Corporate Tax Solicitor (2 PQE) Looking to develop a specialist career in Corporate Tax ? This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with 2 years' PQE to join a respected Glasgow team advising on the tax aspects of corporate, commercial and property transactions. Working closely with corporate and commercial colleagues, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of transactional and advisory matters while building specialist expertise in a highly sought-after area of practice. What's on offer?…
Moonfare delivers what few others can: the highly sought-after funds and hidden-gem investments that go beyond what most private banks offer. Every opportunity is subjected to a ruthless vetting process; the bar is unforgivingly high. The result? Institutional-quality portfolios for investors who demand more. Our team combines finance veterans with talent from tech, consulting, law and industries you'd never expect. Headquartered in Berlin, we operate from eight offices across Europe, the US and Asia. If you're ready to build what's next in private markets, let's talk. (Senior) Brand Designer Moonfare is at an inflection point. We are 10 years in the making, with almost €4 billion in AUM and a new CMO recently in place, and the brand now carries more weight than it ever has. We are looking for a designer to make every surface we put in front of an investor look as though it was made on purpose. The person you are designing for is a partner at Freshfields, a Goldman MD, the principal of a small family office. They read curated material every day and they notice slippage immediately. Our reference points are Loro Piana, Aman, Cartier and Hauser & Wirth — houses that wear their authority quietly and let the object carry the brand. We are a gallery rather than a supermarket, and the craft has to hold at that standard across a fund brochure, a thirty-two word invitation, a billboard at WEF and a single slide in a sales deck. The Brand Designer joins Moonfare's Marketing team — a high-output team responsible for building the brand, setting standards of excellence, generating demand, and driving investor acquisition across global markets. You will work daily with Fund Marketing, Investor Relations and Compliance, and you will own the craft rather than coordinate it. This role reports to the CMO. AI tooling is business as usual in this team — Claude and Figma in the daily stack. The gain we want is not speed for its own sake. It is your hours moving from the mechanical end of production to the thinking. You Will: Own the craft on every investor-facing surface — fund brochures, the annual letter, invitations, event environments, sales decks, web pages, paid assets — and hold the line on quality when the deadline argues otherwise. Tighten and maintain the design system: type, grid, colour, photography, motion and templates that let non-designers produce work which still looks like us. Design the fund marketing design system alongside Fund Marketing, so that each launch is assembled rather than reinvented, and the material reads like an LP memo rather than a brochure. Take long-form and content design seriously — due diligence summaries, research, the annual letter — where the job is clarity and restraint rather than decoration. Design for physical objects and rooms as fluently as for screens: printed matter, direct mail, gifts, signage and event environments, GTM launches and private dinners. Work inside compliance rather than around it, treating risk warnings and disclosures as a design problem to be solved properly. Bring an AI-first mindset to the production stack — concepting, variation, retouching, resizing and versioning — so that more of your time goes to the thinking and less to the mechanical. Art-direct external partners including photographers, illustrators, agencies and printers, and brief them well enough that the output needs little rescuing. The Next Moonfarian: You bring six or more years of design experience, with a portfolio that shows editorial and brand craft rather than campaign volume. You have designed for a luxury house, a gallery or museum, a serious publication or a premium consumer brand — or you can show that you understand that register and want to work in it. You bring an AI-native mindset — you use AI tools in your day-to-day and you have views on where they sharpen the work and where they flatten it. You are equally fluent in print and digital, and you have shipped physical work: something printed, bound, packaged or installed. You bring hands-on command of Figma and the Adobe suite You give feedback as well as take it, and you can explain a design decision to a non-designer without defensiveness or jargon. You can work at pace inside a regulated industry and you see compliance as a design constraint rather than a blocker. This role is unlikely to be a good match if you: Need a fully written brief before you can start. A good deal of this work begins as a conversation and a deadline. Prefer to direct rather than make. This is a hands-on role and the person in it designs every day. Are happiest producing high volumes of performance creative. Our channel mix is deliberately narrow, and quality of execution matters more here than volume of message. Find restraint frustrating rather than freeing. Our brand is built on hairline rules, whitespace and type weight rather than colour and ornament. Prefer to work at arm's length from the business. You will sit with Fund Marketing, Investor Relations and Compliance constantly. Invest in Yourself: Ownership and Impact: You are empowered to bring ideas, make decisions, and see your work directly contribute to Moonfare's success. Transparent Environment: We believe in open communication. You will receive regular updates on company strategy, performance against our KPIs, and key business decisions. Personal Growth: We support your development with an individual growth budget of £1,500 or 2% of your base salary (whichever is higher). Invest in Your Future: We support your long-term financial goals with a workplace pension via SmartPension, where Moonfare contributes 3% and combined employer and employee contributions reach at least 8%. Relax and Recharge: You start with 25 vacation days and you'll receive one additional day for each year of tenure, up to a maximum of 30 days. Moonfare gifts two days during our annual end of year company shutdown. Daily Lunch: Enjoy a £12 daily lunch allowance via Deliveroo on the days you're in the London office, delivered or ready to pick up nearby. Fitness and Wellbeing: Stay active with a subsidised FitnessFirst membership, with £30 covered by Moonfare each month and no joining fee, plus a monthly guest pass and company wellness events. Health Cover: Look after your health with private medical and dental cover through Bupa, including Select Complete Healthcare across 600 partner facilities and Dental Plan Level 2, with dependants covered up to age 24. Cycle to Work: Ride in tax-efficiently through our salary-sacrifice scheme via Forest, available for an eBike or eMoped. A Culture of Excellence: Join a team of ambitious, smart, and committed professionals who are passionate about revolutionising private market investing. Performance Reward: As a performance-first company, we reward strong performance twice a year, so your impact translates directly into how your pay grows — through potential base salary increases and/or bonuses. Our Values: Our clients come first, Moonfare comes second, and we prioritise ourselves third — Client-Centric Focus. Putting clients first means creating value for them is essential. Placing Moonfare second signifies that our individual professional future at Moonfare depends on the company's commercial success. Prioritising ourselves third reflects our humility in putting clients and Moonfare before personal interests. We pursue excellence and honor our promises — Commitment to Excellence. We hold ourselves to the highest standards, taking responsibility for our failures, and celebrating our successes. We commit to deadlines and stick to them and we learn from our mistakes. We are here to win and to celebrate our collective achievements — Win together. We are mission-focused and think and act like owners. We exemplify the attitude we expect and each of us commits to do what it takes to succeed. We foster personal growth but each of us earns our place as a Moonfarian through merit — Growth and Merit. We hire, retain, and develop exceptional people and invest in empowering them to excel. We must all earn our place at the table every day. About Notabene Notabene is building infrastructure that's transforming how money moves in the digital economy. We're evolving beyond our compliance foundations to enable the next generation of digital financial services between regulated institutions with unprecedented efficiency. With nearly 50 employees across 14 countries and having recently closed our Series B round last November with support from leading investors including Y Combinator, DRW, F-Prime, Jump Capital, Castle Island, and Green Visor Capital, we're looking for people like you to help shape the future rails of the crypto industry. Location: US-based, Remote East Coast The impact you will have Notabene is planning on going through its first external financial statement audit, covering the fiscal years ending January 2026 and January 2027. You will own that process. You will also own the close, the books, and the accounting policy for a two-entity, multi-currency business whose revenue includes subscription fees, usage-based transaction billing, and a payments network take rate that has no clean accounting precedent anywhere. The accounting function is already substantially built. Close runs, the books are in order, and readiness work for the audit is well underway. What we need is someone to own it, finish it, and take it through the audit, while raising the standard on policy and documentation as the business gets more complex. You will be the most senior accounting voice in the company, reporting to the VP of Finance, with one direct report and a set of external providers. You will not have a large team before late 2027, and that is deliberate. Capacity here comes from better systems and better automation, and you will be the one deciding what those look like. Within a year you are successful if Notabene has a clean audit opinion on both fiscal years, with no material weaknesses and no second cycle on auditor requests The close hits its calendar consistently, starting with the revenue close landing on time Revenue recognition is documented in a written memo that stands up in fieldwork, rather than living only in the billing system configuration Multi-entity consolidation and FX translation run cleanly enough to survive audit scrutiny, with intercompany and CTA tied and supported Payroll allocation across departments and software development capitalization are written policy applied consistently, not judgment applied after the fact Key accounting controls are documented, operating, and evidenced At least two accounting processes that are manual today run without a person in the loop, and still hold up under audit What you will be doing Audit. Run the readiness assessment, build the remediation plan, contribute the technical view on which firm we engage, and then own the auditor relationship day to day. Close and reporting. Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close across Notabene Inc. and Notabene GmbH. Produce GAAP financial statements, consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and FX translation under ASC 830. Technical accounting. Write the positions and the memos. ASC 606 across three revenue models, ASC 350-40 for internal-use software capitalization, ASC 718 for stock compensation expense, and whatever emerges as stablecoin payment revenue matures. Revenue and billing systems. Own Tabs as the billing and revenue system of record, including contract configuration, usage data integrity, and the bridge from Tabs to the general ledger. Cost accounting. Build the payroll allocation method for people whose work splits across functions, and the capitalization policy for development work, so departmental margin reflects where effort actually goes. Controls. Design and implement controls over revenue, cash, procure to pay, and payroll. Not SOX. Controls that operate, are evidenced, and can be walked by an auditor. Automation. Evaluate the accounting stack and the processes running on it with a bias toward automation, including agentic tooling where work is rule-bound and high volume. Categorization, reconciliation matching, usage validation, and collections follow-up are the obvious places to start. Accounting operations. Own AR and collections with your direct report, plus AP and payroll accounting. Employee onboarding and HRIS administration sit with People, not with you. Tax. Own US tax compliance in coordination with our external advisers, including the income tax provision and sales tax. Coordinate Swiss compliance with our local accountants. External providers. We produce revenue in-house, our Swiss accountants produce their piece, and our outsourced firm assembles the close. You will own the checklist, the policies, and the reconciliations, so providers execute against a Notabene-owned close rather than holding it themselves. What you bring Experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accounting Manager at a venture-backed company, with a track record of raising the standard on process rather than just running what exists You have taken a company through a first external audit and can describe specifically what broke and what you did about it Month-end close ownership across two or more legal entities in different currencies Deep, hands-on ASC 606, applied to at least one revenue model without clean precedent, and defended to an auditor You operate in the detail. You build the calendar, do the reconciliations, and touch the ledger Experience developing a small team or a single direct report Nice to have Active CPA license Usage-based or consumption billing experience, particularly Tabs, Metronome, Maxio, or similar Public accounting background, especially audit Software development capitalization under ASC 350-40, including the time capture that makes it auditable Experience replacing manual accounting work with automation, and a clear view on what should stay manual Swiss entity experience, including CHF functional currency and Swiss statutory or VAT exposure Digital assets, payments, or regulated financial services exposure Benefits Flexible Remote Work: Work from anywhere! $1000 WFH Stipend: Use within your first year of employment. MacBook Pro: Procured by you and your manager to find a model that meets your needs. Unlimited PTO: We trust you to take as much holiday as you need. Country-Specific Benefits: Statutory offerings and contributions, managed via our employer-of-record. Apply Today! If you strongly believe this role is for you, please apply. Notabene considers a broad array of candidates, including those without blockchain experience. Whether you're returning to work after a gap in employment, or taking the next step in your career path, we will be glad to have you on our radar. Notabene is proud to be an equal employment workplace and an affirmative action employer. By valuing inclusion and diversity of all forms, we strictly prohibit and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, ancestry, citizenship, sexual orientation.
