloudflare fits. Engage early and often: join sales-led discovery calls from the outset, help qualify deals from the get-go, and stay embedded with customer teams (including in their Slack channels and working sessions) throughout the cycle. Identify and map customer initiatives and business problems — especially around new product development and AI initiatives — to the Cloudflare platform. Build relationships and technical champions within customer accounts, from founding engineers and developers up to the CTO. Develop and present tailored technical content and demos for both hands-on developer audiences and senior technical leadership. Lead demo and proof-of-concept / build activities for Cloudflare prospects and customers. Evangelize the Cloudflare Developer Platform (Workers, Workers AI, Durable Objects, R2, D1, KV, Vectorize, Queues, Pages and more) — making the case for customers to  build on  Cloudflare, not just use it for storage or CDN. Demonstrate your expertise with your peers through the creation of professional content, including reference architectures, demos, blog posts and other knowledge-sharing activities. Represent and evangelize Cloudflare externally at Developer, Community, Technology and Industry events with thought leadership and expertise. Apply in-depth vertical knowledge or domain expertise. Advise on best practices. Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Previous experience as a Solutions Engineer or other customer-facing technical role, ideally selling to or working with developer-led, cloud-native, or startup organizations. A genuine "builder" mindset and the personality to match: you enjoy talking to developers, you're curious, and you naturally gravitate toward technical problem-solving conversations. The ability to speak engineers' language credibly — you can hold your own on architecture, APIs, and platform design —  without  this being a hands-on, code-every-day developer role. Strong technical discovery instincts: you know how to draw out requirements, qualify fit early, and separate real needs from noise. A good mix of pre-sales / technical sales experience and comfort operating in an agile, fast-moving environment (joining Slack channels, iterating quickly, engaging in early-stage calls, and qualifying deals from the start). Solid communication, written and presentation skills, with the range to talk to both a hands-on developer and a CTO in the same day. Ability to work on several projects and activities concurrently. Highly driven, curious, team-oriented, and able to work with a sense of urgency. You've built web applications before, or contributed to existing web applications in a meaningful way — enough to have real empathy for how developers work. Polished communication and executive presentation skills with the ability to drive a discussion with a broad range of stakeholders (from the web developer to the CTO/CISO). Relationship building: a proven track record of building deep technical relationships with engineers and technical founders. Experience managing various stakeholder relationships to build consensus on technical solutions/projects. Experience managing technical sales within accounts, including developing champion-style relationships, driving technical wins, and assisting with technical validation. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in relevant work experience. The role requires up to 50% travel to attend meetings with prospects or customers, attend conferences and other industry events, and to collaborate with your Cloudflare teammates. A deep understanding of the Cloudflare Developer Platform and core industry components (and a desire to learn more): The Cloudflare Developer Platform  — serverless compute and application development with Workers, Durable Objects, Workers AI, R2, KV, D1, Vectorize, Queues, and Pages. Familiarity with building or architecting applications on a serverless/edge platform is a strong plus. AI/GenAI application patterns — inference at the edge, RAG, vector databases, and how startups are operationalizing AI initiatives. HTTP technologies including reverse proxy (e.g., WAF and CDN), forward proxy (secure web gateway), and serverless application development. Internet security technologies including DDoS and DDoS mitigation, Firewalls, TLS, VPN, DLP. Networking technologies including TCP, UDP, DNS, IPv4 + IPv6, BGP routing, GRE, SD-WAN, MPLS, Global Traffic Management. Zero-trust network access (ZTNA & SASE) concepts including identity management and authentication. Cloud computing technologies such as AWS, GCP, Azure and others. Some scripting or programming familiarity with one or more of JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Golang, BASH — enough to read code, build a demo, and converse with engineers (not to ship production software). Understanding of, or experience with, regulatory requirements such as FedRAMP, GDPR, PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOC-2, ISO/IEC. An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. Reminder: this is not a strict requirement at all. Candidates from all walks of life are welcome. You can translate technical concepts and jargon for a wide variety of audiences: from systems engineers, to front-end developers, through to technical founders and C-levels. You want to be constantly learning new things and teaching what you've learned to the broader team through internal and external blog posts, team demos, and product training sessions. You have a knack for understanding problems and finding creative ways to solve them. Our product suite is ever-growing, and knowing how to identify which parts will solve a customer's particular problem is important. You understand how to manage a project, work to deadlines, and prioritize between competing demands. Compensation Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. For San Francisco based hires: Estimated annual salary of   $213,500 – $335,500 OTE, Base + Commissions. Equity This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare's equity plan.   About Gusto At Gusto, we're on a mission to grow the small business economy. We handle the hard stuff — payroll, health insurance, 401(k)s, and HR — so owners can focus on their craft and their customers. With teams in Denver, San Francisco, and New York, we support more than 500,000 small businesses nationwide and are building a workplace that reflects the people we serve. All full-time employees receive competitive base pay, benefits, and equity (RSUs) — because everyone who helps build Gusto should share in its success. Offer amounts are determined by role, level, and location. Learn more about our Total Rewards philosophy . AI is a fundamental part of how work gets done at Gusto. We expect all team members to actively engage with AI tools relevant to their role and grow their fluency as the technology evolves. AI experience requirements vary by role and will be assessed during the interview process. About the Role: As a Finance Intern on Gusto's Finance, BizOps & Strategy (FBOS) team, you'll spend 12 weeks working on real projects that shape how we run the business. You'll support leaders in Customer Experience, EPD, and Corporate Development, helping turn financial data into decisions about margin, cost to serve, and resourcing. Day to day, that means building financial reports, analyzing costs to find savings, and partnering with teams across Gusto on projects that move the team's roadmap forward. Along the way, you'll use AI tools and automation to work faster and go deeper than a traditional finance internship allows. You'll be paired with a dedicated mentor and a team manager who will support you from onboarding through your final presentation. By the end of the summer, you'll have seen firsthand how finance works as a true partner to the business. Please note: We'll be offering only one cohort start and end date (Cohort 1: May 17, 2027 - August 6, 2027). Deadline to Apply: Monday, October 26th at 4:00 pm PST About the Team: You'll join Gusto's Finance, BizOps & Strategy (FBOS) team, which provides financial, operational, and strategic support at the corporate, department, and product level as we scale to serve even more customers. Our partners sit directly inside business orgs like Customer Experience, EPD, and Corporate Development, translating financial data into operating decisions on margin, cost to serve, and resourcing. As Gusto evolves into an AI native company, we're using automation, predictive insights, and smarter data systems to define and defend our business model while accelerating growth. As a Finance Intern, you'll see firsthand how finance works as a true partner to the business rather than a back office function. Here's what you'll do day-to-day: Work cross-functionally on high-impact projects that use data, automation, and AI-powered tools Build and maintain recurring financial/operational reporting for your partner org Analyze cost or margin drivers and summarize findings for non-finance stakeholders Support a defined roadmap project end-to-end alongside your mentor Partner with CX/EPD/Corp Dev counterparts on data requests and ad hoc analysis Here's what we're looking for: Rising junior or senior (entering your 3rd or 4th year after this internship) Demonstrates genuine interest in financial trends, technology innovation, and applying classroom knowledge to real business challenges Comfortable working in Excel/Google Sheets; curious about how AI tools can speed up analysis work Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate findings clearly to non-finance stakeholders Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment Our cash compensation amount for this role is $32.70/hr for undergraduate students in Denver and $42.07/hr for undergraduate students in New York. At Gusto, we don't use titles the traditional way, as a signal of rank or hierarchy. Instead, our titles describe two things at once — your craft (what you do, e.g. Engineering, Design) and your scope of ownership (what you're accountable for) — which is why you'll see something like "Head of X" instead of a rank word like "Director" that tells you neither. Because of this, the title on this posting may look different from what you'd expect based on the scope and seniority of the role, and from how similar roles are typically titled elsewhere. If you have questions about how this role compares to your current title or level, your recruiter can help translate. Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale. Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.  When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required. This includes non-office days for hybrid employees. Reliable, consistent presence: We expect regular and predictable attendance, whether you're working in-office, hybrid, or fully remote, so that you stay closely connected to your team, customers, and stakeholders in real time and ensure colleagues and customers receive the timely support and responsiveness they deserve. Our customers come from all walks of life and so do we. We hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds, not just because it's the right thing to do, but because it makes our company stronger. If you share our values and our enthusiasm for small businesses, you will find a home at Gusto.  Gusto is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Gusto considers qualified applicants with criminal histories, consistent with applicable federal, state and local law. Gusto is also committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans in our job application procedures. We want to see our candidates perform to the best of their ability. Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way. The Community You Will Join:  Technology Finance partners across Infrastructure, Engineering, and Product teams to plan, forecast, and manage the cost of running Airbnb's cloud and AI platforms. The team sits at the intersection of finance and technical infrastructure, translating usage trends — cloud compute, storage, and AI spend — into forecasts and cost narratives that inform company-wide investment decisions. Key cross-functional partners include Engineering, Procurement, and FP&A, among others. The Difference You Will Make: This role owns the understanding, forecasting, and influencing of Airbnb's total cloud and AI spend, spanning traditional AWS infrastructure and AI. Success looks like a cost narrative leadership can act on, and identified efficiency opportunities that measurably bend the cost curve without degrading product or employee experience. A Typical Day:  Build and maintain the monthly/weekly cloud and AI cost forecast, reconciling actuals against plan and explaining variance drivers to leadership. Track AI spend by category and by model/provider mix, flagging shifts in usage or pricing that affect the forecast. Own migration-tracking reporting (e.g., provider mix shifts, cost impact of model changes) and ensure the underlying data is traceable back to source systems. Prepare and present cost updates to a broad, senior audience, translating technical usage data into clear financial narratives. Identify and quantify new cost efficiency opportunities in partnership with technical stakeholders, and track them through to landed savings. Run monthly and ad hoc reviews with Finance and Tech leadership Your Expertise: 10 years of finance, FP&A, or cost management experience, ideally including direct exposure to cloud infrastructure costs  Prior experience with AI/ML infrastructure costs strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain complex financial models and forecasts in ambiguous, fast-changing environments. FivetranUSA - Remote - MI (Fully Remote)14 days ago
InternshipFully RemoteMid$218,487 - $218,487 / Year
s3sqlsnowflakedatabricksdbtdbt+10

From Fivetran's founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We're proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven. About Us Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Together, we're delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on. Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions. As we bring our teams and technology together, we're building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It's an exciting time to join us: we're creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact. During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites. About the Role We're looking for a Partner Solutions Architect to own the global technical relationship with Snowflake and Databricks. Snowflake and Databricks are two of Fivetran + dbt Labs' largest platform alliances. This is a global role scoped to those two partners. For each, you will own the technical alliance plan worldwide, the joint technical narrative, and our joint integration and roadmap priorities with each partner to drive cosell revenue. You will also own our technical presence at major milestones such as Snowflake Summit and Databricks Data + AI Summit, our two largest partner events. Functionally, the role sits at the intersection of field engineering, product management, partnerships, and partner marketing. Your closest counterparts are the global alliance managers for Snowflake and Databricks, the regional partner sales managers who run the Snowflake and Databricks motions in AMER, EMEA and APJ, the geo partner solutions architects, and product managers across both product lines. You will report to the global head of partner solutions architecture. This is a full-time position, which can be either remote (US) or hybrid depending on location. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team. What You'll Do Own the global technical alliance plans for Snowflake and Databricks. Build each plan with the partner's alliance and product leadership, agree it with our own, and drive it through both field organizations. Own the joint technical narrative and the capability messaging for the combined dbt + Fivetran platform on Snowflake and Databricks, including reference architectures, integration patterns, and the joint value story that partners and sellers use with customers. Build reusable collateral, playbooks and enablement assets for the broader partner solutions architecture team and for the partners delivering on Snowflake and Databricks. Maintain a single, current view of integration state, gaps and opportunities across the combined platform on Snowflake and Databricks, covering ingestion, transformation, Fusion, the semantic layer, catalog and metadata, open table formats, and agent and MCP interfaces, and collaborate with our Product organization to drive the right outcomes. Serve as the primary technical counterpart to the partner engineering and partner product teams at Snowflake and Databricks, and run the standing technical cadence with each. Own our technical presence at Snowflake Summit and Databricks Data + AI Summit, including hands-on labs, sessions, demos, and the technical readiness of the team who staff each event. Partner with the regional Partner Solutions Architects and Partnerships organization so global alliance strategy turns into regional execution, and so they can run the motion without you in the room. Travel approximately 30% for alliance planning, technical workshops, executive meetings and partner events, including international travel.   Skills We're Looking For 6+ years in solutions architecture, sales engineering, partner engineering, technical product management, developer relations, or another customer-facing technical role in data and analytics. Fluency across the modern data stack (ingestion, transformation, orchestration, warehouses and lakehouses, open table formats, semantic layers, catalogs, BI, and the emerging agent and MCP layer) and the ability to explain how the pieces fit. Hands-on knowledge of Snowflake and/or Databricks, plus strong SQL and data modeling fundamentals, with genuine technical credibility in front of partner engineers. Sound product and strategic judgment and reasoning Strong presentation and facilitation skills for workshops, hands-on labs, keynote-adjacent sessions and large partner technical audiences. Proven ability to drive outcomes in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with multiple stakeholders Bonus Skills Experience owning a technical alliance, with a track record of shaping what a partner built and how the two products fit together Experience with partner-facing APIs, SDKs, drivers, or integration certification programs Background in product management or technical product marketing alongside a field engineering career Familiarity with cloud marketplace motions and co-sell programs The compensation range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire compensation for the target position and level, and may include sales incentives or target bonuses depending on the role.  Our compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
