Unsere Themen: Cybersecurity, Informationssicherheit, Managed IT Services, Microsoft Business Central/NAV-Modernisierung, Prozessdigitalisierung, Industrial IoT, Cloud, Daten und KI. We Are Sparta Sparta is the AI leader for commodity trading, home to Leonidas AI, the first operating system for oil and commodity traders. Backed by $42 million in Series B funding led by One Peak, with participation from returning investors FirstMark and Singular, the same investors behind AI leaders like Legora, Dataiku, and Synthesia. Most companies are building a chatbot on top of data. We've built an agent with an actual reasoning layer, grounded in years of proprietary market data and in-house trading expertise nobody else has. We're scaling fast, and it's an exciting time to join. From independents to multinationals, the world's leading commodity teams use Sparta and Leonidas AI to move faster, trade smarter, and stay ahead of the market. At Sparta, you'll be trusted to take ownership, backed by a team who wants you to succeed. AI is how we build here, not just what we sell. Good ideas move fast, and yours could go from staging to production in a couple of hours, whatever department you're in. You'll be challenged, supported, and given room to grow, building the AI that's changing how commodity trading gets done. Your work has reach. From shaping Leonidas AI, to powering smarter decisions for traders around the world, to changing how commodity trading is done. And because we're growing fast, you'll accelerate your career with a level of ownership and impact you simply won't get at bigger, slower-moving companies. The role Sparta's Data Marketplace (DMP) is our rapidly growing data business, distinct from the core SaaS platform. It delivers Sparta's proprietary pricing and curve data as well as third-party data via API, and partners like Snowflake, Databricks and others. You'll be the dedicated sales lead for DMP, carrying your own sales target and accountable for growing Data Marketplace revenue. This is a global role: you'll work alongside the sales teams in Europe, the US, Middle East and Asia: with the Account Directors who own existing customers, to find data upsell within their book, and with Account Executives, to put DMP in front of new logos. What You'll Do • Build and manage a pipeline of prospects across quant and trading desks, hedge funds, and physical trading or analytics teams who need direct data feeds. You own the Data Marketplace sales number. • Work with regional Account Directors to identify data upsell opportunities within existing Sparta accounts. • Work with regional Account Executives to pitch and sell the DMP product to new logos. • Articulate the commercial case for Sparta's proprietary and third-party redistributed data (physical and financial curves, broker data, PRA and exchange data) across crude, refined products, freight, LPG and bunker fuel. • Structure and price data packages and subscriptions tailored to each customer's use case, from historical data for market analytics through to live feeds for automated trading models. • Partner with the Data Marketplace product team to stay current on the data catalogue, roadmap and new distribution channels (API, Snowflake, Databricks and others as they launch). • Represent Sparta at industry and data-focused events, building relationships with data buyers and data- provider partners. • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting in HubSpot, applying MEDDPICC to qualify and progress opportunities. • Feed customer and market insight back to the product team to help shape the Data Marketplace roadmap and packaging. Who You Are • 7+ years of B2B sales experience selling data, market data feeds, or financial/information products. • A track record of selling directly to quant or trading desks, hedge funds, or data and analytics teams at trading houses. • Comfortable engaging both technical buyers (data and quant teams) and commercial decision-makers. • Working understanding of data licensing and distribution commercial models: APIs, data feeds, subscriptions. • Strong negotiation and deal-structuring skills, with the ability to price and package data products around a customer's use case. • An excellent communicator, able to translate technical data capability into clear commercial value. • Based in London or Geneva, in the office 3-4 days a week, and happy to travel internationally (across Europe, the US, Middle East and Asia) for customer meetings and industry events. Nice to haves • Experience selling commodities, energy or market data specifically. • Familiarity with data distribution platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar data marketplaces. • Familiarity with HubSpot and Claude. Why Join Sparta? At Sparta, our culture is built on innovation, collaboration, and high performance. We thrive in a fast-paced environment where initiative is celebrated, challenges are embraced, and impact is rewarded. • Equity in a high-growth, VC-backed company • $42M in Series B funding — strong market traction and investment • Early-stage growth — build your career as we scale • Market-leading product — we are redefining commodity trading intelligence • Top-tier tools and technology to support your success What's the Culture Like at Sparta? At Sparta, our culture isn't just a set of values on a wall — it's how we work. We embrace a dynamic environment where initiative is celebrated, challenges are met head-on, and innovation thrives. You'll collaborate with people who are passionate about our mission and committed to building outstanding products and outcomes for our customers. The Sparta Code Understanding is non-negotiable Understanding leads to believing. Believing leads to winning. The 'why' is the difference between compliance and conviction. Before we execute, we ask: why does this matter, who does it serve, what changes if we win? People who understand the mission don't need to be managed. Ask for forgiveness, not for permission Most decisions are reversible. Most fears are not. 90% of decisions are reversible. Make them, ship, iterate. Perfection is the enemy of efficiency. Bias for action means moving before you have all the answers, but it isn't recklessness. The rule: tell the rest of us what you did, what changed, what you learned. Fall in love with the problem The mission wins. Your idea doesn't have to. Solutions flatter our ego. They feel like progress. But solutions without problems are opinions, and opinions don't move customers, markets, or teammates. The goal is to find what's true, not to win the room. If your idea gets killed because a better one comes along, that's the system working. It's your fault. Lucky you. If it's on you, it's in your control. True ownership sounds harsh until you feel how liberating it is. If every problem is yours, you stop spending energy on who to blame and start spending it on how to fix it. Effective leaders default to 'it's on me'. Not out of guilt, but out of agency. Conflict is a gift Honesty is an expression of care. Withholding feedback is choosing comfort over growth, yours and your colleague's. Staying silent deprives others of the chance to learn. We challenge openly and with positive intent. Done with care, this builds trust. Done with ego, it destroys it. Sparta Commodities is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and promotes diversity within its workforce. We are determined that no-one will ever receive less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, age, disability, religion, belief, sexual orientation, marital status, race, veteran status or any basis covered by appropriate law. Nice to haves • Prior exposure to energy and commodity markets. • Experience selling financial data platforms, analytics software, or SaaS solutions directly to traders, analysts, quants or risk managers. • Experience selling for a scale-up or challenger brand, where the name doesn't open the door for you. • Familiarity with HubSpot and Claude. • An additional European language. IMPORTANT: Please be aware, scammers may try to impersonate Zello by reaching out regarding job opportunities. We will never ask you for bank account information, checks, or other sensitive information as part of our hiring process. All correspondence will come from the zello.com email domain. If you're unsure, please email ----- with questions. About Zello Zello is a voice-first communication platform, powered by our industry-leading push-to-talk technology, to improve collaboration and productivity for desk-less workers. With over 175+ million users, we're the #1 rated push-to-talk app in the world, delivering 9 billion (yes, with a B) messages a month. At Zello, our company values are at the heart of what we do everyday. We're proud to serve the frontline, we're privileged to connect people in times of crisis across the globe, and we're honored to support first responders. And this is where you come in. Zello keeps frontline teams connected with instant push-to-talk voice. Our customer base across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific is growing faster than separate sales and support queues can keep up with. This role owns the inbound experience for those customers end to end, from the first pricing question to the first support ticket, so new customers buy faster and stay longer. You'll be based in Munich, report to our Sales Leader EMEA, and work closely with our Account Executives, Support, and Customer Success teams. After a successful first year, you will Have owned inbound EMEA and APAC leads end to end, responding to every new inquiry within one business day and converting at least 20% of qualified leads into paying customers. Have closed a steady monthly run-rate of new SMB deals and plan upgrades, with every opportunity tracked accurately in HubSpot. Have resolved at least 80% of support tickets on first contact, with customer satisfaction at or above team target. Have built a library of macros, setup guides, and FAQ answers that measurably reduced repeat tickets on the most common topics. Have handed off at least 10 qualified expansion opportunities to Account Executives, becoming a reliable source of enterprise pipeline. What you'll do Respond to inbound inquiries, demo requests, and trial sign-ups from across EMEA and APAC, qualify them, and close SMB deals and plan upgrades. Run demos and onboarding calls in English, showing frontline teams how Zello fits the way they already work. Work the support queue in HubSpot: troubleshoot account, channel, and device issues across Android, iOS, rugged handsets, and PTT accessories. Escalate what you can't solve to Tier 2 and Engineering with clean reproduction steps, and close the loop with the customer. Keep HubSpot accurate, with every contact, deal, and ticket logged and a clear next step. Spot customers outgrowing self-serve and hand them to Account Executives with the context they need to win. Turn recurring questions into help content and macros, and feed customer feedback back to Product. Who you are You've spent 2+ years in a role that combined selling and supporting customers, such as inside sales, SaaS support, or customer success, and can point to deals you closed and customers you kept. You speak and write fluent English. Another language is a plus. You're based in Munich, or ready to be. You troubleshoot hands-on: you're comfortable setting up Android and iOS devices, two-way radios or rugged handsets, and working through Wi-Fi, LTE, or Bluetooth issues until it works. You've worked in HubSpot or a comparable CRM and ticketing tool, and you keep your records clean without being chased. You explain technical things in plain language to people who aren't technical, like a warehouse supervisor or a dispatcher mid-shift. You follow through: when you tell a customer you'll get back to them, you do, and they remember it. You raise problems early and share what you learn, so the next ticket or deal goes faster for the whole team. This Role Is Not A pure support role measured only on ticket volume. Sales outcomes are half the job. An enterprise Account Executive role. Large, multi-stakeholder deals go to the AE team. A Tier 3 engineering role. You diagnose and escalate; you don't fix code. A people management role. We hire for potential, passion for our mission, and a knack for solving difficult problems over checking every qualification box. We have competitive pay, equity with significant upside, and intentionally design our benefits to encourage healthy and well-balanced employees, flexible schedules and time off. We even offer a sabbatical after every five years of service so you're able to pursue and enjoy what matters most to you. And of course, we wouldn't be a technology company without a ping-pong table and free snacks in our break room. Join us! Zello provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. All Zello personnel are required to comply with defined security, privacy, and compliance requirements applicable to their role along with requirements that are applicable to all Zello personnel.
