"Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads." Doc Brown, Back to the Future Senior Software Engineer - TypeScript & Node, Distributed Messaging (Kafka / RabbitMQ) and AI Coding Agents. Remote, USA (Pacific overlap preferred). Up to $230k + equity. Full-time. US citizens and Green Card holders only - no sponsorship or visa transfers of any kind. READ THIS BIT FIRST Three things decide whether this role is for you. Everything below is detail. Deep TypeScript and Node. Expert level, not exposure. Modern service frameworks, a monorepo setup, React on the front end, cloud-native infrastructure. If TypeScript has been incidental to a Java or Python career, this is not your role. Real distributed messaging Kafka, RabbitMQ or equivalent. This is the single most common reason strong resumes get rejected here. Event-driven systems, queueing and streaming, ordering, idempotency, retries, and what happens when a consumer falls over at volume. Calling REST APIs is not this. Shipping production code with AI coding agents. Hands-on, in a real codebase, right now. You should have opinions about what you delegate to an agent, what you never would, and how you review what comes back. Theory and weekend experiments will not clear the bar. Miss one of the three and the conversation stops there. Have all three and you are already most of the way into a process with a company paying well above market for engineers who do this properly. THE COMPANY A venture-backed B2B software company of roughly 100 people, rebuilding the data layer that moves orders, invoices and shipment data between the companies that actually make and ship things. It is a category that has run on decades-old tooling, manual configuration and months-long onboarding since roughly the fax era. This team turned it into a self-service platform with AI built into the core of the product, and hundreds of enterprise customers now push serious production volume through it daily. Boring-sounding industry. Enormous, sticky market. Genuinely interesting engineering. WHY THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT Most companies will tell you they are AI-forward. Usually that means someone expensed a licence and the team is encouraged to experiment. Here, coding agents are standard equipment - simply how the work gets done. Which means the senior engineering job has quietly turned into something more interesting than it was three years ago. You are not the fastest typist on the team. You are the person who decides what is worth building, designs the system it lives in, directs the agents doing the construction, and reviews their output with exactly the scepticism you would bring to a teammate's pull request. And here is what gets missed in every breathless post about AI replacing engineers: this makes deep fundamentals more valuable, not less. You cannot safely approve what an agent produces if you do not genuinely understand the system underneath it. An agent will happily hand you something that compiles, passes tests, and quietly falls apart the first time real volume hits it at 3am. Catching that is the job. WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY BE DOING Designing the hard parts. You lead the technical design of major initiatives and product features. You write the design docs. You make the call on architecture and you argue it in business terms, not just technical ones. Directing and reviewing AI agents. Decomposing work so agents can execute it well, steering that execution, and reviewing it rigorously. You set the standard for what an agent is and is not allowed to ship. Living in distributed systems. The platform is event-driven, moving high volumes of transactional data between parties who all have opinions about format and timing. Owning reliability. Enterprise customers' supply chains depend on what you build. You own how it behaves under load and when things break. Raising the bar. Mentoring other engineers and lifting their design skills. Partnering with product. Pushing back when the engineering cost does not justify the outcome, and proposing the better route to the same result. WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT Not a management role. No reports, no headcount, no review cycles. If you went into management and came back to IC because building is what you love, that reads as excellent judgement here. Not execution inside someone else's architecture. If the last few years were delivering well-specified work within a design someone more senior set, this will not land at this level. Not a prompt-engineering gig. Using agents is the baseline, not the achievement. Not a process role. Nobody is being hired to run ceremonies, own a board, or evangelise a methodology. Not backend-only, frontend-only or infra-only. This is product engineering. Not hybrid, and not sponsored. Genuinely remote, US-based, Pacific overlap preferred. No visa sponsorship and no visa transfers. THE REST OF THE SCREEN 5-15 years in product engineering, shipping things customers use. A growth-stage background - Series C or later, or Series A/B with genuine enterprise traction. End-to-end ownership of a major system or product area. Product-minded, strong communicator who can argue a trade-off with people who do not write code. B2B SaaS experience is a bonus. THE DETAILS Up to $230k + equity. Full-time and permanent. Remote-first by design, with unlimited PTO and a work-from-home benefit. Four-stage interview process. Several engineers are being hired on this requisition, so you are not competing for a single seat. This is a confidential search handled by Big Wave Digital. Apply here and we will walk you through the company, the product, the team and the process. Where we're going, we don't need roads. We do need someone who can read what the machines write. Back-End Engineer | Node.js / TypeScript | Major Media & Entertainment Brand I'm recruiting for one of the most recognizable brands in media and entertainment as they add a Back-End Engineer to their core product engineering team. This is a rare opportunity to work behind a massive consumer brand while still operating on a small, highly collaborative engineering team where individual engineers have real ownership and visibility. You won't be maintaining one isolated service inside a huge organization. The team supports a broad ecosystem of high-traffic digital products, giving engineers exposure to everything from backend services and APIs to content platforms, media delivery, commerce and advertising technology. What you'll be doing: Build and scale backend services in Node.js / TypeScript Design and develop production REST APIs Work across high-traffic consumer-facing products and internal platforms Solve performance challenges involving caching, CDNs and content delivery Build and evolve service-oriented cloud architecture Own features from technical design through production Work closely with frontend, product, design and data teams Use modern AI development tools including Claude, Codex and GitHub Copilot to streamline engineering workflows What they're looking for: Strong production experience with Node.js and TypeScript on the backend Experience designing and building scalable APIs Strong backend architecture and engineering fundamentals Experience with high-volume applications, caching and CDNs Cloud infrastructure experience Someone who can clearly articulate the systems and products they've personally built A self-directed engineer who thrives on a small team with significant ownership Experience with AWS serverless architecture, MongoDB and Fastly is highly valuable, although there is flexibility around specific infrastructure technologies. Experience across consumer technology, streaming, video, AdTech, digital media, publishing or content platforms is also highly relevant. What makes this opportunity especially interesting is the combination of brand recognition and startup-style engineering ownership. You get the scale and visibility of a major consumer platform without disappearing into an enormous engineering organization. $140K–$160K base If you're a strong Node.js / TypeScript backend engineer who wants to build products used by a massive audience while still having meaningful technical ownership, please apply!
bunch is building the backbone of private markets. We are enabling next-gen fund operations with one integrated system that combines secure data infrastructure, AI-powered workflows and expert fund services. If you value ownership, growth through real responsibility, and working with a thoughtful, ambitious team, this role might be for you. Your Role As Marketing Lead, you turn marketing into a reliable source of qualified pipeline across the UK, Luxembourg and Germany. You report to the Co-Founder and own the marketing plan, budget and team. Our buyers are GPs, CFOs, COOs and fund operations teams at VC and PE managers. Trust in this market comes from expertise, references and the institutions they already rely on, and almost nobody speaks to the CFO and operations team directly. We will. The founders set the company narrative; you build the engine that carries it to market. Top priorities Own marketing's pipeline contribution Set marketing's pipeline target by market with the CEO and own the result: qualified pipeline in euros across the UK, Luxembourg and Germany. Define and run the marketing plan and budget for each market, and decide which programmes to scale and which to stop. Grow our presence beyond our current client base and build our position with larger fund managers. Build the engine across three vectors Content and credibility: a weekly publishing cadence built on what our fund specialists, founders and clients know (operational deep dives, migration and capital-call guides, case studies with named clients), co-publications and webinars with the institutions and voices our buyers trust, and the data and insights lane: bunch as the source the market and journalists call about European private markets operations. You orchestrate; you run the writer. Field: an events programme you produce in-house for fund CFOs and COOs, who rarely attend the investor events, built as a ladder: a 10-person series per market, seller-owned events, partner events with law firms, auditors and banks, and from there larger flagship formats, eventually a bunch conference. Growth and online: with our Growth Marketing Manager and our sales ops and data team, the digital channels, pooled audiences and the HubSpot attribution and MQL→SQL layer that turn attention into qualified pipeline. Own positioning and product marketing, with Product Positioning and messaging by tier, release go-to-market, and sales enablement (one-pagers, battlecards, demo narratives). Product owns the roadmap and release notes; you own how the market hears about them. Become an expert in our product: sit with client onboarding and the fund specialists until you can demo and explain the platform yourself. Work hand in hand with sales Run the marketing surround on named target accounts in HubSpot and hand engagement signals on to the sales team, so their next touch lands warm. Sellers own their accounts; marketing never emails a prospect one-to-one. Bring market insight back to the commercial team: what our buyers read, discuss and care about, in a weekly market brief you own. Build the function Set up the marketing scoreboard (attribution, shared definitions of MQL, SQL and sourced vs influenced pipeline, reporting) with our sales ops and data team. Lead and grow the team: a Growth Marketing Manager today, a writer on retainer, an events coordinator as the series scales; manage agencies and freelancers. About you 5+ years in total, including 2+ in growth or marketing at a B2B scale-up selling to expert or regulated buyers (fintech, financial services, legal, insurance). You have built a marketing function or content programme from near zero: hired for it, set its budget, chose its agencies, and it kept running when you stepped back. Consulting or GTM-practice years count; private markets experience puts you at the top of our list. You have built or run attribution and steer on pipeline in euros, not MQL counts, with a number you moved to show for it. Hands-on in HubSpot, and you build your own workflows and agents (automations, LLM pipelines for content and signals), not just prompts. Player-coach. You ship before you delegate, turn subject-matter experts into a publishing engine, and learn a market by sitting in its sales calls and reading what its buyers read. Fewer things, done brilliantly. You cut what you can't measure, automate prep but never relationship touches, and know that sellers own their accounts. Full professional English; German is a plus. Comfortable spending regular time in the UK, Luxembourg and Germany. About bunch bunch is building the operating infrastructure for the next generation of private markets. We combine AI-powered automation with deep regulatory expertise to replace fragmented spreadsheets and manual processes with one integrated platform across the fund lifecycle, purpose-built for private markets heading toward $32 trillion in Assets Under Management. We've 4x our ARR in 2025, crossed 150 fund managers and 12,000 LPs on the platform, and just closed our $35M Series B in May 2026. We're looking for ambitious people who want real ownership of hard problems, and who care about building infrastructure that actually matters to the people using it. At bunch, we're committed to an inclusive environment where diversity is valued and celebrated. We provide equal opportunities to all qualified applicants. Adaptyv is building an automated lab that lets AI agents run biology experiments. We're entering the era of agentic science where AI models can now design novel proteins, propose hypotheses, and iterate on experimental results. But they can't run the experiments themselves - that's still a manual, months-long process. We're building the infrastructure that gives AI agents access to the physical world. We are one of the fastest growing biotech companies, trusted by leading biopharmas, frontier AI labs, and the techbio companies pushing the field forward. This is a rare chance to help advance some of the most important work happening in biotech today. Our automated lab is powered by a deep software + hardware stack: lab instruments worth millions of USD reverse-engineered into API-controllable hardware, dozens of devices orchestrated through complex workflows, full observability on everything that happens in the lab, processing pipelines for messy physical-world data, and AI systems that troubleshoot production results and accelerate assay development. We're growing rapidly and are hiring for talented people to scale and support the massive demand for AI-driven wet lab experimentation. About the Role Adaptyv is growing fast. We are significantly expanding our lab this year, onboarding more and more customers every week, and building the systems needed to keep the company running smoothly as we scale. We are looking for a Founders Associate to own and build the operational backbone of the company as we scale. This is a high-ownership generalist role: you'll take entire problems and run them end-to-end, from messy first draft to a process that runs cleanly without you. You'll move between finance, customer operations, hiring, supplier relationships, and lab logistics — owning whatever is most important that week, not just supporting it. Most of what you'll work on is still manual, ad hoc, or held together by hand; your job is to turn it into systems and automations that scale, then move on to the next hardest thing. This role requires exceptional agency and an entrepreneurial mindset. You should be comfortable being handed an ambiguous goal with no playbook and coming back with it solved. What You'll Do Own complete operational workstreams end-to-end — you're accountable for outcomes, not tasks Use AI tools to rebuild workflows that are still too manual, messy, or slow, and turn them into systems that run without you Own customer onboarding and help keep our growing customer base happy as we scale Run finance and administrative operations, working closely with our accountants and service providers Manage supplier and service-provider relationships, including negotiation and follow-through Drive lab expansion logistics for our new lab in Lausanne Own internal company coordination: events, customer visits, team operations, and the day-to-day rhythm of the company Build lightweight tools and automations using Claude Code, Python, Notion, no-code tools, or whatever gets the job done Design the processes and systems the company doesn't have yet — and make them happen What We're Looking For A track record of getting things done: you've started something, run something, or owned something meaningful, whether at a startup, a side project, a club, or your studies. A background in biology is not a hard requirement. If you're coming from a different field, a genuine interest in the life sciences is important to us. Exceptional agency and ownership. You spot problems before anyone asks, take action, and don't stop until they're solved Entrepreneurial and self-directed — you're comfortable with ambiguity and no playbook, and you'd rather build the system than just run the task Strong with AI tools, especially Claude Code or Codex. You use them to build real workflows and tools, not just draft emails Hands-on, organized, and reliable. You follow through, keep things tidy, and don't let things fall through the cracks You thrive in a dynamic role where priorities change quickly, and you're comfortable jumping between projects, responsibilities, and urgent operational needs Details Location: Lausanne, Switzerland (on-site) Type: Full time Start Date: ASAP Application deadline We are reviewing applicants on a rolling basis. of the go to market organization. Our Industries customers in France, Iberia and Italy include many of the region's largest enterprises across financial services, healthcare and life sciences, manufacturing, telecom, retail, energy, and other sectors. You'll leverage your experience building and leading technical sales teams to drive positive AI transformation that addresses our customers' business needs, meets their technical and regulatory requirements, and provides a high degree of reliability and safety. This will include leveraging your technical skills and consultative sales experience to hire great 1st line managers and individual contributors, establish processes to scale your team, and represent Anthropic directly at strategic customer engagements. Responsibilities: Hire, manage, and guide a team of 1st line managers who will in turn build teams of pre-sales Applied AI Architects across France, Iberia and Italy. Set goals for your team in collaboration with sales leadership and establish baseline expectations for performance across your team. Work with cross-functional teams like product and engineering to ensure Anthropic prioritizes customer feedback or resolves blockers to adoption in the region. Travel regularly across Southern Europe to customers or conferences for executive-level sessions, technical workshops, and relationship building. Contribute to thought leadership through conference presentations, webinars, and technical content creation. Stay current with emerging AI trends and the competitive landscape. You may be a good fit if you: 7+ years of technical pre-sales management experience, including 2nd-line leadership or above (leading managers). Have sold complex technical products to large enterprises in France, Iberia, Italy, the Middle-East and Africa. Have worked across multiple industries, such as financial services, healthcare and life sciences, manufacturing, telecom, retail, and energy. Understand the cultural differences between Southern European markets and the regulatory context your customers operate in, and adapt your approach to each. Think highly strategically about complex industry accounts, and turn that thinking into plans your team and sales counterparts can execute. Have deep technical proficiency with enterprise AI use cases, API integrations, and LLM deployments. Thrive in building and rapidly scaling teams and processes within ambiguous and fast-moving environments. Have excellent communication, collaboration, and coaching abilities. Strong executive presence and ability to foster deep relationships with business and technical leaders at the region's largest companies. Have at least a high level familiarity with the architecture and operation of LLMs. Have a passion for making powerful technology safe and societally beneficial. Stay up-to-date and informed by taking an active interest in emerging research and industry trends within AI. Strong candidates may have: Enterprise pre-sales leadership at scale: 5+ years leading solution architect teams through hypergrowth (ideally dozens of people across several countries), with direct experience leading managers and developing talent in complex enterprise software sales environments. Multilingual and multicultural range: In addition to English, fluency in one or more of French, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese, and experience leading teams distributed across several countries. Experience with consumption business models: Ideal candidates have built GTM frameworks anchored on consumption, not just SaaS-based licenses. Multi-industry GTM experience in regulated sectors: Demonstrated success adapting technical approaches to different verticals, in particular regulated ones such as banking, insurance, and healthcare, including working with risk, compliance, and works council stakeholders. The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: €265.000 — €310.000 EUR Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices. Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this. We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team. Your safety matters to us. How we're different We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences. Come work with us! Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues.
