Swarm Aero is redefining air power, building the largest swarming UAV and the most versatile swarming aircraft network in the world. The company is moving quickly to launch the first aircraft designed specifically for swarming, as well as the Command & Control software to mobilize swarms of thousands of heterogeneous autonomous assets and empower human operators to achieve superhuman results. The team has created and exited multiple startups, negotiated defense deals worth billions of dollars, and designed and built 30+ novel aircraft, with aerospace experience from Scaled Composites, Airbus, Archer Aviation, Blue Origin, and Boom Supersonic. About the Role Most software engineers never see their code tested against reality. At Swarm Aero, that's the baseline. We are looking for a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to embed directly with U.S. government and military customers and own the technical success of our C2 systems in the field. You will be the person who makes our software work -- not in a lab, not in a staging environment, but in real operational contexts across domestic and international deployments. Austere locations, high-stakes timelines, and complex distributed systems are the job. This is a full-scope engineering role. You will build critical integrations, debug core services, contribute to new development, and ship solutions that warfighters and government operators depend on. If you want to write code that matters and see it run in environments most engineers never touch, this is the role. What You'll Do Build and own critical software integrations that bring our C2 systems to life in customer environments -- from initial deployment through production reliability across diverse hardware configurations and operational contexts Debug complex distributed systems issues in the field, analyzing logs, network traffic, and system performance to resolve failures fast and with minimal support Contribute to core service development alongside the engineering team, bringing field insight back into the product and shipping improvements that make a direct operational difference Write code daily across the full stack -- solving customer-specific integration challenges, contributing to core service development, and building monitoring and reliability solutions that hold up in the field Support continuous operational environments, including non-standard hours, on-call response, and rotational coverage aligned to mission tempo Travel domestically and internationally (up to 60%) to test sites and customer locations -- deploying software, troubleshooting issues in the field, and feeding hard-won requirements back to engineering Collaborate with U.S. military and government program offices on-site and remotely, translating complex operational requirements into software solutions This Role Is For You If You want to see your code run in high-stakes, real-world environments -- not just pass CI You thrive on solving hard integration and deployment challenges independently, without a safety net You're comfortable being the most technical person in the room in dynamic, unpredictable field conditions You adapt to shifting schedules and operational demands without losing rigor or precision This Role Is NOT A pilot position or flight test engineer role Primarily hands-on hardware work (electronics, wiring, mechanical assembly) A traditional SRE or DevOps role with predictable hours and controlled environments Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated ability Strong proficiency in at least one major programming language (Python, C/C++, Golang, or Java) Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: NAT, DNS/mDNS, UDP/TCP protocols, multicast, and firewall configuration Experience with Linux system administration and shell scripting Proven debugging skills across complex software systems -- you know how to read logs, use debuggers, and trace issues systematically Excellent communication skills for engaging with U.S. government and military customers and internal engineering teams Willingness and ability to travel 60% of the time, both domestically and internationally, including to remote or restricted-access locations Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance. About the Role We've built an autonomy stack that already runs on real programs and real hardware, and we designed it to be platform-agnostic from the start. The next step is the one that matters most: scaling it onto our own aircraft to field the largest drone swarm in the world. We're looking for a Software Engineer, Autonomy to own that stack and lead the work. This is a high-leverage technical role. You'll own the architectural direction for the perception, planning, and control systems running onboard every vehicle in the swarm, and you'll raise the bar for the autonomy engineers building around you. What You'll Do Own and evolve our autonomy stack, extending proven robotic foundations with agentic AI for onboard reasoning, adaptation, and swarm coordination at scale. Harden and extend the inter-robot and C2 communication protocols behind tactical swarm decision making on the edge, including under degraded and contested comms. Revisit and defend the hard technical tradeoffs as we move to aircraft and scale: onboard vs. offboard compute, centralized vs. distributed decision making, determinism vs. adaptability. Some of our current answers carry over. Some won't survive the move to airborne compute and contested comms. You'll decide which. Take autonomy capability from integration and test into fielded operation, and close the loop from test data back into the stack. Mentor and technically guide a growing team of robotics engineers. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, and set the standard for what good looks like. Travel up to 25% of the time for onsite test and integration events. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field. 3+ years building soft-real-time embedded systems. Deep expertise in at least one systems language (Golang, Rust, or C/C++). Proven experience deploying and validating robotics algorithms (Dubins planning, SLAM, Kalman filters, particle filters, A*, behavior trees, reinforcement learning, etc.). Working knowledge of embedded systems (SPI/I2C/serial protocols, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, microcontroller programming). Strong networking fundamentals (NAT, mDNS, UDP/TCP, multicast, firewall configuration). Excellent software engineering practices with emphasis on testable, reliable code. Preferred Qualifications Experience with perception systems, sensor fusion, or multi-target tracking (Kalman-based trackers, JPDA, MHT, or similar). Contributions to deployed robotics or IoT systems requiring complex edge processing (aerospace, autonomous vehicles, etc.). Experience with robotics middleware (DDS/ROS2, ZeroMQ, gRPC) and serialization formats (Protobuf). Familiarity with government UxS interoperability standards (OMS/UCI, STANAG 4586, FACE). Hands-on electronics skills (breadboarding, soldering, schematic interpretation, datasheet analysis). Deep learning experience. ITAR requirement To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. This is the work that decides whether capability survives contact with real hardware in the field. What You'll Do Build and extend components across our autonomy stack: planning behaviors, vehicle software, sensor and payload integration, and simulation. Grow the on-vehicle software platform into a real integration surface for first and third-party sensors, payloads, and software modules, so new capability drops in instead of getting rebuilt each time. Create and validate physically realistic simulations of UxS, and keep sim honest against what we actually see in flight and field test. Legion's Command & Control platform lets a single operator plan, direct, and execute missions across a networked swarm of heterogeneous aircraft, in real time, over intermittent comms, at a scale nobody else in the industry is attempting. That means distributed state under unreliable networks, dense telemetry moving fast enough to strain anything you've built before, and interfaces for a problem space that barely has prior art. You'll work across the stack, wherever the hard problem is that week. WHAT YOU'LL DO Build and ship features in the C2 system that directs swarms of heterogeneous aircraft Work on systems that hold state and stay responsive when comms degrade or drop entirely Move between the interface layer and the services behind it, following the problem rather than a job description Prototype new ways to represent and control vehicle telemetry, sensor data, and scheduling Take features end to end, from a rough problem statement through design, implementation, and deployment Ship early and often, backed by strong CI/CD, QA, and DevSecOps WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent self-taught depth Real strength in fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, concurrency, networking, systems Evidence you've built something hard because you wanted to. A renderer, an emulator, a game, a compiler, a multiplayer server, a robotics project, a serious open source contribution. We care more about what you've built than where you worked Comfort writing code at more than one layer of the stack, and no strong attachment to staying at one Willingness to work on problems where the right answer isn't known yet, and to be wrong in public on the way to finding it WHAT SETS YOU APART Competitive programming background (ICPC, IOI, Codeforces, USACO, Putnam) Game development, game jams, engine work, or simulation Performance-sensitive work: profiling, frame budgets, memory pressure, running on constrained hardware Real-time or distributed systems experience: multiplayer netcode, streaming, pub/sub, robotics middleware Graphics: WebGL, OpenGL, Vulkan, shaders Working fluency in Go, C++, or Rust Familiarity with video streaming protocols or geospatial applications WHY THIS ROLE You'll be one of the earliest engineers shaping how humans command autonomous systems at scale, work that's currently being defined in real time, by a small team, with your fingerprints on the architecture. The team has created and exited multiple startups, negotiated defense deals worth billions of dollars, and designed and built 30+ novel aircraft, with aerospace experience from Scaled Composites, Airbus, Archer Aviation, Blue Origin, and Boom Supersonic. Read this part first Somewhere out there is a sourcer who is better than their job title says they are. They hit their numbers at a company that never let them talk to a hiring manager. They found the candidate nobody else found and watched a recruiter take the credit. They have been told to be patient, to wait for the next cycle, to earn it. We are not going to make you wait. What we do We build autonomous aircraft and Legion, the software that flies hundreds of them as one coordinated swarm. Series A, backed by Khosla Ventures, and Coatue. We are hiring software engineers and aircraft engineers at the same time, which is hard, and how fast we hire is one of the few things standing between the current aircraft and the next one. That is not a motivational line. It is the actual constraint. Recruiting is on the critical path here, and you will be able to see your work in the flight schedule. The job You own top of funnel for our software engineering roles: backend, frontend, autonomy, forward deployed. You will be reading GitHub profiles, writing outreach that engineers answer, and building searches that keep producing after the obvious names are gone. Then the interesting part. Inside your first year you move onto the aircraft side: propulsion, structures, avionics, manufacturing, production. Almost nobody sources both. The people who can are rare enough that it changes what your career looks like from that point forward. We will teach you, and you will be bad at it for a while, and then you will not be. What you get here that you did not get there Your own reqs, early, with your name on the outcome Hiring managers in the same building, not behind an intake form The freedom to change the message when it is not working, without asking three people first Someone who runs sourcing searches themselves every day and will look at your search strings with you A skill set at the end of two years that maybe a few hundred people in the country have What we need from you 1+ years of sourcing or recruiting, most of it in software engineering A hire you are proud of, one nobody else was going to find, and the ability to walk us through exactly how you found them A high tolerance for silence, because most of your outreach will go unanswered and the job is making the next message better anyway Real curiosity about how aircraft get built, or at least the honesty to say you find it interesting and want in Writing that sounds like a person, since your entire work product is text a stranger decides to open or delete Clean data habits, because our reporting goes to the CEO and it needs to be right What we do not need Ten years of experience. A recruiting pedigree. A degree in anything specific. Permission from your current manager to be good at this. The honest version The pace is uncomfortable. You will be asked to fill roles you do not understand yet, and the answer will usually be to go learn them rather than to wait for a briefing. If you want a clear ladder and a quiet quarter, this is the wrong job. If you have been waiting for someone to hand you something real, this is the shot. Case Resolution Engineer
Elation Health
Elation HealthRemote (Fully Remote)14 days ago
InternshipFully RemoteMid$70,000 - $70,000 / Year
pythonjavascriptsqlclinicaltriagecad+4

Headquarters: Canada - Remote Our team is committed to enhancing physician and patient quality of life through Elation, a SaaS cloud-based clinical platform. Since inception, we've been focused on building a delightful, world-class experience that empowers physicians to deliver phenomenal care to patients. Customer support has been the same job for twenty years: a queue, a ticket, an SLA, a closed case. That's ending, fast. Over the next 6–9 months, AI will take on more of the routine, repetitive cases at Elation. That doesn't shrink the human role — it builds on it. The work becomes product intelligence: shaping how AI handles conversations, holding the customer-trust moments that need real judgment, and turning patterns into priorities Engineering delivers. We're hiring Support Engineers to anchor that shift: people who don't just close tickets, but trace them back to the line of product code causing them, ship the fix that resolves the customer's problem immediately, and partner with senior engineers on the cases complex enough to need them. You might be the recent engineering grad who spent a summer at a busy front desk, in a popular restaurant, or on a support line because you like people as much as you like problems, and who's been quietly automating things nobody asked you to fix since your first CS class. Or, you might be the person who leads team projects, tinkers with the dashboards, automations, or workflows so automatically that colleagues assume you are an engineer even if you aren't. If that sounds like you, this role turns that problem-solving instinct into your core responsibility. As a Support Engineer, you'll bring empathy and judgment to the cases that need it most, own the quality of AI-driven solutions in your domain, and synthesize patterns that influence Product and Engineering roadmaps. We hire for judgment, taste, and curiosity, not process adherence. The bar isn't how many cases you closed; it's how much you reshaped the conditions under which cases happen. Role and Responsibilities Synthesize and share customer insights. Surface patterns from your cases in weekly and monthly reports, participate in Product and Engineering discussions with what you're learning, and mentor Support Team members on AI workflows, scripting, and SQL queries. Use Good Judgment to Solve Cases. Own customer escalations with cases that genuinely require seasoned judgment, the ones AI can't safely close. Build and protect customer trust in moments that matter. Build and own AI quality. Configure AI within Elation's stack (intents, knowledge sources, escalation rules), build lightweight external automations and scripts, and own the quality of AI outputs in your domain. What success looks like in your first 6 months Delivered solutions that reduced case volume by 10% or eliminated recurring issue categories, with measurable customer impact (e.g., CSAT, reduction in case reopens) A monthly drumbeat of synthesized insights that Product and Engineering act on, with visible impact on customer experience or a measurable drop in case volume Owns a measurable case-volume reduction in your domain by making cases not happen, not by closing them faster You question default workflows instead of just executing them, and you ship more by removing work, not just doing more of it You build with AI to make yourself and the teammates around you faster — automating triage, drafting responses, prototyping internal tools, and turning one-off builds into reusable patterns Support can run with You've picked up or sharpened a technical skill — SQL, Python, an API, a scripting language — specifically because a customer problem needed it, not because a course assigned it Mentors Associate teammates on AI builds and pattern synthesis Identified and closed gaps across internal and customer-facing documentation, improving accuracy and reducing repeat questions. Headquarters: San Francisco Bay Area (or Remote U.S.) Discord has a highly engaged community of millions of daily active users who use the platform for many different reasons, but there's one thing that nearly everyone does: play video games. Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming, and we are focused on making it easier and more fun for people to hang out before, during, and after playing games. Discord's Safety ML team builds the machine learning systems that protect 200M+ users. The team's mission is to make Discord a place where people can build genuine friendships without exposure to harm, at a scale where manual review alone can never keep up. We're looking for a highly technical, hands-on, and mission-driven Engineering Manager to lead our Safety ML team. As the manager responsible for Safety ML, you will own the detection systems that sit between attackers and our users; real-time and batch models for content understanding, account integrity, and platform abuse. What You'll Be Doing Build and lead an exceptional team of highly-engaged ML engineers by hiring, coaching, and instilling a sense of ownership and impact. Drive the technical vision and roadmap for Safety ML by collaborating with your team and partners across Trust & Safety, Product, Policy, Legal, and Data Science. Own the end-to-end lifecycle of production safety models: defining new capabilities, measuring performance, and monitoring the operational health of systems that make millions of enforcement decisions per day. Manage processes and leverage your technical expertise to continually raise the bar and ensure your team delivers extraordinary results. Partner with Trust & Safety on label quality, golden sets, and automating manual investigations. Work with other Engineering Managers to continuously improve the Engineering organization and uphold our workplace philosophy . What you should have You have 5+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, or Applied Scientist. You have 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager and successfully managed a team of 5+ engineers. You have hands-on depth in at least one of: abuse/fraud detection, content classification, behavioral modeling, graph-based modeling, or LLM-based classification systems. You have strong communication skills and the ability to work well cross-functionally. You thrive in ambiguous environments and get excited about figuring out solutions to complex problems, and then executing on them. You are a first principles thinker that can work with others to come up with pragmatic solutions. You have a proven record of shipping ML systems to production at scale. You are passionate about coaching and leading other engineers, but can roll up your sleeves and get elbow deep in code when needed. You keep up with the industry trends and continuously identify new technologies to leverage to solve technical problems The US base salary range for this full-time position is $272,000 to $340,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
