Position Overview We're looking for a Product Designer to join our IRL (in real life) team, which owns the in-store side of Endear — including appointments, events, customer check-ins, and the administrative experiences behind those workflows. You'll design for store associates and managers running clienteling day to day, as well as admin users who help shape how those teams operate and manage their workflows. In this role, you'll own features and projects from understanding the problem through research, testing, iteration, and production-ready design, while partnering closely with our Head of Product Design on vision and direction. The IRL roadmap is early. Many of these features don't exist yet, so you'll be defining problems through research before designing solutions. This role is well suited for someone comfortable creating clarity when the solution isn't obvious. What You'll Accomplish In your first 6 months, you'll… Take ownership of IRL features from discovery through production-ready design Build a strong understanding of how store associates, managers, and admin users work within Endear Run research from early discovery through usability testing Design complete, accessible product experiences, including loading, empty, error, permission, and other key states. Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape solutions early in the process Use customer insight and data to inform design decisions and iteration In your first year, you'll… Build deeper ownership across the IRL product Deliver product experiences that improve how retail teams manage clienteling and in-store workflows Build a strong rhythm of discovery, testing, and continuous learning Strengthen your collaboration across Design, Product, and Engineering Demonstrate clear user and business impact through the work you ship You'll Thrive in This Role If… You enjoy taking ownership of a feature while collaborating closely on the broader vision and direction You're comfortable with ambiguity and zero-to-one product work You naturally think beyond the happy path and account for edge cases and complete product states You care about creating accessible experiences and solving the right problem, not just creating polished UI You enjoy working closely with Product and Engineering throughout the design process You're comfortable using research, data, and customer feedback to guide decisions You move quickly, seek feedback, and iterate based on what you learn You're curious about designing for AI You Have Experience With 2–5 years working in product design Independently owning features from discovery through implementation, with support on vision and direction Running user research from discovery through usability testing Translating broad or ambiguous problems into clear product solutions Working closely with Design, Product, and Engineering teams Designing complex, accessible workflows and accounting for loading, empty, error, and permission states Using qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions Building within established design patterns while knowing when something needs to evolve Using AI tools as part of your workflow and applying judgment to AI-generated output A portfolio that demonstrates strong product thinking and execution, and where you can articulate the impact of your work, with data where you had access to it Align With What We Value At Endear, we live by five core principles. Here's how they translate into what we're looking for in this role: Customer First: You start by understanding the people using the product, run thoughtful research, and use what you learn to shape better experiences. Take Ownership: You take responsibility for your features, follow through on the details, and care about the quality of what ships. Enable Autonomy: You communicate clearly, collaborate early, and give Product and Engineering the context they need to make strong decisions together. Under Promise, Over Deliver: You set realistic expectations, think through the details, and deliver complete, production-ready work. Innovate & Deliver Value Quickly: You're comfortable experimenting, using AI and other tools thoughtfully, and moving quickly without sacrificing sound product judgment. About the Team Endear's product organization is structured across three product teams: AI, IRL, and Core Flows, with one designer dedicated to each. As the IRL designer, you'll work closely with a Product Manager and 2–3 Engineers while also being part of Endear's three-person design team. You'll report to the Head of Product Design, who will provide vision, direction, mentorship, and support as you grow in the role. You'll partner most closely with: Head of Product Design: vision, direction, mentorship, feedback, and design leadership Product Team: roadmap alignment, priorities, customer needs, and business context Engineering Team: feasibility, implementation, and iteration You'll have access to mentorship, an education budget, and support around Endear's AI processes to help you continue developing your craft and expanding how you use AI in your work. We're a small team with big ambitions — collaborative, customer-obsessed, and deeply excited about the problems we're solving in retail. Our Hiring Process Recruiter Screen Behavioral Interview with the Hiring Manager Team Portfolio Review with Design, Product + Engineering Final leadership conversation Offer 🎉 Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $100K–$129K Fully remote, US-based team Comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, vision) Co-working or home office stipend Flexible PTO and unlimited vacation Education and learning support Opportunity to shape foundational product work in a transformative industry Location: This role is remote and US-based. Our full team comes together for an all-team standup every Monday at 8:00 AM Pacific, so you'll need to be available at that time. Apply Even If You Don't Check Every Box If this role excites you but you're unsure if you meet every requirement, reach out anyway. No retail or e-commerce background is required. Software Engineer, Infrastructure - Self Managed Experience (SMX)

If you want meaningful work, visible impact and put something genuinely rare on your CV, keep reading. About the role: We're hiring for Self-Managed Experience (SMX) — the team responsible for making Camunda 8 deployable in a self-service way for customers who run their own infrastructure. SMX covers two areas of work: installation artifacts (Helm chart, Docker Compose, C8Run) and reference architectures & cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure). This role sits primarily on the installation artifacts side — building, maintaining, and releasing the artifacts that ship Camunda 8 to every self-managed customer. You'll be fully embedded in that area day-to-day, but you'll work alongside the reference-architecture side of the team regularly, and SMX is actively working toward enabling every engineer to review and contribute across both stacks over time. SMX is also shifting from a purely artifact- and ops-focused team toward one in which engineers bring customer judgment and product sense alongside technical depth. That means engaging directly with the teams closest to customers — Support, Consulting, Presales — and using that signal to help shape what we prioritize, not just executing a fully-specced ticket. You'll find plenty of room to leave your own footprint: deployment automation, software and infrastructure testing, multi-region setups, and developer experience are all live areas of investment as the team matures from "basic install" toward full-lifecycle ownership (upgrades, backup/restore, disaster recovery). Curious about the kind of challenges you'll work on at Camunda? Watch this quick 30-minute talk from our engineers to learn more about the new Camunda Exporter and how we're solving complex problems at scale What You'll Be Doing: Build, maintain, and release C8 distribution artifacts for self-managed customers — Helm Charts (Kubernetes), C8Run, and Docker Compose — along with their documentation. Improve the reliability and usability of deployment artifacts across the full customer lifecycle: installation, upgrades, and day-2 operations, not just initial deployment. Engage directly with internal customer-facing teams (Support, Consulting, Presales) to understand real deployment problems, and use that signal to help shape what gets prioritized — not just how it gets built. Collaborate with Development Teams, Product Management, QA, and Documentation to ship integrated, tested, and documented releases. Take part in the team's shared medic rotation and resolve engineering-level support cases, feeding learnings back into development. Contribute to the shared tooling (review, deployment, and test tooling) that SMX is building so other Camunda teams can adopt it — this is one of the team's current investment areas. What success looks like (first ~3 months): Taken on your first medic rotation slot and support tickets to understand the stack, customer challenges, and deployment environments. Improved onboarding or documentation, turning your own ramp-up experience into concrete improvements. Contributed to artifact fixes, CI/CD enhancements, or test automation that strengthens release quality. Deliver structural improvement initiatives — a feature request, or a test/release improvement. Built working relationships with engineering, QA, and product peers, and started building context on the reference-architecture side of the team. Started forming your own view of a customer pain point from firsthand signal (support tickets, consulting feedback), not just from a ticket description. What You Bring: Ability and/or willingness to use our product, with genuine curiosity about the customer problem behind a ticket — comfortable asking "should we build this" as well as "how do we build this." Strong expertise in building, operating, and maintaining Helm Charts; deploying applications on Kubernetes; implementing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions; and managing infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform). Ability to create clear technical documentation and communicate effectively across teams. A pragmatic and autonomous approach to programming and problem-solving. You thrive as a manager of one — you build it, you own it — and take pride in delivering maintainable, operable software. Nice-to-haves: Experience running and operating on-prem/self-hosted software on Docker. Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar observability tools. Working knowledge of the Go programming language. Exposure to cloud infrastructure/IaC (Terraform, Crossplane) — useful as SMX moves toward shared review capability across installation artifacts and reference architectures.
