Product Manager, Social Features
AirbnbUnited States (Fully Remote)7 days ago
Full TimeFully RemoteMid$200,000 - $200,000 / Year
godata scienceprototypingrecruitingresearch

Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way. The Community You Will Join: Our Product Marketing Managers start with the guest and work backwards, turning product thinking, data, and research into strategy. They own outcomes end to end, lead cross-functional teams across engineering, design, data science, and program management, and stay close enough to the details to know when something is off. The Social team is making Airbnb a place where you travel with, and because of, the people you know. Our strategy has three parts: scaling the social graph, building social features that make Airbnb fun and useful for you and your friends, and creating social experiences that help people form new relationships and strengthen existing ones in real life. Each part has its own dedicated pod of engineers, designers, and program partners. The Difference You Will Make As Product Marketing Manager for Social Features, you'll lead a new pod that turns guests' connections into reasons to come back to Airbnb. You'll own the features people use with their friends: the travel map and sharing it, group travel tools, recommendations from people you know, and how connections are woven across Airbnb to make the whole travel experience better. You'll own the outcome, not just the roadmap: you'll make the calls on scope and priority with a dedicated engineering lead, engineers, and design partner, and be accountable for the results. You'll take features from brief to launch, use experiment results to decide what to build next, and grow how often guests plan, book, and share trips with the people they know. You'll also write the product narrative that explains each release to leadership and to guests. A Typical Day Work backwards from the guest: write crisp briefs and requirements for new features, each grounded in a real guest need and a clear definition of success Prototype with AI first: build working prototypes yourself to explore ideas, test them with guests, and align the team in days rather than weeks Drive execution with engineering, design, data science, and program management, from concept through launch and iteration, often with several features in flight at once Go deep with the team on the details: review builds, test flows yourself, and chase down the edge cases that decide whether a feature delivers for guests Shape how connections are integrated across the guest journey, from search and booking to Trips, so planning and traveling with people you know feels natural Build shareable, delightful moments like the travel map that bring new people to Airbnb and grow the social graph Partner with the social graph and social experiences pods, and with Trips, Search, Checkout, and other partner teams, to ship work that spans surfaces Design for trust and privacy from the start, with clear controls over what people share and with whom Put mechanisms in place, like goals and a weekly metrics review, so the team knows where it stands and acts on it Partner with data scientists on experiments, dive deep into the results, and make clear calls on what to scale, iterate on, or stop Present strategy and results in leadership reviews, turning complex tradeoffs into clear decisions and concise narratives Your Expertise 8+ years in product marketing or product management, with a track record of moving a core consumer metric (engagement, retention, sharing, or conversion) through features you led to launch Experience building social or network-driven products: sharing, invites, feeds, profiles, group features, or connection-based recommendations Deeply AI-native in how you work: you use AI tools every day for prototyping, research, specs, and analysis, and you've changed how your team builds because of it Obsessed with the details: you go as deep as it takes with engineering and design, from data to edge cases, to make sure what ships drives great outcomes for guests Strong execution and a bias for action: you've led cross-functional teams through complex launches on time and at a high quality bar, and you move fast on decisions that are easy to reverse Fluent in experiment results: you can define what a test needs to learn, read growth metrics alongside guardrails like trust, privacy, and satisfaction, and turn them into product decisions Strong judgment of consumer product quality, a high bar for craft, and a clear sense of what makes an experience fun, useful, and worth sharing Comfort working in a new, fast-moving area where you set the roadmap and build the team's operating rhythm Ability to earn the trust of engineering, design, and data science partners and lead without formal authority Clear, structured writer and communicator who can distill complex tradeoffs for executives and translate strategy into actionable guidance for teams Experience at a consumer marketplace or travel company, or launching a new social product at scale (preferred) Your Location: We are open to candidates in multiple locations, but we ask that you are able to work Pacific Time Zone work hours as needed. RobinhoodMenlo Park, CA, New York, NY (Hybrid)7 days ago
Full TimeHybridSenior
godata sciencemental healthschedulingcainsurance+8

Join us in building the future of finance. Our mission is to democratize finance for all. An estimated $124 trillion of assets will be inherited by younger generations in the next two decades. The largest transfer of wealth in human history. If you're ready to be at the epicenter of this historic cultural and financial shift, keep reading. About the team +  role We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world's biggest financial problems. We're looking for bold thinkers, sharp problem-solvers, and builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn't a place for complacency – it's where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We're a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards. The Advisory Products team is redefining the advisor experience by bringing the best of Robinhood's technology, design, and infrastructure to Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and the clients they serve. Following our TradePMR acquisition, we're building a modern advisor platform – custody, tools, and a two-sided marketplace that connects Robinhood's investors with trusted, growth-oriented advisors. As the Product Manager for the Advisor Marketplace, you will own the product that helps investors find, meet, and fund accounts with the right advisor – and helps advisors win and onboard those clients efficiently. You'll own the full marketplace funnel, from demand generation and matching through first meeting, onboarding, and funded account, and you'll use data and experimentation to make every step work better for both sides. This is an opportunity to take a new, high-visibility business from early traction to scale, in close partnership with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Marketing, Operations, and Compliance. This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams. What you'll do Own the product strategy and roadmap for the Advisor Marketplace, balancing the needs of both sides – investors looking for advice and advisors looking to grow their practices. Own the end-to-end marketplace funnel – discovery, matching and routing, scheduling, first-meeting show rate, advisor onboarding, and funded accounts – and drive measurable improvements at each stage. Define and manage marketplace health: supply and demand balance, advisor quality and standards, lead allocation, and conversion, with clear metrics such as meetings booked and completed, accounts funded, assets under management, and net flows. Partner with Engineering, Design, and Data Science to ship products from concept to production, using research, experimentation, and analytics to guide prioritization and measure success. Work with Compliance, Legal, and Risk to embed regulatory and operational requirements directly into product design, advisor vetting, disclosures, and workflows. Integrate the marketplace with the broader RIA platform, including TradePMR and Robinhood's app, so that advisor and client data, accounts, and custody flows connect seamlessly. Drive go-to-market execution with Marketing, Sales, and Operations across launches, advisor acquisition and onboarding, support readiness, and cross-functional communication. Explore how AI can improve the client experience when working with an advisor. Stay ahead of trends in wealth management, advisor technology, and marketplaces to inform long-term strategy. What you bring 4+ years of product management experience, including building and launching marketplace, platform, or complex multi-sided products, ideally in fintech, brokerage, or wealth management. Demonstrated success owning a funnel or growth-oriented product end-to-end, with a track record of improving conversion and engagement through experimentation and analytics. Experience delivering products in a regulated or compliance-heavy environment, balancing innovation with operational and regulatory rigor. Strong analytical skills: you define success metrics, write your own queries or dashboards, and use data to drive prioritization and continuous improvement. Strong technical acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and operations teams on system design, integrations, and scalability. Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to align diverse stakeholders – including executives, advisors, and partner teams – around a shared roadmap. An ownership mindset and a scrappy, self-starter attitude: comfortable with ambiguity, able to define what "great" looks like as you go. Passion for empowering financial advisors and their clients, and for transforming the wealth management industry through modern technology. Bonus points Experience building two-sided marketplaces, lead-generation or referral products, or CRM and scheduling workflows. Experience shipping AI-enabled features in B2B or consumer products. What we offer Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career Performance-driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching Best-in-class benefits, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents Lifestyle wallet – a highly flexible benefits spending account for wellness, learning, and more Employer-paid life & disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits Time off to recharge, including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more Exceptional office experience with catered meals, events, and comfortable workspaces In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits. Who we are Melotech is revolutionizing media and entertainment. We create art through technology for humans to enjoy. In just 24 months, our work has been heard, watched and loved for over 4 billion minutes worldwide. Founded by entrepreneur and investor Soheil Mirpour, we are backed by top VCs Cherry Ventures, Speedinvest and GFC, alongside world-class angels from firms such as Spotify, Blackstone and KKR. What you will do Melotech is scaling fast. As Growth Manager, you own our paid growth end to end: the budget, the channels, the creative testing and the numbers behind them. You decide where the budget goes, and you work directly with our founders, product and data team. Your first job is to bring structure to our paid social account: decide what to consolidate and what to split, separate testing from scaling, and segment by geography, age and placement so every number means something. We will walk you through exactly what we are building as you go through the process. On a typical day, your tasks may include: Account structure: deciding what to consolidate and what to split, keeping testing and scaling apart, and segmenting ad sets by geography, age and placement Campaign operations: running the campaigns day to day on Meta, TikTok and Snapchat, including budgets, pacing and the targets behind them Creative pipeline: building a system that keeps new creatives flowing every week, with clear rules for what wins and what gets killed, and briefs that turn last week's numbers into next week's ads Creative partners: directing editors, video producers, UGC creators and agencies to the volume and quality the account needs Budget allocation: moving budget across campaigns on data, weighing upside against risk Measurement: knowing which metric answers which question, for example what CPM tells you that CPC does not, and catching a shift in cost the day it happens Tooling: building the reports, scripts and automations you need, with the ad platform APIs and AI tools as your daily coworkers Who you are We're looking for a hands-on paid operator, or a sharp growth generalist who has done the buying. Either way, you have run real budgets yourself, not through a team or an agency, and you can show the numbers. Typically, your profile will look like this: Experience: 2 to 7 years of hands-on paid buying, ideally in a startup or small team where you set things up yourself Paid social channel ownership: you have owned Meta, TikTok or Snapchat end to end, ideally more than one of them and more than once, and you have run accounts at real volume, so you can explain how you structured a large account without losing control of it Creative testing at scale: you test on a schedule with kill rules, direct creative partners instead of making the ads, and notice when a hook or format is burning out; ideally you bring a network of trusted editors, creators and agencies Budget decisions: you are comfortable allocating a budget across many tests and making structured decisions under uncertainty Measurement: you check what platforms report against your own data, you have run holdout or lift tests, and you know which metric answers which question, for example what CPM tells you that CPC does not Data and tooling: you work in SQL or Python, have used the ad platform APIs, and build your own reporting and automations; a data science background is a plus Pace: you thrive in a fast-paced and performance-oriented environment A big plus: you stay close to what works in paid social right now, and you're into music, media, gaming or social What makes this exciting You own a lever the whole company feels, and your work shows up directly in how fast we can grow. You're not a cog in the machine but the captain of your own ship, rewarded for performance and respected for leadership. Flat hierarchies mean that your voice matters, your ideas get implemented, and your impact is immediate. We pay competitive salaries and make you an owner of the business with equity. We work remotely to give you complete freedom over your life, while meeting regularly around the world for global offsites where we strategize, bond, and push boundaries together. What the process will look like We hire on a rolling basis. Earliest starting date is always ASAP.
