The Role At Medium, designers and engineers work across the full range of the product development process. As a teammate, you'll demonstrate empathy for your coworkers, to contribute to a workplace we love, and the resilience to be able to take feedback from anywhere, consider it gracefully, and fold it into your thinking and work. What You'll Do Collaborate closely with other engineers, designers, and leadership to translate product strategy and complex challenges into well-defined product initiatives. Own and execute high-quality designs, interactions, and prototypes that distill a product vision into tangible experiences for our users. Contribute to our design system to ensure a cohesive and scalable visual language across the product. Conduct user research to uncover pain points and opportunities, using insights to inform design decisions. Represent the design team by upholding a high design bar, working with your teammates to make thoughtful, intentional decisions at every step. What You Have 7+ years of experience designing products in a fast-paced environment working closely with engineering, design, and product teammates to develop the strategy and rationale for features. An outstanding portfolio with presentable case studies of your best work, showcasing a foundation in typography, interaction and visual design, and idea generation for work you've shipped. The ability to tackle complex challenges and transform them into simple, intuitive experiences. The ability to change altitude from design details to big picture thinking, while maintaining a high pace of execution and quality bar. An understanding of design systems, including an understanding of how and why the field has evolved and a point of view on what comes next. A learning and growth mindset. We're a small team. Our shape and process will evolve and change many times over the next few years. We strive to continuously improve, iterate, and integrate what we learn—from our work and each other. Excellent written, verbal, and storytelling skills. We are a reading and writing company, after all! About Medium Medium is one of the world's most influential writing platforms, connecting millions of readers with ideas that matter. We're a small, dedicated team that cares deeply and takes real ownership of the problems we tackle, moving fast while building something that lasts. Our actions and decision-making are guided by four principles : Humans First, Deepen Understanding, Orient for Impact, and Ladder Together. About the Role We're looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to help build and evolve the Android experience that millions of readers and writers rely on every day. You'll own Android features end to end. That means digging into what users actually need, building it, shipping it, and paying attention to how it actually performs once it's out in the world. You'll work closely with our design team the whole way through. This is a product engineering role at heart. We don't have a dedicated product team, so you won't be handed a fully-specified ticket and told to go build it. Rather, you'll be the one figuring out what's worth building in the first place, partnering with design and other engineers, and making good calls when the ask is vague or doesn't quite solve the real problem. Android is where you'll spend most of your time, but we want someone who can also hold their own on at least one other platform, whether that's web, iOS, or backend. That range matters: it means you can see how a feature fits into the bigger picture, make good calls about where logic should live, and work credibly with whoever owns that other platform. What You'll Do Own Android features end to end. Understand the problem, build it, ship it, and see how it actually does Shape what gets built, not just how it gets built. Push back on scope, propose simpler solutions, and raise platform constraints early rather than after the fact Write idiomatic, well-tested Kotlin and Compose UI that fits naturally into the team's existing architecture Work directly with iOS, web, or backend engineers depending on what a feature needs, and help decide where functionality should live Partner with our leadership team, design team, and engineers in the US and France to turn a rough idea into something that actually ships well on Android Bring superb judgment to ambiguous requests. You can ask good questions, spot edge cases early, and propose reasonable first steps when the full scope isn't clear yet Own shaping product and feature spaces, maintaining and driving a sense of forward momentum even when the final destination of your work may not be clear Help raise the bar for the mobile team on code quality, testing, and product thinking Attend Medium's twice-yearly, in-person offsites (hosted in locations around the U.S.) What You Have You've spent several years building production Android apps and you're genuinely fluent in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, coroutines and Flow, and modern Android architecture You're an expert with all things Android engineering, but you can also hold your own on at least one other platform (web, iOS, or backend) and can work credibly there when a feature calls for it You think like a product engineer. You don't just build what's asked, but can own and appreciate the impact at a product impact altitude of your work. You understand the problem underneath the request, push back when something doesn't add up, and care about whether it actually worked once it shipped You've worked closely with designers and engineers on other platforms before. You're good at explaining a technical tradeoff in a way that actually lands for someone who isn't an engineer You have good instincts about systems, you're adaptable, and you're genuinely eager to learn. You can advocate for an approach while staying open to a better one. We care a lot about collaboration and psychological safety here. We want someone who adds to it You have the ability to push forward in ambiguity and make great trade off decisions to keep a project moving Nice to Haves Experience using AI to improve a team's leverage, reach, output and impact You've owned product direction yourself rather than just executing someone else's plan You personally use Medium and are genuinely excited to contribute to its mission, which is empowering humans to write meaningfully for other humans Benefits In addition to the new skills you'll pick up, here's what else you'll enjoy by working at Medium: Working with a fully distributed team: We're fully remote and have teammates across the U.S. & France Healthcare benefits covered at 100% for employees and 80% for dependents Generous parental leave policy Mental health support through Spring Health (or find a provider through Rula or Kaiser Mental Health Network) Financial wellness support through Northstar Stipends for co-working, professional development, wifi, and a one-time home office bonus Unlimited PTO and standard company holidays A discounted Medium membership Why Medium We're a small team doing meaningful work. Beyond guiding your team's execution, you'll have real influence over engineering strategy, culture, and direction. You'll work alongside people who are genuinely good at what they do and who care about building something worth building. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role Our Strategic Deals team originates, structures, negotiates, and closes the deals that secure the compute Anthropic uses to train and serve frontier AI systems. We work closely with engineering, infrastructure, finance, legal, product, and go-to-market teams to expand Anthropic's access to cloud capacity, silicon, networking, and the financing behind them. We are hiring several Strategic Deals Leads focused on compute and infrastructure. In this role, you will source opportunities, design partnerships, and negotiate high-value agreements with some of the world's largest technology companies, and you will connect deal terms to structured finance solutions. Your work will directly shape how quickly and reliably Anthropic can bring new compute online. Each hire will bring deep expertise in one or more of these areas while working across the broader infrastructure stack: Cloud compute: building and running a pipeline of capacity across established and emerging cloud providers, and structuring the financing that connects capacity commitments to their economics. Compute infrastructure: going deep into the silicon supply chain, structuring co-development and early-access deals with semiconductor and emerging hardware companies, and securing networking, backbone, and memory supply. Compute partnerships: owning multi-year partnerships with the largest cloud providers, where compute commitments, financing structures, model availability on partner platforms, marketplace and co-sell arrangements, and pricing and revenue-share constructs are negotiated together. Key responsibilities Own deals end to end in your focus area, from opportunity identification and term sheet development through diligence, negotiation, internal approval, close, and post-close execution Lead negotiations for complex, high-value agreements with hyperscalers and other cloud providers, semiconductor and hardware suppliers, networking and memory vendors, data center operators, and emerging infrastructure companies Bring capital markets and financing thinking to every transaction, including vendor financing, equipment leasing, capacity prepayments, project finance, and credit and residual value guarantees Build financial models, term analyses, and commercial frameworks that compare supply options and give leadership a clear view of value, tradeoffs, and risk-adjusted outcomes Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to understand future workload requirements and translate them into long-term supply strategies and commercially viable deal terms Build and own senior relationships with commercial, finance, product, and legal counterparts across the AI infrastructure ecosystem Drive internal alignment with legal, finance, engineering, product, and go-to-market teams on deal terms, risk parameters, and the approval path for large commitments Track market, technology, competitive, and financing developments across AI infrastructure, including supply constraints, and turn them into clear recommendations for senior leadership Represent Anthropic externally with corporate executives, investment banks, and infrastructure investors involved in our transactions Minimum qualifications A track record of originating, structuring, negotiating, and closing complex, high-value technology, infrastructure, or capacity transactions as the principal and lead negotiator (not in a supporting or advisory capacity) and the ability to operate independently from day one Transactional experience in at least one focus area: cloud capacity or data center transactions, semiconductor and hardware supply (accelerators, CPU, memory, or networking, including backbone), or hyperscaler and cloud partnerships Working knowledge of how large infrastructure commitments are financed, such as vendor financing, take-or-pay obligations, equipment leasing, or project finance, and the ability to shape financing terms alongside commercial terms Financial modeling skills to build and pressure-test the economics of large infrastructure transactions Experience developing term sheets and negotiating definitive agreements alongside legal counsel Ability to work with technical teams and translate engineering requirements into deal structures, contract terms, and strategic business recommendations Experience negotiating agreements that combine infrastructure or capacity terms with commercial, product, or go-to-market terms, and an understanding of how those components interact Experience building partnerships and influencing senior stakeholders across internal and external organizations, including executive leadership Preferred qualifications 8–10+ years of experience in strategic deals, corporate development, partnerships, investment banking, or business development at technology companies, hyperscalers, cloud providers, or financial institutions, with direct transactional ownership Direct experience working with or inside a hyperscaler on AI or cloud partnerships, including familiarity with model gardens, marketplaces, co-sell programs, and partner economics Experience managing multiple high-value transactions simultaneously at different stages of maturity and commercial development Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where market structures, provider economics, and partnership norms are still evolving A genuine interest in the future of AI infrastructure and in Anthropic's mission of building safe, beneficial AI We're hiring for several roles on this team. Apply once, and we'll match you to the focus area that best fits your background. The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. How we're different We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences. Come work with us! Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues. About Anthropic Anthropic's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role As a Senior Data Center Capacity Delivery Manager at Anthropic, you'll embed with project teams responsible for delivery of leased and partnered data center capacity. Your primary role will be to lead these partners to deliver on the fastest possible schedule while maintaining a safe construction site and protecting the finished quality of the data center. Additionally, you'll validate deal readiness, coordinate complex stakeholder relationships, maintain regular reporting and status tracking, and ensure seamless transitions from project inception through operational readiness. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how Anthropic secures and activates the compute infrastructure needed to train and deploy frontier AI systems, working at the intersection of real estate, construction, and cutting-edge AI infrastructure. Responsibilities Lead. This is a role where leadership trumps management and process. You will be at one or more project sites 60% of the time or more and expected to shape the culture, approach, and aggressiveness that define those extended site teams. The goal is to impact outcomes in a favorable manner. You are expected to be a force multiplier that develops and enhances the skillset that development partners, general contractors, and key trades bring to the project(s) you are overseeing. That means being a subject matter expert in the various cross functional elements of data center delivery and increasing the team's performance with that knowledge and commitment to alignment. Confirm deal readiness and serve as the gatekeeper to validate transaction viability from Letter of Intent (LOI) through lease execution, ensuring all predevelopment, planning, technical and business requirements are met before commitment Partner with landlords and developers post-deal to serve as Anthropic's primary point of contact, coordinating across internal stakeholders, tracking construction progress, and facilitating critical information exchange between development partners and Anthropic stakeholders Represent Anthropic in key technical and operational decisions required by partners during the development process, ensuring our infrastructure requirements are met while maintaining strong partnerships Drive seamless handoffs to operational state with heavy focus on engagement across networking and deployment teams, enabling rapid workload turn-ups and minimizing time-to-production Prepare and present regular executive reporting on progress versus plan for facility development, supporting forward capacity planning and strategic decision-making Identify and mitigate risks throughout the delivery lifecycle, proactively addressing blockers that could impact timeline, cost, or technical requirements Develop and refine standardized processes and playbooks for facility delivery, driving continuous improvement as Anthropic scales its infrastructure footprint You may be a good fit if you Have 10+ years of experience in the highest level of site leadership managing data center delivery, construction projects, or infrastructure deployment at scale. You won't have a big direct team to delegate too but will instead be able to treat the entire cross functional organizations at a jobsite as your team. Have a strong understanding of the end to end (dirt to delivery) data center development process to include entitlements and permitting, planning and supply chain, execution, commissioning, and handover. You are not an administrator but an active player in the arena comfortable making decisions and guiding delivery execution without the need to consult across multiple external parties. You should understand data center design and construction as a simple and repeatable process that allows you to build and optimize delivery without a playbook and with minimal processes and tools handed to you. If you can think about building a data center the way kids might build a tree fort or construct a lego set, we want to talk. In this role you will often be on an island and responsible for your own destiny. You will have free reign to develop your own approaches with the mission guidance being your only bounds. No one will be there to empower your efforts; you will create your own influence by building relationships at the site and diving in at all phases to deliver success. You must thrive operating with ambiguity and have a willingness to own project outcomes, knowing that the buck stops with you. In this role, it is imperative that you are as comfortable in boots on a job site working to solve productivity issues with a group of blue collar trades as you are working across executives at development and contractor partners to optimize contract and commercial structures that incentivize delivery speed. It's a bonus if you Understand AI/ML infrastructure requirements, including high-density power and advanced cooling systems Have had leadership positions (General Superintendent, Project Manager) within a GC or EPC on hyperscale data center projects or in self performance of hyperscale data center development projects. Prioritize extreme ownership and have the ability to create winning cultures across diverse job sites. Are deeply familiar with lease negotiations, construction contracts, or real estate development processes and have strategies to move those arrangements from traditionally transaction and risk managed arrangements to collaborative efforts that align incentives around accelerated delivery of facilities The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. About the role Anthropic's sales organization is growing quickly across segments, industries, and geographies, and how we sell has to mature as fast as the team does. We are looking for a Head of Sales Excellence & Methodology to own the substance of sales enablement at Anthropic: the sales methodology itself, the standard for what excellent selling looks like here, and the change management that makes it stick in the field. You will define a common way of selling that holds up across very different customers, from startups to the largest global enterprises, and then lead the organization through adopting it. That means earning sponsorship from senior sales leadership, equipping frontline managers to coach to the methodology instead of only inspecting for it, and building alongside sellers so the result reflects how deals are really won. This is a leadership role for someone who has taken a sales organization through real transformation and can show that it changed behavior and results. You will set direction, [build and lead a team], and stay close enough to the field to know when something is not working. Key responsibilities: Define, document, and evolve Anthropic's sales methodology and process standards, including discovery, qualification, deal strategy, and deal review, so that sellers in every segment and region share a common language Design and run the rollout and reinforcement of methodology changes across the sales organization, securing executive sponsorship and making clear what is expected of each level of sales leadership Equip frontline managers to coach to the methodology in pipeline reviews, deal reviews, and forecasting, so that it becomes part of the operating rhythm Sequence and deliver complex, multi-audience programs across geographies, segments, industries, and roles that scale globally while adapting where local or segment differences matter Develop content, frameworks, and standards together with sellers and sales leaders, testing them on live deals before scaling Define the leading and lagging indicators that show whether the methodology is changing seller behavior and outcomes, and act on what the data shows Partner with Sales Leadership, Revenue Operations, Product, Marketing, and the wider Sales Enablement team so the methodology is reflected in systems, messaging, and day-to-day workflows Apply Claude and internal tooling to personalize coaching and reinforcement, so that quality does not depend on headcount Minimum qualifications: Practitioner-level expertise in sales methodology and sales process design, including discovery, qualification, deal strategy, deal review, and forecasting Have led a methodology or sales process change across a sales organization, and can show how seller behavior and results changed as a result Have run enablement or sales excellence programs spanning multiple geographies, segments, industries, or roles Have worked directly with senior sales leaders and frontline managers to secure sponsorship for change, including holding a position constructively when they disagreed Have built programs with sellers and sales leaders, testing them on live deals, instead of handing down finished programs Have defined and tracked adoption and impact measures that go beyond completion and satisfaction scores Communicate clearly, in writing and in conversation, with executive audiences Preferred qualifications: Experience building and leading a team of senior enablement or sales excellence professionals A clear, experience-based view of where common sales methodologies break down in practice Prior experience carrying a quota or leading a sales team Experience at an AI company or an enterprise technology company during a period of rapid sales team scaling Hands-on experience using Claude or similar AI tools to automate or personalize coaching and reinforcement Experience selling, or enabling the sale of, complex technical products to both technical and business buyers The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
