About Electra Air travel is about to become something more: more direct, more accessible, and more connected to the places where people live, work and want to be. Every day in the U.S., people make 35 million trips of 50–500 miles, stuck in traffic or routed through crowded hubs. Chances are, you've been one of them. At Electra, we're changing that with the EL9, a nine-passenger, hybrid-electric aircraft that takes off and lands in just 150 feet. Our Ultra Short technology opens up thousands of new places to fly, beyond conventional runways, congested airports and long drives. We're backed by Lockheed Martin, Honeywell and Safran. Operators worldwide have signed intent-to-purchase agreements for the first 2,200 aircraft we produce, and we're moving toward first test flights in 2027. Getting a new kind of aircraft airborne takes more than ambition. It takes our kind of bold: people who think big while working in the real world. Who move ideas into action and collaborate without silos. Who put people first and make room at the table for everyone. Who challenge one another without diminishing one another. Sound like you? Then look beyond what you thought were your own limits, and help us take flight beyond runways. The Role As Electra's Senior Structural Assembly Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing and industrializing the structural assembly processes for the EL9 aircraft, working from early product development through prototype build, production implementation, and ramp-up. You'll work closely with Product Engineering during aircraft development to ensure structural designs incorporate Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles and can be efficiently, repeatably, and reliably produced. You'll bring a hands-on manufacturing perspective to structural design decisions, evaluating assembly sequence, tolerance management, access, tooling, fastening and joining methods, inspection requirements, producibility, and production risk. As the EL9 transitions from design into physical hardware, you'll help translate released engineering into executable manufacturing processes and support prototype and initial aircraft builds. You'll work closely with airframe manufacturing suppliers, providing on-site Manufacturing Engineering oversight and liaison support as needed to ensure proper information flow, resolve technical and quality issues, support the incorporation of product changes and support supply chain on contract management. This is an opportunity to influence both how the aircraft is designed and how it is ultimately built, while helping establish Electra's structural assembly manufacturing supply chain capability from the ground up. What You'll Do Partner with Product Engineering throughout aircraft development to ensure structural designs incorporate Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles and support efficient, repeatable, and scalable production. Review aircraft structural designs, assemblies, drawings, models, and engineering changes from a manufacturing perspective, providing recommendations related to producibility, assembly sequence, access, tolerance stack-up, fastening and joining methods, tooling, inspection, and production risk. Participate in design trade studies, concept reviews, and design reviews, representing Manufacturing Engineering and identifying manufacturing constraints and opportunities early in the development cycle. Provide Manufacturing Engineering oversight and liaison support at airframe and structural suppliers, working directly with supplier manufacturing teams to clarify design and manufacturing intent, resolve producibility and assembly issues, and maintain program execution. Work closely with the airframe supplier Tooling Engineering to define assembly tooling concepts, requirements, locating strategies, interfaces, and implementation plans. Review supplier manufacturing approaches, build plans, assembly processes, tooling concepts, and production readiness to ensure alignment with Electra's engineering requirements and program objectives. Support prototype fabrication, development aircraft assembly, first builds, and production implementation, providing hands-on Manufacturing Engineering support to resolve issues encountered during structural assembly. Coordinate technical resolution of manufacturing issues and nonconformances with Product Engineering, Stress, Quality, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders. Capture manufacturing lessons learned and supplier feedback from prototype and initial production builds and drive those learnings back into product design, manufacturing processes, tooling, and planning. Support structural assembly production ramp-up by identifying constraints, resolving manufacturing issues, improving assembly processes, and driving improvements in quality, cost, schedule, and production rate. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Electra manufacturing engineering standards, methods, processes, and best practices. SAEKI - Manufacturing at software speed Europe's defense industrial base cannot respond at the speed modern conflict requires. Legacy suppliers operate on month-long timelines. Tribal knowledge is retiring. Supply chains are fragile. SAEKI is building the operating system for autonomous factories - the infrastructure that lets Europe manufacture mission-critical components at software speed. The Role As a Junior Computational Geometry Engineer, you work on the geometry core of our Manufacturing Intelligence stack: the engine that takes an arbitrary customer CAD model, reasons about how to build it, and then proves that we built it right. You start on well-scoped parts of that engine, next to the engineers who built it, and grow into owning them. Your code runs in the factory. What We're Looking For Foundations . Degree in computer science, mathematics, mechanical engineering or a related field, with real depth in geometry, linear algebra and numerics. Internships, thesis work or serious side projects count. We do not expect years of production experience. B-rep Basics . You are comfortable with topology, NURBS, meshes and point clouds. You may never have shipped a robust boolean, and you still understand why floating-point robustness destroys naive implementations, and you want to learn how the field handles it. Kernel Exposure . You have worked with a geometry kernel and mesh libraries in at least one project: OpenCASCADE, CGAL, libigl, Open3D, PCL, Parasolid or comparable. Technical Ability . Solid modern C++ (17+) plus Python for tooling and rapid iteration. Rust is welcome. You write code others can read, test and maintain. Manufacturing Curiosity . You want to understand what happens once geometry meets a spindle, a nozzle or a fixture. CNC, additive or metrology exposure is a bonus, never a requirement. First Principles Thinker . You reason by physics and mathematics, not analogy. When an algorithm fails on a real part, you dig until you know whether the bug sits in the code, the model or the assumption. Learning Speed . You take direct feedback, apply it immediately, and close your own knowledge gaps without waiting to be taught. Industrial Grit . You want to stand next to the machine in Germany and watch your output run. The feedback loop between your code and cutting metal is the point. On - site . Ability to work in person at our HQ in Zurich, Switzerland. What we're not looking for Researchers who want to publish and hand off. You ship. CAD users. This is a role for people who build the tools, not drive them. Engineers who need a clean spec. The problem is defined by the part, the machine, and the customer - you'll help define it. People who treat "it works on the test model" as done. Real customer CAD is broken, degenerate, and adversarial. That is the job. Engineers who are uncomfortable with ambiguity or rapidly changing priorities. What we offer Mission : Rebuild the industrial sovereignty of the West. Your work directly enables production of mission-critical hardware for defense and space. Total Ownership : High-stakes autonomy in your domain. You own both the problems and the solutions - and have the authority to execute. The Environment : Access to a 8,000 m² state-of-the-art facility featuring 5-axis CNCs, industrial robots, and industrial 3D printers. Your algorithms run on real hardware from day one. The Team : "Special Forces" model. Everyone senior, everyone ships. No politics, no bureaucracy. Direct feedback, high standards. Compensation : Competitive salary + meaningful equity. Location : Zurich HQ, with occasional time at Factory ONE in Munich. Apply Resume : Focus on the geometry work you have actually done. Thesis, internships, projects, coursework. GitHub / Portfolio : Show us the hardest problem you have solved. Code, a write-up, or a part that came off a machine because of you. Cover letter : Why this mission? Why now? What would you build first? Find Jobs in Switzerland on Arbeitnow

🌍 About Outpost Global expansion is broken. Without a local entity, conversion rates fall, costs rise, and compliance gets messy. Outpost fixes it. Outpost is your modular back office for global commerce. Pick only what you need - tax, payments, treasury, or operations - and unlock new markets without the overhead. Sometimes we act as Merchant of Record, taking on tax and compliance risk. Other times, we give you the tools to do it yourself. Sell anything, anywhere. Without compromise. 🧠 The Role We're hiring a second Executive Assistant to support our CEO. We already have an EA, and she isn't going anywhere. You'll report to the CEO and work alongside her: she keeps inbound, customer routing and the investor-facing side, takes diary, travel, logistics, internal admin, and hiring coordination. You'll join to take a defined set of workstreams off that plate. Roughly 70% of this role is executive support. The other 30% is hiring - and that's where the leverage is. We run a five-stage interview loop across engineering, ops, product, GTM and tax, hiring around two people a month. Someone needs to own the machinery: scheduling across five calendars and four countries, keeping candidates warm, chasing feedback, making sure nobody good goes cold because a diary didn't line up. This is a role for someone early in their career who is unusually organised and wants to learn how a company actually gets built. You won't be handed a finished process. You'll be shown how we do things today, and expected to make it better. 🧩 What You'll Do Own the CEO's diary and logistics Run scheduling day to day - booking, moving, protecting focus time, resolving clashes before they become problems Book and manage international travel, and rebuild it when a flight moves Prepare meeting packs: who's in the room, what they want, what happened last time Track and chase the follow-ups nobody wrote down Do the work he never sees The highest-value work here is invisible. He shouldn't know it happened - he should just find the day went smoothly Fix problems before they reach him: the double-booking, the missing dial-in, the visa that needed renewing Do the quiet prep - background on a person he's meeting, what was agreed last time, the numbers checked before a deck goes out Anticipate. If a trip is booked, the transfer, the dinner and the buffer around the flight are already handled The fewer questions he has to ask you, the better you're doing the job Own hiring coordination Run scheduling across the full interview loop - five stages, multiple interviewers, several time zones Keep the pipeline clean: trackers, interview feedback, stage-by-stage conversion Build target lists for open roles and help manage outreach Be the candidate's point of contact - fast, warm, human. How we treat candidates is how we're judged Coordinate offers, references, contracts, start dates, and new-hire onboarding logistics Keep the company running Support board and investor prep alongside the CEO, Chief of Staff and our senior EA Help run internal comms: all-hands, offsites, company updates Manage supplier, tooling and expense admin so nobody else has to think about it Spot the recurring problem and fix it permanently rather than solving it again next week 💥 Example Projects Rebuild a full week of CEO travel in an afternoon after a fundraising meeting moves Take time-to-offer from three weeks to ten days by fixing scheduling and feedback bottlenecks Build the candidate tracker that shows conversion at every interview stage, and run it weekly Own the logistics for a board meeting: pre-reads, agenda, materials, follow-ups Organise a company offsite for a team split across London, Amsterdam and beyond Write down how you do your job so the next person can pick it up in a week 🧱 What We're Looking For Ideal background: 1–3 years in an EA, team assistant, recruiting coordinator or ops support role - ideally at a startup or fast-growing tech / fintech company Any recruiting coordination exposure is a plus, but we'll teach it if you're quick Comfortable in a company without much process, because you've worked in one before Fluent with modern tooling (Notion, Slack, Linear, ATS, scheduling tools and AI) and quick to pick up new ones Excellent written English. You'll write on the CEO's behalf Signals we care about: Ridiculous bias for action - you solve, not observe Extremely organised, and visibly so. Nothing gets dropped, nothing needs chasing twice Strong EQ - you know how to read a room, a candidate, or a blocker Sound judgement - you know what to decide yourself and what to escalate, and you sit on neither Discreet. You'll see comp, term sheets and candidate conversations before most of the team Curious and resourceful - you can figure anything out You improve what you touch. The second time you do something, it should be faster than the first What this role is not: Not a diary-only role - you'll own hiring, onboarding and internal operations too Not a pure recruiter role - hiring is a third of the job, not the whole of it Not a role for someone who needs defined processes and hierarchy to be effective Not a stepping stone you can coast through. The exposure is real, and so is the pace 🚀 Why This Role Is Different Most assistant roles are about keeping someone else's life tidy. This one is about making a company move faster. You'll own hiring coordination, which at our stage is one of the highest-leverage things we do — the people you help bring in will shape what Outpost becomes. And you'll get a front-row view of a Series A fintech being built, with two people above you invested in teaching you how it works. We expect whoever is in this role to grow rapidly, and we'll back you every step of the way. 🦾 Outpost Team Our team were leaders at Revolut, Airwallex, Adyen, Sumup and Wayflyer - and we're backed by top-tier investors who have built or backed some of the world's leading fintechs. 🧾 What We Offer Equity and salary in a well-funded startup Ability to own your work and move fast World-class training from operators who've scaled globally A global mission with real impact Low politics, high output Chance to grow into a senior role fast A culture of builders, not talkers 🌎 Reach Out Learn more Outpost Culture Outpost founder Find more English Speaking Jobs in United Kingdom on Arbeitnow
