About Wolt At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we're building the delivery of (almost) everything and you'll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe. Working at Wolt isn't always easy, but it's definitely exciting. Here you'll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You'll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you're a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life. Wolt is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Front-end-leaning) to join our Operations Foundations team. The team sits within the DoorDash Client and AI Development group and is responsible for the foundation that hundreds of engineers across Wolt, DoorDash, and Deliveroo rely on to build internal operations tools. Our platform hosts 250+ micro-frontends (MFEs) used to operate every part of the business. Our team is focused on building a scalable, reliable, and high-quality internal tooling platform that supports Wolt, DoorDash, and Deliveroo's operations and business. The team plays an important role in improving how engineers build, test, and ship software across the organization, with a strong emphasis on reusable libraries, micro-frontend architecture, and agentic development: building the platform where AI agents can take changes from task to merged PR safely and reliably without lowering the quality bar. Currently, we are focused on unifying our frontend platforms, evolving shared components and library development, improving developer productivity, and enabling teams to deliver more independently through better architecture and tooling. It's an exciting time to join because the team has strong ownership and a broad technical impact. We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can take ownership of complex technical initiatives across both frontend and sometimes backend and infra domains. In this role, you'll work primarily with TypeScript, React, Node.js, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Buildkite), and MFE architecture to build scalable, maintainable solutions that support multiple product teams and business areas. Success in this role means becoming a trusted technical owner who consistently delivers reliable solutions and helps the team execute more effectively. Six months into the role, we'd expect you to be independently leading technical initiatives and contributing meaningfully to architecture and delivery planning. This role offers the opportunity to solve challenging engineering problems with visible impact across the business. It's especially exciting for someone who enjoys combining product engineering with platform thinking, improving developer workflows, and building systems that scale across teams and domains. What you'll be doing Owning the Foundation: the runtime, build, deployment, and developer experience that 250+ MFEs and hundreds of engineers depend on every day. Evolving Our Micro-Frontend Architecture : improve composition, isolation, and shared dependency strategies so feature teams can move fast. Product and Planning: Independently drive projects from idea to production: breaking down ambiguous problems into clear technical plans, estimating delivery, identifying risks early, and delivering high-quality solutions in a timely manner. Supporting Engineering Excellence : Champion best practices, raise the bar for code quality, and turn lessons learned into platform improvements. Long-Term Thinking: Balance short-term feature unblockers with the long-term health, security, and maintainability of the platform. Agentic Development: Build the foundations that let AI agents work autonomously on our platform, including agent instructions, reusable skills, tool integrations, guardrails, and the automated checks that make agent-authored changes safe to ship. AI Fluency: Work agent-first in your own day-to-day: delegate implementation to agents, and focus your judgment on direction, architecture, and verifying outcomes. 📍This role can be based in our Berlin tech hub. Read more about our hybrid setup here . Feel free to check out the Wolt Tech Blog for more insight into our culture and technology. Our humble expectations Proven expertise in building production frontend applications using TypeScript and React. Solid backend knowledge, comfortable owning and operating Node.js services that support frontend infrastructure. Strong knowledge of frontend build tools, bundlers, and module systems, and the ability to evolve them as the platform grows. Track record of diagnosing and resolving complex performance, reliability, or DX issues in large frontend codebases. Experience driving technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams and stakeholders. Strong stakeholder management skills: aligning priorities, managing expectations, and communicating trade-offs clearly with partner teams and leadership. Strong communication skills and a collaborative, platform-mindset approach to working with feature teams. Strong documentation skills, including experience writing RFCs or ADRs. Nice to Haves Experience with micro-frontend architecture. Frontend platform engineering experience. Experience building shared component libraries used by many product teams. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and cloud infrastructure for frontend workloads. Experience or interest in observability and reliability (SRE). Experience building tooling or workflows for autonomous AI coding agents (e.g., agent instructions, skills, MCP servers, or evaluating agent-generated code). What's in it for you Impact: Build and shape the platform that thousands of people depend on. Scale: Work on real platform problems behind 250+ MFEs with hundreds of monthly contributors. Collaboration: Partner with talented engineers, designers, and operators across companies to make their daily work faster and better. Growth: Take on deep technical challenges across frontend architecture, agentic development, DX, and improving engineering efficiency. Culture: Be part of a diverse, open-minded team that values creativity, autonomy, and continuous learning. Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion We're committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our company, industry, and cities. That's why we hire and cultivate diverse teams of people from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We believe that true innovation happens when everyone has room at the table and the tools, resources, and opportunity to excel. About CircuitHub CircuitHub is reshaping electronics manufacturing with The Grid, a factory-scale robotics platform that makes small-batch, high-mix electronics assembly radically more efficient. Think semiconductor-fab precision applied to the chaotic world of prototyping and low-volume production: a 10x throughput improvement in one of the world's most foundational industries. We've raised $45M from top-tier investors including Plural, Y Combinator and Google Ventures, and we're already profitable. Our customers include a major EV maker, a top AI lab and many of the worlds largest companies. The Grid isn't a prototype. It's live, scaling fast and delivering real revenue, and we're building the team that will scale it further. Overview CircuitHub is primarily built using a combination of Haskell, Nix, and PostgreSQL, deployed to both AWS and bare metal machines. We use a significant amount of open-source technology, and also try and give back where possible (for example, both Rel8 and Fast Downward Haskell bindings ). CircuitHub spans a vast problem space. Challenges include computer vision (OpenCV), machine learning (PyTorch), hard optimization problems (Z3/MiniZinc/OR-Tools), and all the normal engineering challenges of building both web-based customer-facing and internal tooling. We work on manufacturing execution systems, enterprise resource planning, and robotics. An old video from Haskell Exchange 2019 hints at what we are up to on the robotics side. We have progressed significantly since then! These roles are remote (any location), in-person, or hybrid, depending on preference. We have offices in South Deerfield - USA, Cambridge, and London, UK. Salary depends on the candidate and location, but as guidance in the UK, a likely range is £80k to £125k and in the US $125k to $250k, with additional equity. CircuitHub has raised $45M from top-tier VCs and has been going for about ten years. CircuitHub is profitable, with tens of millions in revenue. Small team (CircuitHub is ~50 employees) with tremendous growth opportunity and low risk. We are aiming to 10x capacity through 2027 in both our existing Massachusetts factory and expand into Europe. Team/Environment/Role Our R&D team is more than 20 people, with eight engineers working directly on the Haskell code base. We are looking to expand the team significantly this year. We have many exciting problems to solve, from robotic path planning to more conventional web products. We are happy to consider candidates without commercial Haskell experience, but your other skills and experience would need to compensate. A possible profile, for instance, would be a professional robotics background with some hobbyist FP experience. Conversely, for experienced Haskellers without experience in our domain, we will look for interests that correlate with what we are trying to accomplish. Life is too short to work on something you are not passionate about! Location Work remotely, or from one of our offices in the UK (London, Cambridge) or USA (Boston) Compensation: £80K – £125K • Offers Equity • Multiple Ranges UK • £80K – £125K • Offers Equity US • $125K – $250K • Offers Equity Find more English Speaking Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow

Design the core abstractions: how robots, cameras, tools and jobs are modelled, how work is planned and dispatched, how state is shared and how failures are handled. Decide what belongs in Python and what needs Rust. Bring in new vision. Integrate novel computer vision algorithms into the control loop, from finding and centring parts to checking every pick and placement, and make them fast and reliable enough for production. Build agentic robotics. Put large models to work in the robots themselves: programming a new part from its datasheet, judging a pick from a camera image, diagnosing a fault and recovering from it, with evals that prove it works before it runs alone. Move a fleet. Route dozens of movers at once without collisions or deadlocks, and coordinate gantries, printers and ovens around them. Bridge to real time. Design clean interfaces between high-level planning and the real-time controllers driving the motors. Make it observable. Simulation, tracing and replay, so every change is proven before it reaches the factory and every failure can be explained. What we look for You've worked on, and ideally architected, a large-scale robot code base that ran on real hardware in production. The Role CircuitHub makes electronics on demand. Engineers upload a circuit board design; we buy the parts, build the board in our own robotic factory and ship it. More and more of that business is now run by AI agents, and we want you to help build them. These aren't chatbots. Our agents have real jobs: They inspect boards. An agent checks camera images of every panel we build for wrong, rotated or missing parts. They program robots. Agents read datasheets so our pick-and-place machines know how to handle each new part. They watch the factory. They spot stray parts in robot storage, diagnose printer faults and clear stuck machines. They run the back office. They book supplier invoices, chase late orders, explain quotes and triage bugs. They write our code. Most of what our team ships starts in an agent session. What you'll do Find a process people still do by hand and automate it end to end: decide what needs judgement and what needs plain code, build the tools, and prove it works before it runs alone. Then make it cheaper, faster and right more often. You'll also improve the platform every agent runs on, and work closely with the people your work serves, from factory operators to finance. How we build Evals first. An agent earns the right to work alone: blind tests against people's verdicts, shadow runs beside the humans, replays of past decisions. We track accuracy and cost per run, and re-test whenever we change a model, a prompt or the effort level. Agents judge, code writes. Agents return structured answers. Plain code checks them against a second source and makes every change. Classical first, model second. Cheap vision and maths narrow the problem so the model only looks where it matters. Safe by construction. Agents work in sandboxed cloud machines that never hold real credentials, and tool calls are built so a business action can't run twice. Recent work Image alignment ranks the parts on each board photo. The worst 20% of parts hold about 90% of real defects, so the agent only inspects those. In a blind re-run it caught all 13 defects operators had marked. A photo check for stray parts in robot storage scored 10 out of 10 blind, at about 8¢ a photo. The model it replaced caught about half. Agent tool calls leave durable receipts, so a session killed mid-deploy resumes without sending the same email or order twice. Invoices extracted from supplier emails matched what a person had entered 66 times out of 66. A constraint solver replans the whole factory every two minutes, across robots, ovens and people. What we look for You've put LLM agents into production and can tell us what broke and how you knew it was working. You're a strong software engineer first. Most of this job is real engineering, not prompting: concurrency, idempotency, data modelling, security. You build the eval before you trust the result. You like the physical world: cameras, robots, parts rotated by 90°. Bonus: computer vision, optimisation or electronics. Stack Agents: Claude Code, Codex, Claude and OpenAI APIs, MCP, skills in plain Markdown Code: TypeScript (Bun, React), Python (FastAPI, Dagster, OpenCV, OR-Tools), PostgreSQL Infra: Nix and NixOS, Nomad, Terraform, Vault, AWS, Modal sandboxes, OpenTelemetry Pay UK £80k–£125k · US $125k–$250k, depending on experience, plus equity.
