About Anthropic Anthropic's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. Note: this job post is for Fullstack Software Engineers only. If you are a Backend Engineer, please see our Backend Software Engineer post here . About the role We are looking for fullstack software engineers to help build safety and oversight mechanisms for our AI systems. As a software engineer on the Safeguards team, you will work to monitor models, prevent misuse, and ensure user well-being. This role will focus on building systems to detect unwanted model behaviors and prevent disallowed use of models. You will apply your technical skills to uphold our principles of safety, transparency, and oversight while enforcing our terms of service and acceptable use policies. We have multiple teams that are currently hiring within Safeguards. Team placement occurs after the interview process, taking into account your interests and experience alongside organizational needs. This flexible approach allows us to match talented engineers where they'll have the greatest impact and growth potential. Responsibilities: Design and build the internal review tools analysts use to investigate abuse — dashboards, case queues, and evidence viewers that make high-volume, high-stakes decisions fast and accurate. Build the interfaces where humans supervise agents: streaming output, interruption and approval flows, and clear provenance for every action an agent takes. Surface abuse patterns to our research teams through the visualizations and exploration tools that make emerging patterns legible. Own the frontend architecture for tools handling sensitive data at scale — performance under large datasets, correctness under real-time updates, and access controls enforced end to end. You may be a good fit if you have: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or comparable experience Proficiency in TypeScript and modern React; comfortable in Python for backend work The ability to work across the stack Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Strong candidates may also: 8+ years of experience in a software engineering position, not including internships or co-ops Have experience building data-dense internal tools or operator interfaces, not just marketing or consumer surfaces Have experience with integrity, spam, fraud, or abuse detection and mitigation Have experience building trust and safety detection mechanisms and intervention for AI/ML systems Have experience with prompt engineering, jailbreak attacks, and other adversarial inputs Have worked closely with operational teams to build custom internal tooling The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: $405,000 — $485,000 USD Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices. Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this. We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team. Your safety matters to us. To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit anthropic.com/careers directly for confirmed position openings. How we're different We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences. Come work with us! Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues. About the role Growth at Anthropic is about helping people discover what Claude can do and make it part of how they work, from someone's first session to an entire company rolling out Claude. We're a small design team working across all of Anthropic's products, on problems that often don't have established playbooks, because the products and the capabilities behind them change so quickly. We drive growth by making the product itself better, favoring foundational changes and new product experiences over small optimizations. Our focus spans whatever most limits Anthropic's growth, and priorities can shift quickly. As a senior Product Designer on Growth, you'll own how Claude grows with people who use it for their everyday work. You'll dig into why some people make Claude a habit and others don't, find the real bottlenecks, and lead the product changes that move them. You'll set the vision for this area, partner closely with product, engineering, and data science, and raise the quality bar for the designers around you. We're looking for designers who thrive in ambiguity and pair sharp diagnostic judgment with exceptional craft. You form a clear point of view from messy signals, prototype quickly to test it, and drive alignment across teams to ship it. You use tools like Claude Code to explore ideas and push what's possible. Key responsibilities Own growth for how people use Claude in their everyday work, end to end, as your full-time focus Diagnose what drives deep, habitual use and what blocks it, combining data, research, and hands-on time in the product Set an opinionated vision for the area and turn it into a roadmap with your PM, engineering, and data science partners Redesign core parts of the product to drive growth, from onboarding and first-run experiences to the everyday workflows people rely on most Shape hypotheses and experiments, and judge results with a nuanced view of how we win, not just the topline metric Deliver exceptionally crafted interactions and set the quality bar for your area Drive alignment with partner teams whose work touches your area, connecting individual use to team and company adoption Mentor other designers, and frame problems clearly enough that others can own them Prototype and test ideas quickly with Claude Code and other AI tools Minimum qualifications A portfolio of shipped product design work that shows product vision and a high level of craft Experience owning growth for a major product area end to end, including diagnosing problems and setting direction Deep growth design experience in activation, onboarding, retention, engagement, or expansion, on a product at meaningful scale Hands-on experience designing, launching, and interpreting experiments, and using them to make product decisions Fluency with product analytics such as funnels, retention, and engagement Proficiency with design, prototyping, and AI tools, such as Figma and Claude Code, and a habit of learning new tools to push what's possible Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience driving alignment across product, engineering, and data science Preferred qualifications Experience leading growth strategy across multiple teams or product areas Experience designing enterprise/B2B SaaS, productivity, or collaboration tools Experience with product-led growth, from a single user to a team to a company-wide rollout Experience mentoring designers or shaping a design practice Comfort querying data yourself with SQL or a similar tool Experience prototyping with front-end code (e.g., HTML/CSS/JS) Experience defining AI-powered workflows for yourself or your team A clear point of view on when a product should ask for attention, and when it should stay out of the way Passion for building safe, beneficial AI that helps people do their best work Representative projects Diagnose why some people make a product part of their daily work and others drift away, then lead the changes that close the gap Redesign a core part of the product so people return to it more often and get more value each time Set the vision for a product's first-run experience and lead it through experiments to a redesigned, permanent flow Design the path from one person's daily use to their whole team adopting it The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role As a Podcast Media Manager at Anthropic, you will own how Claude shows up in podcasts, one of our most important channels for reaching professionals and knowledge workers. This is not a traditional media buying role. We're looking for someone to build a refreshed, proactive podcast strategy: securing the right shows before they're obvious, going beyond standard ad reads, and creating unique partnerships that fully integrate our product into shows in ways no other brand is doing. In this role, you'll own our podcast program end to end, from annual strategy and show selection through network buys, scripts, pacing, and reporting across 100+ shows. You'll sit on the influencer marketing team and partner closely with growth marketing on performance goals and in-house campaigns, brand marketing on major campaign flights, enterprise marketing on B2B buys and scripts, creative and copy teams on reads and refreshes, comms teams on messaging and media buying teams/agencies on execution. Key responsibilities Own podcast strategy for Anthropic, setting where we show up instead of reacting to inbound pitches Lead podcast strategy flights for major campaigns end to end, from planning through reporting Manage network buys across major audio publishers including Spotify, Amazon, NYT, and others Develop year-long buys with top shows and media outlets, identifying and pitching partners before they come to us Build partnership packages that go beyond ad reads to include bonus episodes, video, live events, and social Partner with creative and copy teams as their main point of contact on podcast work, establishing a repeatable process for scripts and copy points Manage voice-actor reads and QA spots before they air Develop a refresh cadence for reads so messaging stays current across 100+ shows, tailored to each show's audience Manage agency relationships, pushing partners to deliver the best rates, placements, and ideas Track pacing across buys and shift budget as performance data comes in Present results and learnings back to the team on a regular basis Partner with growth, brand, and enterprise marketing to align podcast plans with performance goals, campaign flights, and B2B objectives Minimum qualifications Have deep experience in podcast media buying at a tech or consumer company with a substantial podcast budget Have managed podcast programs in-house directly, not only through an agency Have run both agency partnerships and in-house podcast programs, and know how to get the best work out of each Are skilled at managing and pushing media agencies to secure strong rates, placements, and ideas Can spot up-and-coming shows before they're obvious and back your picks with a clear rationale Bring creative ideas that go beyond the standard ad read, from bonus episodes to live events to product integrations Are comfortable owning the details of execution, including scripts, QA, pacing, and reporting, alongside long-range strategy Work well across many partner teams and can build repeatable processes that scale Enjoy shaping a program from the ground up rather than maintaining an existing playbook Are excited about Anthropic's mission to develop AI that is safe and beneficial Preferred qualifications Experience negotiating year-long or multi-format partnerships with top shows or networks A background in copywriting or close collaboration with creative teams on host-read scripts Familiarity with B2B audiences and enterprise-focused podcast buys Experience with podcast measurement, attribution, and incrementality testing Relationships with major audio publishers, networks, and independent hosts Experience extending podcast partnerships into video, social, or live formats Familiarity with AI products or the broader developer and knowledge worker audience The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. About the role Anthropic's Customer Success organization covers our most strategic enterprise accounts through dedicated Customer Success resources, but the majority of our customers will never be reached that way. Programmatic Customer Success is how we close that gap: scalable digital journeys, AI-built engagement plays, and partner-delivered activation motions that drive habitual Claude adoption across a much broader customer base. This is a new function, and you'd be its first leader. You'll report to the Head of Strategic Deployments & Success and work closely with Product, Partnerships, Growth Marketing, and Strategy to design and operate the system that moves customers from signed contract to deeply embedded, outcome centric usage. The right person for this role has built something like this before, at real scale, and is genuinely excited to build it again from the ground up with better tools. We anticipate using Claude as a core part of how the team operates, but will supplement with best of breed SaaS products where appropriate. Key responsibilities Define the customer journey and moments that matter along the journey that lead to daily usage of Claude in a way that delivers outcomes for Claude users Define and own the programmatic CS strategy: how we tier accounts, what motion each tier receives, and how customers move between them as their needs evolve Design and ship digital success programs, including lifecycle communications, in-product nudges and self-serve onboarding in a way that drives activation and habitual usage without human-touch coverage Build and run AI-powered engagement plays that extend the team's reach; work with Product to clarify what this team builds versus what lives in the product itself Set the quality bar and requirements for partner-led activation, and maintain a tight feedback loop with our Partnerships team who owns the partner ecosystem Establish the metrics framework for programmatic success: define what "activated" means at each tier, identify leading indicators, and build the instrumentation to track them Run a rigorous experimentation program to understand which motions actually change customer behavior Hire and lead a small, high-leverage team while bringing cross-functional partners along on the vision and the operating model Minimum qualifications Proven experience leading and building programmatic, digital success, lifecycle, or PLG motions at significant scale — with direct ownership of an adoption or activation outcome Track record of building scalable systems and programs, not just managing existing ones; you've started from a blank page before Strong cross-functional instincts — comfortable writing briefs that other teams execute against, resolving handoff ambiguity, and influencing roadmaps without direct authority Data-driven approach to decision-making, including experience designing experiments that distinguish real behavior change from activity metrics Experience managing and developing teams Preferred qualifications Experience spanning more than one of: digital/PLG, partner ecosystems, lifecycle marketing, or scaled CS — ideally combined into a single integrated motion Hands-on familiarity with AI-powered workflows or automation as a force multiplier for a small team Background working at a fast-growing technology company where the playbook was still being written Experience with tiered coverage models and designing the handoffs between high-touch and low-touch The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: $365,000 — $435,000 USD Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role AI is changing what security teams can do. Claude can find and help fix vulnerabilities in code at a pace that wasn't possible a year ago, and we want defenders to have that advantage first. As a Cybersecurity Sales Specialist, you'll own Anthropic's security business across the accounts in one of our business units, such as financial services, healthcare and life sciences, or technology. You'll lead the security strategy with CISOs, partnering with the Account Executives who own the accounts in your industry to drive opportunities and put Claude to work on their hardest security problems. You'll help decide how we sell security, what we learn from customers, and how that shapes our products. The work matters to our mission: a safe transition through transformative AI depends on the people who defend critical systems being able to use it well. Responsibilities: Build and close security business, from the first conversation with a CISO's team through contract and expansion, working with the Account Executive who owns each relationship Create security pipeline with the Account Executives in your industry, from their existing accounts and through outbound to security leaders, events and joint work with partners Lead with the customer's problem: finding and fixing vulnerabilities, application security, security operations, and deploying AI agents securely Partner with your Applied AI engineers on discovery, proofs of concept and architecture, and know when to bring them in Guide customers through security reviews, verification for security use cases, and procurement Teach the Account Executives in your business unit to spot and qualify security opportunities Bring what you hear from security teams back to our product, safeguards and marketing teams You may be a good fit if you: Have closed complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals where the security organization was the buyer or the deciding approver Have worked as a specialist alongside account teams while carrying your own number, and can say exactly what you did to win the deal Can hold credible conversations with a CISO, an application security lead and a security engineer about how their work gets done Have deep experience in at least one security domain, such as application security, vulnerability management, security operations, cloud, data, identity or endpoint security Build pipeline where there's no playbook yet, through outbound and partners rather than inherited accounts Lead through influence, not authority: Account Executives bring you into their accounts because you help them win Sell consultatively: you understand the problem before you propose anything, and you're honest about what a product can't do Care about making AI systems safe and beneficial Strong candidates may also have: Experience selling security in one of the industries we cover, and an understanding of how security is bought and regulated there Experience selling AI, developer or data platform products to technical buyers Hands-on experience as a security practitioner or sales engineer before moving into sales The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. Program Overview Many of the questions that will shape our future have no single checkable answer. Reasoning well about them, whether in law, policy, philosophy, economics, cognitive science, or AI safety itself, takes the kind of judgment experts spend years building. We believe frontier AI, developed safely, can become a real partner on these questions, but getting there means working closely with the people who know these fields best. This fellowship brings researchers and experts from philosophy, cognitive science, economics, policy, and law into Anthropic for four months to work alongside our research teams. Fellows pair deep domain expertise with our frontier models and internal tooling to evaluate, improve, and apply Claude's capabilities in their field. What to Expect: A concrete, scoped project matched to your background, with mentorship from Anthropic researchers. Access to frontier Claude models and internal evaluation tooling. A cohort of incoming Fellows to collaborate with and a connection to Anthropic's broader research community. Compensation: $100,000–$167,000 USD for the four-month fellowship (equivalent to $300,000–$500,000 USD annualized), and other benefits. Key responsibilities Identifying key open problems in your field, assessing approaches to solving them, and using Claude to make progress on them. Identifying grand societal challenges which the expertise of your field is crucial for addressing, and assessing Claude's strengths and weaknesses in tackling them. Designing evaluations and RL environments that test models in your field systematically, turning your expertise into working tests of how well Claude reasons in your field. Team up with other Fellows in your field to build environments that push Claude on the hardest, most judgment-heavy problems your discipline has to offer. Minimum qualifications Are excited about the potential for AI to reason well about hard questions in their field where expert judgment matters. Hands-on experience using Claude and Claude Code in your day-to-day workflow. Hold (or are completing) a PhD in philosophy, cognitive science, economics, policy or law, or have equivalent research experience. Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-agency atmosphere for a few months and delivering concrete results. Existing authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the program. Preferred qualifications Experience designing evaluations, benchmarks, datasets, or expert rubrics. Demonstrated expertise in your field, shown through research, scholarship, or expert-level analytical writing. Representative projects A philosopher building hard cases that require normative judgment in ethics or formal epistemology. A cognitive scientist designing experimental-design and model-comparison tasks. An economist writing modelling and identification problems with ground truth. A policy scholar drafting regulatory and cost-benefit analysis tasks with expert rubrics. A legal scholar building AI-policy-relevant law datasets. Logistics - Fellows The program runs from January 12th to May 8th 2027 , and is full-time for the duration; some fellowships may be considered for an extension. Applications are open until October 28, 2026 , and we plan to make offers by November 20th. Later stages will typically include a take-home exercise and conversations with our research team and potential mentors about your research interests and possible project directions. We ask that all Fellows attend a one-week in-person orientation in San Francisco. The default location is in San Francisco. We will consider remote engagements within the United States in certain circumstances. We are not currently able to sponsor visas for fellows. To participate in the Fellows program, you need to have or independently obtain full-time work authorization in the United States. This is a fixed-term contract position. Fellows are engaged through an employer of record, rather than employed directly by Anthropic. The below are Anthropic's policies for full time roles. These do NOT apply to the Fellows Program.
