Digital Adoption & Lifecycle Manager
MixpanelSan Francisco (Fully Remote)22 days ago
ContractFully RemoteMid$174,600 - $213,400 / Year
dentaltaxinsurancehubspotsalescustomer success+2

About Mixpanel Mixpanel is the leading product intelligence and analytics platform, trusted by more than 29,000 companies to help understand how people use the products they build. By combining powerful analytics with AI that knows your business, Mixpanel helps teams see what's working, diagnose what's not, and decide what to build next. Learn more at mixpanel.com . About the Customer Digital Experience Team Customer Digital Experience sits within Customer Engineering, the technical arm of Mixpanel's Customer organization. A Our sharpest focus is the digital-only segment: thousands of companies with no proactive account coverage. Some have technical resources available to them, but that support is entirely reactive. It answers the ticket and solves the problem in front of it. Nobody is watching for the customer who implemented and then never built a report, or the account whose usage has been sliding for a month. Our job is to be proactive,, and everything we build should be as automated as possible, without a human initiating it. Our programs run across the full customer base and are not one-size-fits-all. We build flows that branch and adapt by segment, tuning the content, timing, and channel for who's receiving them. An onboarding flow for a digital-only customer carries the whole experience; the version reaching an account with a dedicated team is tuned to complement what that team is already doing. Same underlying program, deliberately different execution, continuously optimized based on what each segment responds to. We're close to the data and to the technical reality of how customers implement and use Mixpanel. We're not guessing at what customers are doing; we can see it, and we build against it. This is a small, new team standing up a new function. The playbook isn't written yet; we're writing it together. About the Role As our Digital Adoption & Lifecycle Manager, you'll own the communications that drive adoption, retention, and expansion across Mixpanel's customer base, with our digital-only customers as the sharpest test of whether the programs work. You'll design lifecycle programs triggered by real behavior: a team that just implemented but hasn't built their first report, an account whose query volume dropped for three straight weeks, a power user hitting the edge of their current plan. Then you'll write the emails and in-product messages that move them forward. This is a builder's role, not a maintainer's role. You'll define the segmentation, write the copy, set up the triggers, instrument the measurement, and then argue with the data about what to change. It's also a deeply collaborative one. You'll work hand in hand with our Customer Success Digital Programs Manager, sharing a roadmap and dividing the work. You'll partner with Marketing on the overall email calendar so our lifecycle sends and their campaigns aren't competing for the same inbox. You'll support adoption initiatives coming out of Product, turning a launch into something customers actually try. And you'll take cues from customer-facing teams about what's landing and what isn't. Very little of this job happens alone. You'll also help define what agentic customer success looks like at Mixpanel. The scaled programs we build today are rules and triggers; the ones we build next will involve AI agents that can interpret a customer's situation, decide what that customer needs, and act. We're early here and we don't have the answers. We want someone who is already experimenting, who already has opinions about where agents help and where they break trust, and who wants to shape how this gets built. If you like clean handoffs and finished systems, this isn't it. If you want to build the thing from zero and own the number it moves, read on. Responsibilities Build the lifecycle communication program end-to-end across onboarding, adoption, retention, and expansion, from strategy through copy, build, launch, and iteration Create programs that serve the full customer base while working hardest for digital-only customers, and decide where messaging should differ for accounts with a dedicated team Design behavior-based segmentation using product usage, health signals, lifecycle stage, and account attributes; define the triggers that decide who hears from us and when Write clear, useful customer-facing copy across email, in-product messaging, and other digital channels that reflects Mixpanel's voice and gives customers a reason to act Build and ship campaigns in tools like Customer.io, HubSpot, and Statisfy, including the audience logic, templates, and QA that keep them reliable Partner with Marketing on the shared email calendar, coordinating timing, frequency, and audience overlap so customers get a coherent experience instead of three messages in one week Support product-led adoption initiatives by translating launches and feature pushes into lifecycle moments that get customers to try the thing, and report back on whether they did Keep our library of lifecycle messaging current as the product changes, retiring what's stale and rewriting what no longer matches reality Define success metrics for every program, instrument them in Mixpanel, and run a regular reporting cadence on engagement, adoption lift, and downstream retention and expansion impact Run experiments on subject lines, timing, sequencing, channel mix, and audience definition, and kill what doesn't work Work with customer-facing teams to learn what resonates in conversations, translate it into programs that reach customers without proactive account teams, and make sure digital touches complement rather than collide with human ones Pilot agentic approaches to scaled customer success, where an AI agent can personalize a touchpoint, surface the right next action, or handle a customer interaction end-to-end, and develop a point of view on what should be automated, what should stay human, and how we'd know the difference Identify gaps in our data, tooling, and process, and propose what we should fix first. This program is new and the infrastructure is being built alongside it. We're Looking For Someone Who Is: Experienced in customer lifecycle communications, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment, focused on post-sale adoption, retention, and expansion rather than demand generation or pre-sales An excellent writer who can be concise, specific, and useful to a technical audience Hands-on with lifecycle and marketing automation platforms (Customer.io, HubSpot, Braze, Iterable, or similar); you build the campaign yourself, you don't hand off a brief Fluent in product analytics (Mixpanel or similar) and comfortable pulling your own data to define segments and measure results Familiar with customer success platforms (Statisfy, Gainsight, Totango, or similar) and how health signals and customer data feed scaled programming Strong at segmentation, able to reason about cohorts, behavioral triggers, and audience overlap, and knows when a segment is too small to matter Data-driven in practice, not just in principle; forms a hypothesis, measures the result, and changes course based on what the data actually says Comfortable being measured on business outcomes, not open rates alone. You've directly contributed to metrics like GRR, NRR, activation rate, and time to first value. Genuinely collaborative. You've coordinated a shared calendar with Marketing, taken input from customer-facing teams, and supported someone else's launch without needing it to be your project. Experienced working alongside customer-facing teams and comfortable earning their trust when your programs touch their customers Able to drive projects forward independently across teams, with the judgment to prioritize, make tradeoffs, and keep things moving without a defined playbook Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by building from the ground up Actively experimenting with agentic customer success. Not just using AI to draft copy, but thinking about where AI agents can take real action in the customer lifecycle. You've tried things, you've seen what falls over, and you have a point of view on what's ready and what isn't. We'll ask you what you've built or what you're ideating on. Using AI purposefully in your day-to-day: drafting and iterating on copy, analyzing campaign performance, scaling research and segmentation work Nice to Have Experience launching a scaled or digital customer success program at a company that didn't have one before Experience serving a long-tail or self-serve customer base where digital is the only channel available, alongside segments that have dedicated account teams Experience with in-product messaging tools and lifecycle orchestration beyond email Hands-on experience deploying an AI agent into a real customer-facing workflow, at any scale, including the ones that didn't work #LI-Remote Compensation The amount listed below is the total target cash compensation (TTCC) and includes base compensation and variable compensation in the form of either a company bonus or commissions. Variable compensation type is determined by your role and level. In addition to the cash compensation provided, this position is also eligible for equity consideration and other benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage. You can view our benefits offerings here . Our salary ranges are determined by role and level and are benchmarked to the SF Bay Area Technology data cut released by Radford, a global compensation database. The range displayed represents the minimum and maximum TTCC for new hire salaries for the position across all of our US locations. To stay on top of market conditions, we refresh our salary ranges twice a year so these ranges may change in the future. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, qualifications, and other factors. If you have questions about the specific range, your recruiter can share this information. Mixpanel Compensation Range $132,000 — $162,750 USD Benefits and Perks Comprehensive Medical, Vision, and Dental Care Mental Wellness Benefit Generous Vacation Policy & Additional Company Holidays Enhanced Parental Leave Volunteer Time Off Additional US Benefits: Pre-Tax Benefits including 401(K), Wellness Benefit, Holiday Break please note that benefits and perks for contract positions will vary Culture Values Make Bold Bets: We choose courageous action over comfortable progress. Principal Software Engineer I - CI/CD - Platform Engineering Productivity
Full TimeHybridPrincipal$159,800 - $159,800 / Year
kubernetesargocdgithub actionsbuildkiteci/cdplatform engineering+10

Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables everyone to find the answers they need in real time, using all their data, at scale — unleashing the potential of businesses and people. The Elastic Search AI Platform, used by more than 50% of the Fortune 500, brings together the precision of search and the intelligence of AI to enable everyone to accelerate the results that matter. By taking advantage of all structured and unstructured data — securing and protecting private information more effectively — Elastic's complete, cloud-based solutions for search, security, and observability help organizations deliver on the promise of AI. What Is The Role : The Platform Engineering Productivity team operates the CI, CD, and Release infrastructure for the company. We ensure developers can efficiently and safely deploy changes across our various environments and at scale. In an age of AI, the landscape is evolving rapidly from scaling needs to, more than ever, securing our supply chain. There are interesting challenges to tackle.   We're looking for a proactive systems thinker who delivers on business-driven projects while identifying and driving the work that keeps our infrastructure ahead before scaling and security challenges become problems. If you're energized by work that makes every engineering team at Elastic ship faster and more securely, we'd love to hear from you. What You Will Be Doing : Define the roadmap and technical vision for CI/CD, from problem identification through org-wide adoption. Identify where CI/CD is a bottleneck, a source of friction, or a security risk before it becomes an incident, and drive the remediation rather than waiting to be assigned it. Design and enforce release gates covering supply chain integrity, artifact provenance, and release readiness, built to scale across teams without becoming a tax on engineering velocity. Direct engineers on your team through complex, multi-quarter projects: break down the architecture, assign the work, and own the outcome even when the execution is distributed. Drive clear technical communication and alignment across teams, and produce high-quality documentation for systems, processes, and architectural decisions. Serve as Incident Commander on high-severity supply chain or release incidents, and use each incident as a forcing function for structural improvements. Raise the engineering bar across the org through code review, mentorship, design review, and by setting standards others adopt voluntarily. Remain hands-on at the right depth: you'll review code, prototype approaches, and debug production issues, but your primary leverage at this level is through the work of others, not your own output. What You Bring : Deep expertise in CI/CD and what it takes to harden a release pipeline against supply chain attacks. Strong debugging instincts across the full pipeline stack: you trace failures from test runner to artifact store to cluster deployment without needing a specialist for each layer. Hands-on with CI infrastructure (Buildkite, GitHub Actions, or equivalent), GitOps/ArgoCD, and Kubernetes. You use AI to accelerate your own work and your team's and you understand AI's impact on supply chain security and scale. A track record of multi-quarter, cross-org ownership: you've identified the right problem, designed the solution, and gotten organizations that didn't report to you to change how they work. The judgment to push back on a prescribed plan when it's the wrong call, and the credibility to get alignment on a better approach. Experience directing the work of other engineers toward outcomes not just collaborating, but breaking down complex problems into executable work and holding the outcome.   Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary.  This role does not have a variable compensation component.   The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below.  In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below.  These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.   An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. Our work informs teams at every level of Asana and drives key roadmap decisions. We partner with Product Design, Product Management, Data Science, and Engineering, as well as business and marketing teams, to develop valuable insights about customer behaviors and attitudes, translating them into actionable recommendations. We think deeply about new areas, help develop and test concepts, and improve products and services once they've rolled out. As a Senior Experience Researcher, you will be a strategic partner who not only executes high-impact research but also shapes the research culture to elevate our collective craft. This role is based in our Vancouver office. Day to day collaboration is split roughly 50/50 between Vancouver teammates and San Francisco teammates. Locally, you will work closely with our PLG Adoption teams, specifically partnering with the AI Activations (AIA) and Conversion and Retention (CoRe) teams. Key local partners include Product Managers, Designers, and Engineering leads. We operate with an office-centric hybrid schedule. In-office days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you interview for this role, your recruiter will share more about in-office requirements. In this role, you will help shape and scale Asana's Product-Led Growth (PLG) self-serve business. We recently launched several major new products—including AI Teammates, a Meetings product, and Asana for Client Management (ACM). We are also preparing two more major product lines for launch, which will unlock entirely new workflows and use cases for our customers.  Historically, our growth relied on selling more seats or moving customers to higher tiers. Now, we have multiple new growth vectors, from AI credit consumption to these brand new product offerings. You will play a pivotal role in uncovering how to introduce users to these products, encourage users to try them, adopt them into their daily workflows, and deepen their usage over time.    The Experience Researcher plays a key role in defining the product roadmap and influencing how our PLG adoption strategy evolves.  What you'll achieve In your first 4-5 months, you will partner with Adoption teams on immediate Q4 roadmap priorities, building out the self-serve pathways to buy and adopt our newest products. Over time, your remit will expand as we roll out self-serve motions for additional products. Be a strategic partner: Together with your cross-functional partners (Product, Design, Engineering, Data Science) you'll uncover how to best introduce users to Asana's new products, encourage users to try them out, drive adoption in daily workflows, and deepen usage over time.    Drive ACM self serve growth:  Research how users discover Asana for Client Management (ACM), start using it, adopt advanced features, and expand its footprint across their organization. Uncover opportunities and pathways for how AI teammates, the Meetings product, and the client portal help customers extract more value from ACM and invite cross-functional collaboration. Lead research on new concepts: Lead research on new concepts: Drive exploratory and evaluative research for upcoming product additions, assessing whether new concepts and personalized experiences feel valuable enough to encourage user engagement and organic sharing. Build a foundation for future PLG offerings: Identify high-impact research needs to support the self-serve rollouts for the next two major product launches.  Connect insights to business impact: Ensure research directly influences the roadmap to meet critical business metrics, supporting our goals for AI ARR growth, higher-LTV customers, and increased NRR. About you 6+ years of experience practicing UX Research for digital products, with a proven track record of leading large-scale projects.  Strong proficiency in mixed-methods research , seamlessly combining qualitative deep-dives (contextual inquiry, prototype testing) with quantitative validation (survey design, behavioral data analysis) to triangulate insights and build high-confidence recommendations. Mature product judgement with the ability to distill messy signal into clear, "low-polish" deliverables that drive immediate decision-making. Strong organizational leadership and the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams while building deep trust and rapport with senior stakeholders. Deep understanding of interaction design and content hierarchy, allowing you to partner effectively with Design and Content Strategy to reduce friction and drive user action. Persuasive communicator who can influence product strategy through storytelling and evidence-based recommendations. Actively experimenting with AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making. We're looking for researchers who can harness AI to extend and deepen the ways in which we develop insights and leverage them across the org. What we'll offer Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. Estimated Base Salary Range: $132,000- $178,000 Equity and Benefits: Compensation includes equity and a comprehensive benefits package. Well-being: Mental health, wellness & fitness benefits, and inclusive family-building support. Growth: Career coaching and professional development support. Culinary: In-office culinary options tailored to your dietary preferences. Future: Long-term savings and retirement plans. About us Asana is a leading platform for human + AI collaboration. Staff Software Engineer, Gusto Pro Integrations
GustoNew York, NY - Hybrid (Hybrid)22 days ago
InternshipHybridPrincipal$163,000 - $204,000 / Year

About Gusto At Gusto, we're on a mission to grow the small business economy. We handle the hard stuff — payroll, health insurance, 401(k)s, and HR — so owners can focus on their craft and their customers. With teams in Denver, San Francisco, and New York, we support more than 500,000 small businesses nationwide and are building a workplace that reflects the people we serve. All full-time employees receive competitive base pay, benefits, and equity (RSUs) — because everyone who helps build Gusto should share in its success. Offer amounts are determined by role, level, and location. Learn more about our Total Rewards philosophy . AI is a fundamental part of how work gets done at Gusto. We expect all team members to actively engage with AI tools relevant to their role and grow their fluency as the technology evolves. AI experience requirements vary by role and will be assessed during the interview process. About the Role: As a Staff Software Engineer on Gusto Pro Integrations, you'll build and own integrations between Gusto and the third-party tools accounting firms already use to run their practice. The team maintains a growing portfolio of integrations today (including our Bookkeeping integrations), and we expect that portfolio to keep expanding as the team grows what "integrations" means for Gusto Pro. You'll work hands-on across the stack (Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq), including evaluating both traditional API integrations and emerging AI agent protocols like MCP (Model Context Protocol), while partnering closely with Product, Design, and Data Science to make sure every integration fits naturally into how accountants actually work. This is a high-ownership role on a small, growing team: the Integrations roadmap ahead isn't fully defined yet, and you'll have real input into what gets built next. About the Team: The Gusto Pro Integrations team builds and maintains integrations between Gusto and the third-party software used by accounting firms — including our existing Bookkeeping integrations, with more added over time. We expect the set of integrations we own to keep growing, across the various tools and platforms accountants already rely on. We work closely with Gusto Pro's other teams to deliver a seamless experience for accounting professionals. Here's what you'll do day-to-day: Own and extend Gusto's existing third-party integrations and help build out new ones as the portfolio grows Design and build reliable backend services (Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq) that sync data between Gusto and partner platforms Evaluate and help build new integration patterns — including AI agent protocols like MCP — as we expand beyond traditional API integrations Help define the technical approach and roadmap as the Integrations domain grows Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science to validate accountant workflows and iterate based on feedback Participate in code review and help set the technical bar for a team that's still establishing its engineering practices Mentor other engineers as the team scales Here's what we're looking for: 8+ years of professional software development experience Experience owning multi-quarter projects end-to-end — scoping, planning, execution, stakeholder management, and launch Strong platform/application engineering background: services, APIs, third-party integrations, data flows, observability Comfortable operating in an ambiguous, early-stage domain where the roadmap isn't fully written yet Ruby on Rails experience strongly preferred; experience with OAuth and third-party API integrations a plus Familiarity with AI agent protocols (e.g., MCP) or agentic integration patterns is a plus Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical tradeoffs to both engineers and cross-functional partners AI-native mindset, with AI tools naturally embedded in your daily engineering workflow (code generation, review, debugging, documentation) Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $163,000–$204,000 in Denver, and $197,000–$247,000 for San Francisco, Seattle & New York. Stock equity is additional. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above. At Gusto, we don't use titles the traditional way, as a signal of rank or hierarchy. Instead, our titles describe two things at once — your craft (what you do, e.g. Engineering, Design) and your scope of ownership (what you're accountable for) — which is why you'll see something like "Head of X" instead of a rank word like "Director" that tells you neither. Because of this, the title on this posting may look different from what you'd expect based on the scope and seniority of the role, and from how similar roles are typically titled elsewhere. If you have questions about how this role compares to your current title or level, your recruiter can help translate. Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale. Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.  When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required. This includes non-office days for hybrid employees. Reliable, consistent presence: We expect regular and predictable attendance, whether you're working in-office, hybrid, or fully remote, so that you stay closely connected to your team, customers, and stakeholders in real time and ensure colleagues and customers receive the timely support and responsiveness they deserve. Our customers come from all walks of life and so do we. We hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds, not just because it's the right thing to do, but because it makes our company stronger. If you share our values and our enthusiasm for small businesses, you will find a home at Gusto.  Gusto is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate in hiring or any employment decision based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, genetic information, veteran status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or other applicable legally protected characteristic. Gusto considers qualified applicants with criminal histories, consistent with applicable federal, state and local law. Gusto is also committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans in our job application procedures. We want to see our candidates perform to the best of their ability. If you require a medical or religious accommodation at any time throughout your candidate journey, please fill out this form and a member of our team will get in touch with you. Gusto takes security and protection of your personal information very seriously. Please review our Fraudulent Activity Disclaimer . Personal information collected and processed as part of your Gusto application will be subject to  Gusto's Applicant Privacy Notice .
