AV Industry Expert (German-speaking)
Full TimeOn-siteMid
golinuxschedulingcaexcelonboarding+1

About us Rentman is a B2B SaaS scale-up building a smart, powerful operations management platform to support event and media production teams. Our users plan everything from small shoots to massive festivals in 70+ countries, and they all rely on Rentman to keep their gear, people, and timing perfectly in sync. We're based in Utrecht (NL) with a second office in Toronto (CA), and our 100+ team members work in a culture that's open, flat, and inclusive, where curiosity drives us, ownership matters, and everyone has the freedom to challenge ideas and make an impact. Check out our public roadmap to see what's coming next! Mission of this role The Netherlands is Rentman's biggest customer base, and DACH is our second-biggest. As a Rentman AV Industry Expert (German-speaking) on our Professional Services team, you make sure our German-speaking customers get the same excellent, hands-on support as everyone else. You are the solution expert who helps customers realize the full value of Rentman. You deliver paid trainings to existing customers that accelerate onboarding, boost account health, and broaden usage across teams. Everything comes from our standardized service catalogue: the offering is standard, the application is tailored to each customer. These services come on top of what every Rentman customer already gets free of charge: support, the support center, and for some a dedicated CSM. When you're not delivering customer trainings, you help the wider team stay useful year-round: you build standardized video trainings based on the most common questions coming out of our support center, and you're available to represent Rentman at customer events or trade shows in German-speaking markets. What you'll do Integrate Rentman knowledge with customer-centricity and commercial acumen to provide tailored training, in both German and English, that enhances customer usage, satisfaction, and professional services revenue. Deliver at least 60% of your time as direct, standardized-but-tailored training to customers, one-on-one or in groups. When you're not training customers, build standardized video trainings/webinars addressing the most common issues raised through our support center. Represent Rentman at customer-facing events or trade shows in German-speaking markets when needed. Always look for opportunities to expand and optimize our professional services and serve more customers in a standardized way. Maintain top-level knowledge of Rentman's functionality and industry challenges to advise customers effectively, and keep this knowledge current. Excel in administration and process efficiency to ensure internal processes (availability, booking, invoicing) run smoothly, and the customer journey is frictionless. Adopt a customer-friendly attitude and deliver high-quality training to ensure an optimal customer experience. What we are looking for Native or very fluent in German, and fluent in English. You're equally comfortable running a training in either language. You've worked inside the AV, production company, or event rental industry and know its workflows from the inside. This is what lets you speak credibly to customers about how they run their business, not just how the software works. You're curious about how customers actually get their work done and where the tool could serve them better. You take ownership of your pipeline and your numbers. You communicate clearly, both with customers and internally. You keep your training administration, scheduling, and invoicing organized so the customer journey stays frictionless. You can join us in the Utrecht office as this is a hybrid role. Nice to haves Experience training or onboarding customers on a SaaS platform. Familiarity with Rentman or similar equipment rental or event management software. Exposure to more than one segment, such as dry hire, staging, broadcast, or corporate AV. An existing network in the German/DACH AV and event industry. What you'll get Competitive salary based on experience, plus 8% holiday allowance A results-based bonus based on company performance (up to a full 13th month's salary) 25 vacation days to recharge Earn an extra day of PTO for each year at Rentman, from your second anniversary up to five years. A 4-week paid sabbatical after 5 years to go on an adventure Flexible WFH policy & work from anywhere for 4 weeks a year Pension plan through BrightPensioen An annual training budget to grow your skills Access to OpenUp for mental well-being and personal growth Your choice of a shiny new Windows, Linux, or Mac Stay active with the team: join the Rentman football team, squash and padel, plus a discounted Urban Sports membership An OV Business card if you live more than 10km from the office An ambitious, inclusive, and diverse international team A flexible, energizing workplace with free lunches, office perks (PS5, ping pong, D&D), legendary karaoke nights, and regular team activities An amazing office in the heart of Utrecht, in the historic Drift 17 Our process Here's a breakdown of our recruitment process to give you a clear idea: Introduction Call with the recruiter about the job & Rentman, online (30-45 mins) Past Experience & Culture Interview with the team, online or on-site (60 mins) A take-home assignment (max 120 mins) Final Skills Interview, on-site (60 mins) Apply now! Join us in this exciting journey and help us shape the future of social interactions! About this role We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to turn Yubo's brand ambition into brilliant, effective marketing, from major campaign moments to paid and owned-channel activity, and the smaller tests that help us learn what works. Reporting to the Director of Brand & Communications, you will translate Yubo's brand strategy into an executable US marketing programme. You will lead integrated brand campaigns, own campaign and paid-media planning and management, and build and manage influencer capabilities. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who can move comfortably between strategic thinking and execution. You will challenge plans constructively, make recommendations grounded in insight and data, and work closely with Creative, PR, Product, UA, Data, Trust & Safety and Legal to deliver marketing that builds the brand and drives growth. The role will focus on the US first, with scope to contribute to expansion into new markets as Yubo's marketing activity grows. This is a freelance position on a 6-month contract, with a target start of Q4 2026. Your responsibilites Turn strategic priorities into impactful marketing activity Lead the development and execution of Yubo's priority brand campaigns in the US, from insight and strategy through briefing, delivery, optimisation and reporting. Translate Yubo's positioning, audience priorities and seasonal moments into cultural marketing activity that earns attention amongst Gen Z. Develop integrated channel plans across paid, earned and owned activity, working closely with PR and Creative to ensure every channel plays a clear role. Own campaign budget planning and day-to-day management, partnering closely with UA on paid-media strategy and optimisation. Explore new, less traditional ways for Yubo to reach and engage people, challenging default channel choices and designing approaches that make marketing work harder. Work closely with Data and UA to analyse performance and make clear, evidence-based optimisation recommendations. Build clear measurement plans so every campaign, test and experiment informs future investment and potential expansion into new markets. Identify, recommend and deliver smaller tests and experiments that help Yubo learn quickly and improve future investment. Build influencer, social and community activity Build the plans, operating models and internal capability needed to deliver consistently strong influencer activity and integrate it into wider campaign plans. Manage influencer agency relationships, negotiating cost-effective partnership models that maximise impact and effectiveness. Who you are You are an experienced brand marketer with strong consumer instincts and a genuine interest in youth culture. You know how to turn a positioning and a business objective into a campaign people notice, and how to turn campaign results into smarter decisions next time. You are as comfortable building a strategic recommendation as you are writing a brief, reviewing creative, shaping a media plan, interrogating performance data or getting into the practical detail needed to make work happen. You don't wait for perfect information or a fully formed process; you create clarity, bring people together and move work forward. You will bring: A breadth of experience in brand and integrated marketing, ideally in a high-growth tech, consumer app, entertainment, lifestyle or youth-culture business. A track record of developing and delivering integrated campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels, working closely with cross-functional partners. Confidence analysing campaign performance and translating data into clear optimisation and investment recommendations. Experience working closely with creative teams to develop strong campaign platforms, briefs and work that is both strategically sharp and creatively ambitious. A curiosity for less traditional channels, partnerships and approaches, with the creativity to test new ways of reaching people and maximise earned attention above what we buy.
