Software Engineer (US Candidates only)
Full TimeOn-siteMid$130,000 - $155,000 / Year
pythontypescriptangulardjangoawsecs+14

About Ottimate Ottimate is an AI-powered AP [Accounts Payable] automation platform that empowers finance teams to reduce costs, prevent overpayments, detect fraud, and enforce policy compliance across the entire invoice-to-payment lifecycle. About The Role We're looking for a capable, growth-minded software engineer to join our team as its third engineer. This is an ideal opportunity for an early-to-mid-career engineer who wants meaningful ownership, close collaboration with experienced teammates, and the opportunity to grow quickly. Our team solves real customer problems across a mature financial platform. The work ranges from building product features to investigating production incidents, improving database performance, strengthening security boundaries, and maintaining reliable accounting and payment workflows. We use AI-assisted development tools extensively, but we do not treat generated code as automatically correct. A successful engineer in this role will know how to use tools such as Claude Code or Codex to navigate unfamiliar systems and accelerate development while remaining responsible for correctness, security, testing, and operational safety. You do not need experience with every technology or with fintech. We care more about strong fundamentals, curiosity, sound judgment, and the ability to learn quickly. Responsibilities Build, test, and maintain backend product features, primarily using Python, Django, and relational databases Use AI coding tools to investigate problems, implement changes, write tests, and improve documentation Critically review AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability Turn customer feedback into reproducible technical problems, fix the root cause, check whether customer data was affected, and update it Translate ambiguous customer feedback into reproducible technical problems and practical product improvements Own work from initial investigation through implementation, testing, QA, deployment verification, and follow-up Build and maintain APIs, asynchronous jobs, integrations, internal tools, and data-processing workflows Write clear, maintainable code with appropriate automated test coverage Participate in code reviews and technical discussions with the rest of the engineering team Improve system reliability, observability, documentation, and development processes Protect financial correctness, tenant isolation, data integrity, auditability, and customer privacy Gradually take ownership of larger features and technical decisions as you grow in the role Requirements Professional software engineering experience at an early-to-mid-career level Strong working knowledge of Python Experience designing, querying, and debugging applications backed by relational databases Familiarity with APIs, automated testing, Git, and collaborative software-development practices Experience using AI-assisted coding tools in real development work The ability to evaluate and validate generated code rather than accepting it automatically Strong debugging skills, including in an unfamiliar codebase, and the habit of asking what a bug did to customer data, then helping correct it An understanding of common application concerns such as authorization, concurrency, retries, idempotency, and failure handling Clear written and verbal communication A careful approach to systems that handle sensitive business and financial data Comfort working on a small team with broad ownership and changing priorities Curiosity, humility, and a willingness to ask questions, receive feedback, and learn new systems Nice to have Experience with Django or another Python web framework Experience with PostgreSQL, query analysis, and database-performance optimization Familiarity with Celery or another asynchronous job-processing system Experience with AWS, ECS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines Experience with observability tools such as ClickStack, Sentry, or OpenTelemetry Experience with TypeScript, Angular, or another modern frontend framework Experience building or maintaining fintech, accounting, accounts-payable, payments, or ERP-integration software Experience working directly with customers, support teams, or other non-engineering stakeholders Familiarity with access controls, audit trails, data remediation, and safe bulk-data operations Experience supporting production systems or participating in incident investigation What Makes Someone Successful In This Role You'll thrive here if you are pragmatic, dependable, and comfortable working through ambiguity. You should enjoy understanding how systems behave in the real world—not just writing code from a ticket The strongest candidate will use AI to move faster while retaining ownership of the result. They will verify assumptions, test important behavior, consider failure cases, and communicate clearly when something remains uncertain We are not looking for someone who already knows every technology or financial concept we use. We're looking for a generally capable engineer with good instincts, customer empathy, and a strong learning mindset This role offers close collaboration and mentorship from experienced engineers, along with the opportunity to make a visible impact on a growing product and engineering team Benefits We care deeply about making Ottimate an incredible place to work and invest a significant amount of time and energy into creating and maintaining a company culture that provides our team with a generous level of support whilst inspiring them to do their best work. The specific benefits/perks we offer are continually evolving, but currently include: Salary Range: USD $130,000-155,000 (depending on level) per year + annual bonus Medical, Dental, Vision, and other Company-Subsidized Benefits for you and your family Employer-sponsored 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off (and the encouragement to use it) Promote from within philosophy Beyond the tangible benefits, though: You will be part of a growing team, at a pinnacle moment of scale for the business, and experience the excitement of working in a startup where each action makes a huge difference You will have the agency to solve difficult problems creatively, the freedom to explore work that inspires you, and infrastructure to ensure you're constantly challenged and developing You will work with sharp, passionate teammates solving some of the most unique challenges and positioning our product as a premier finance automation solution. Our commitment to empowering a diverse and inclusive workforce, celebrating differences, and creating a safe space for our employees to bring their whole selves to work is second to note We are transforming entire industries using innovative technology, including Artificial Intelligence, Payment Tech, and Neural Networks Our leaders lead with a people-first approach; inspiring excellence, nurturing ideas, and finding creative ways to eliminate obstacles for cultivating growth We truly love what we do and who we do it with - and we think you will too! Senior Software Engineer — TypeScript & Node · Distributed Messaging (Kafka / RabbitMQ) · AI Coding Agents
Full TimeOn-siteMid
pythonjavascripttypescriptjavareactnext.js+55

"Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads." Doc Brown, Back to the Future Senior Software Engineer - TypeScript & Node, Distributed Messaging (Kafka / RabbitMQ) and AI Coding Agents. Remote, USA (Pacific overlap preferred). Up to $230k + equity. Full-time. US citizens and Green Card holders only - no sponsorship or visa transfers of any kind. READ THIS BIT FIRST Three things decide whether this role is for you. Everything below is detail. Deep TypeScript and Node. Expert level, not exposure. Modern service frameworks, a monorepo setup, React on the front end, cloud-native infrastructure. If TypeScript has been incidental to a Java or Python career, this is not your role. Real distributed messaging Kafka, RabbitMQ or equivalent. This is the single most common reason strong resumes get rejected here. Event-driven systems, queueing and streaming, ordering, idempotency, retries, and what happens when a consumer falls over at volume. Calling REST APIs is not this. Shipping production code with AI coding agents. Hands-on, in a real codebase, right now. You should have opinions about what you delegate to an agent, what you never would, and how you review what comes back. Theory and weekend experiments will not clear the bar. Miss one of the three and the conversation stops there. Have all three and you are already most of the way into a process with a company paying well above market for engineers who do this properly. THE COMPANY A venture-backed B2B software company of roughly 100 people, rebuilding the data layer that moves orders, invoices and shipment data between the companies that actually make and ship things. It is a category that has run on decades-old tooling, manual configuration and months-long onboarding since roughly the fax era. This team turned it into a self-service platform with AI built into the core of the product, and hundreds of enterprise customers now push serious production volume through it daily. Boring-sounding industry. Enormous, sticky market. Genuinely interesting engineering. WHY THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT Most companies will tell you they are AI-forward. Usually that means someone expensed a licence and the team is encouraged to experiment. Here, coding agents are standard equipment - simply how the work gets done. Which means the senior engineering job has quietly turned into something more interesting than it was three years ago. You are not the fastest typist on the team. You are the person who decides what is worth building, designs the system it lives in, directs the agents doing the construction, and reviews their output with exactly the scepticism you would bring to a teammate's pull request. And here is what gets missed in every breathless post about AI replacing engineers: this makes deep fundamentals more valuable, not less. You cannot safely approve what an agent produces if you do not genuinely understand the system underneath it. An agent will happily hand you something that compiles, passes tests, and quietly falls apart the first time real volume hits it at 3am. Catching that is the job. WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY BE DOING Designing the hard parts. You lead the technical design of major initiatives and product features. You write the design docs. You make the call on architecture and you argue it in business terms, not just technical ones. Directing and reviewing AI agents. Decomposing work so agents can execute it well, steering that execution, and reviewing it rigorously. You set the standard for what an agent is and is not allowed to ship. Living in distributed systems. The platform is event-driven, moving high volumes of transactional data between parties who all have opinions about format and timing. Owning reliability. Enterprise customers' supply chains depend on what you build. You own how it behaves under load and when things break. Raising the bar. Mentoring other engineers and lifting their design skills. Partnering with product. Pushing back when the engineering cost does not justify the outcome, and proposing the better route to the same result. WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT Not a management role. No reports, no headcount, no review cycles. If you went into management and came back to IC because building is what you love, that reads as excellent judgement here. Not execution inside someone else's architecture. If the last few years were delivering well-specified work within a design someone more senior set, this will not land at this level. Not a prompt-engineering gig. Using agents is the baseline, not the achievement. Not a process role. Nobody is being hired to run ceremonies, own a board, or evangelise a methodology. Not backend-only, frontend-only or infra-only. This is product engineering. Not hybrid, and not sponsored. Genuinely remote, US-based, Pacific overlap preferred. No visa sponsorship and no visa transfers. THE REST OF THE SCREEN 5-15 years in product engineering, shipping things customers use. A growth-stage background - Series C or later, or Series A/B with genuine enterprise traction. End-to-end ownership of a major system or product area. Product-minded, strong communicator who can argue a trade-off with people who do not write code. B2B SaaS experience is a bonus. THE DETAILS Up to $230k + equity. Full-time and permanent. Remote-first by design, with unlimited PTO and a work-from-home benefit. Four-stage interview process. Several engineers are being hired on this requisition, so you are not competing for a single seat. This is a confidential search handled by Big Wave Digital. Apply here and we will walk you through the company, the product, the team and the process. Where we're going, we don't need roads. We do need someone who can read what the machines write. Marketing Lead

Full TimeOn-siteLead
gosqlllminsurancehubspotsales+1

bunch is building the backbone of private markets. We are enabling next-gen fund operations with one integrated system that combines secure data infrastructure, AI-powered workflows and expert fund services. If you value ownership, growth through real responsibility, and working with a thoughtful, ambitious team, this role might be for you. Your Role As Marketing Lead, you turn marketing into a reliable source of qualified pipeline across the UK, Luxembourg and Germany. You report to the Co-Founder and own the marketing plan, budget and team. Our buyers are GPs, CFOs, COOs and fund operations teams at VC and PE managers. Trust in this market comes from expertise, references and the institutions they already rely on, and almost nobody speaks to the CFO and operations team directly. We will. The founders set the company narrative; you build the engine that carries it to market. Top priorities Own marketing's pipeline contribution Set marketing's pipeline target by market with the CEO and own the result: qualified pipeline in euros across the UK, Luxembourg and Germany. Define and run the marketing plan and budget for each market, and decide which programmes to scale and which to stop. Grow our presence beyond our current client base and build our position with larger fund managers. Build the engine across three vectors Content and credibility: a weekly publishing cadence built on what our fund specialists, founders and clients know (operational deep dives, migration and capital-call guides, case studies with named clients), co-publications and webinars with the institutions and voices our buyers trust, and the data and insights lane: bunch as the source the market and journalists call about European private markets operations. You orchestrate; you run the writer. Field: an events programme you produce in-house for fund CFOs and COOs, who rarely attend the investor events, built as a ladder: a 10-person series per market, seller-owned events, partner events with law firms, auditors and banks, and from there larger flagship formats, eventually a bunch conference. Growth and online: with our Growth Marketing Manager and our sales ops and data team, the digital channels, pooled audiences and the HubSpot attribution and MQL→SQL layer that turn attention into qualified pipeline. Own positioning and product marketing, with Product Positioning and messaging by tier, release go-to-market, and sales enablement (one-pagers, battlecards, demo narratives). Product owns the roadmap and release notes; you own how the market hears about them. Become an expert in our product: sit with client onboarding and the fund specialists until you can demo and explain the platform yourself. Work hand in hand with sales Run the marketing surround on named target accounts in HubSpot and hand engagement signals on to the sales team, so their next touch lands warm. Sellers own their accounts; marketing never emails a prospect one-to-one. Bring market insight back to the commercial team: what our buyers read, discuss and care about, in a weekly market brief you own. Build the function Set up the marketing scoreboard (attribution, shared definitions of MQL, SQL and sourced vs influenced pipeline, reporting) with our sales ops and data team. Lead and grow the team: a Growth Marketing Manager today, a writer on retainer, an events coordinator as the series scales; manage agencies and freelancers. About you 5+ years in total, including 2+ in growth or marketing at a B2B scale-up selling to expert or regulated buyers (fintech, financial services, legal, insurance). You have built a marketing function or content programme from near zero: hired for it, set its budget, chose its agencies, and it kept running when you stepped back. Consulting or GTM-practice years count; private markets experience puts you at the top of our list. You have built or run attribution and steer on pipeline in euros, not MQL counts, with a number you moved to show for it. Hands-on in HubSpot, and you build your own workflows and agents (automations, LLM pipelines for content and signals), not just prompts. Player-coach. You ship before you delegate, turn subject-matter experts into a publishing engine, and learn a market by sitting in its sales calls and reading what its buyers read. Fewer things, done brilliantly. You cut what you can't measure, automate prep but never relationship touches, and know that sellers own their accounts. Full professional English; German is a plus. Comfortable spending regular time in the UK, Luxembourg and Germany. About bunch bunch is building the operating infrastructure for the next generation of private markets. We combine AI-powered automation with deep regulatory expertise to replace fragmented spreadsheets and manual processes with one integrated platform across the fund lifecycle, purpose-built for private markets heading toward $32 trillion in Assets Under Management. We've 4x our ARR in 2025, crossed 150 fund managers and 12,000 LPs on the platform, and just closed our $35M Series B in May 2026. We're looking for ambitious people who want real ownership of hard problems, and who care about building infrastructure that actually matters to the people using it. At bunch, we're committed to an inclusive environment where diversity is valued and celebrated. We provide equal opportunities to all qualified applicants. Lab Automation Internship
AdaptyvLausanne, Germany5 days ago
Full TimeOn-siteMid
pythongitcadmachiningteachingbiology

Adaptyv is building an automated lab that lets AI agents run biology experiments. We're entering the era of agentic science where AI models can now design novel proteins, propose hypotheses, and iterate on experimental results. But they can't run the experiments themselves - that's still a manual, months-long process. We're building the infrastructure that gives AI agents access to the physical world. We are one of the fastest growing biotech companies, trusted by leading biopharmas, frontier AI labs, and the techbio companies pushing the field forward. This is a rare chance to help advance some of the most important work happening in biotech today. Our automated lab is powered by a deep software + hardware stack: lab instruments worth millions of USD reverse-engineered into API-controllable hardware, dozens of devices orchestrated through complex workflows, full observability on everything that happens in the lab, processing pipelines for messy physical-world data, and AI systems that troubleshoot production results and accelerate assay development. We're growing rapidly and are hiring for talented people to scale and support the massive demand for AI-driven wet lab experimentation. About the Role We're scaling our automated lab fast, and the automation team builds and maintains the work cells that make high-throughput biology possible — Hamilton liquid handlers, robot arms, plate readers, BLI/SPR instruments, all orchestrated by LabOS. We're looking for a Lab Automation Intern to work hands-on with that team in Lausanne: building and running automated protocols, helping bring new instruments online, and keeping production automation healthy. This is a practical, on-site role for someone who likes working where software meets hardware meets wet lab. You'll spend your time at the bench and the keyboard — programming liquid handlers, watching robots run, scripting small integrations, and figuring out why something broke. What You'll Do Help build and run automated liquid-handling protocols on our robots (Hamilton STAR and others), controlled in Python with open-source tooling like PyLabRobot / PyHamilton — with guidance from the automation team Support work-cell operation and maintenance: loading runs, swapping consumables, calibrating instruments, and troubleshooting when something jams or misreadsx Write real software in Python — instrument drivers, integrations, and tooling that controls hardware and moves data through LabOS, building on open-source libraries like PyLabRobot / PyHamilton Help reverse-engineer how an instrument talks — capturing its traffic (e.g. with Wireshark or a USB/serial sniffer) so we can control it in code Run tests on new protocols and instruments, record results carefully, and flag anomalies Document protocols, work-cell layouts, and fixes so the next person can reproduce them Pitch in on the physical side — wiring up a new device, organizing the work cell, prepping plates and reagents for automated runs What We're Looking For Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's in engineering, robotics, mechatronics, computer science, bioengineering, or a related field A generalist maker — you like building things, taking them apart, and figuring out why they don't work, across software, electronics, and mechanics Self-starter — you spot what needs doing and get on with it, rather than waiting to be told Solid software skills. This is a software-heavy role, not a lab-assistant gig. You write real Python — you can build a driver, structure code others can read, work with APIs and Git, and debug your way through someone else's library AI-native. It's 2026 — you build with coding agents. You use Claude Code (or similar) to write, debug, and ship software faster than you could by hand, and you're hungry to push how far that goes Organized and reliable — you keep good notes and don't let things slip through the cracks A background in biology isn't required, but you should find it genuinely cool that we're teaching robots to run biology experiments Bonus: any maker / hacker experience — 3D printing and CAD, electronics and soldering, microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32), machining, robotics, or lab automation. Using or contributing to open-source projects (PyLabRobot, PyHamilton, Opentrons, or anything else) is a big plus. Details Location: Lausanne, Switzerland (on-site) Commitment: Full-time internship, minimum 3 months (longer preferred) Start date: ASAP Application deadline We are reviewing applicants on a rolling basis.
