Staff Forward Deployed Engineer – AI-Native Software Development
Full TimeOn-sitePrincipal
pythonjavaci/cdllmarchitecturedata privacy

At JetBrains, code is our passion. Ever since we started, back in 2000, we have strived to make the strongest, most effective developer tools on earth. By automating routine checks and corrections, our tools speed up production, freeing developers to grow, discover, and create. We just unveiled JetBrains Central, a platform for agent-driven software development that connects tools, agents, and infrastructure. It enables automated AI workflows to run, be monitored, and be managed across teams – with clear visibility into results, costs, and performance. JetBrains Central provides three core capabilities: Governance and control: Policy enforcement, identity and access management, observability, auditability, and cost attribution for agent-driven work. Some of these functionalities are already available via the JetBrains Central Console . Agent execution infrastructure: Cloud agent runtimes and computation provisioning that allow agents to run reliably across development environments. Agent optimization and context: Shared semantic context across repositories and projects, enabling agents to access relevant knowledge, and task routing to the most appropriate models or tools. Inside the Professional Services department, we are building a team of Forward Deployed Engineers to help our customers adopt AI-native development with JetBrains Central and enable JetBrains consulting partners to transform their customers' AI-native software development lifecycle. About the role As a Principal Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with early adopter customers to deploy JetBrains Central platform into complex enterprise environments and help them move from experimental AI usage to governed, scalable AI-native development. You will act as a trusted advisor to customer engineering teams and consulting partners, while also mentoring other Forward Deployed Engineers and helping with complex deployments. In this role, you will help establish best practices for enterprise AI adoption and influence how organizations implement AI-driven software development. This role is often a strong fit for engineers who have previously served as Principal or Staff Engineers, Heads of Engineering, CTOs, or Solutions Architects and who enjoy working directly with customers while staying deeply involved with complex technical systems. This role combines consulting, architecture, and hands-on engineering. Your work in the field will directly influence how our platform evolves and how enterprises adopt AI-driven development. You will work directly with the world's most innovative companies — our client base includes 420 of the Fortune 500 — ensuring they maximize the value of their JetBrains investments. What you'll do Deploy JetBrains Central platform into enterprise development environments, CI/CD systems, and internal developer platforms. Help organizations transition from ad-hoc AI experimentation to governed AI-native development workflows. Implement enterprise AI governance, including security policies, access management, and data privacy controls. Enable observability for AI-driven development to help organizations understand their AI usage and its impact on productivity, as well as their code-generation patterns. Design sustainable AI adoption strategies, including usage controls and cost visibility across multiple model providers. Integrate our cloud-based agent execution layer, allowing AI agents to run securely and at scale. Collaborate closely with JetBrains product teams to shape the platform based on real-world deployments and customer feedback. Create delivery frameworks and train JetBrains partners to deliver the desired scope of service. Mentor and support other Forward Deployed Engineers, sharing architectural expertise and helping to scale the team's deployment practices. You will thrive in this role if you are A consultant at heart who can communicate effectively with both engineers and technical leadership. Able to see the whole picture of the software development lifecycle across developer tools, infrastructure, APIs, and cloud systems. Experienced at integrating complex software systems into enterprise environments. Curious about the future of AI agents and AI-native software development. Comfortable working with early adopters and overcoming ambiguous technical challenges. Motivated to mentor other engineers and contribute to building a new technical discipline. What you will bring Experience in software-related projects, ideally in a customer-facing or consulting environment. Familiarity with Java or Python. Experience building or integrating developer platforms, infrastructure systems, or software solutions. Familiarity with modern development workflows (CI/CD, developer environments, internal developer platforms, etc.). Experience working directly with customers or technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate in fast-evolving technical environments. Ability and desire to travel to meet customers. These would be a plus, but are not blockers Experience with industry-specific solutions (fintech, telco, retail, etc.) Experience with AI/LLM platforms, agent frameworks, or AI-assisted development tools. Experience in solutions engineering, consulting, or forward-deployed engineering roles. Familiarity with the JetBrains ecosystem or developer productivity tooling. #LI-KP1 We are an equal opportunity employer We know great ideas can come from anyone, anywhere. That's why we do our best to create an open and inclusive workplace – one that welcomes everyone regardless of their background, identity, religion, age, accessibility needs, or orientation. About CreativeX CreativeX is B2B SaaS technology platform that helps global marketing teams make smarter creative decisions and elevate creative expression through the clarity of data. Our technology powers creative decision-making at some of the biggest brands in the world, including Google, Unilever, Pepsi, Bayer, Mondelez, Heineken, and more. We use computer vision and other machine learning techniques to extract creative data from our client's digital advertising copy and transform those previously dark signals into a standardised data model at industrial scale. This creates a new, unique and powerful first party data set that represents the last and most impactful untapped reservoir of advertising performance. That's because multiple studies have shown that the "Creative" itself is responsible for half of sales lift online, higher than reach, targeting, brand, & recency combined. But creative impact has always been the least analysed and least understood component of a complex set of marketing variables. This is the problem CreativeX is focussed on solving. We're an end-to-end solution to ingest, process, and analyse content at scale. We help brands isolate creative elements so they can be analysed against downstream ad impact metrics, from clickthrough rates to brand lift. Our objective is to help marketing organisations power every creative decision with data. Product Design Team As a Product Designer, you'll help shape the next generation of the CreativeX platform, taking problems from discovery through to shipped experiences across defined areas of the product. You'll be the design lead in a product trio alongside a Product Manager and an Engineering Lead, owning whether users want what we build and whether they can figure out how to use it, while sharing discovery, outcomes and trade-offs with your partners. CreativeX is a complex product with rich data, multiple user types and increasingly sophisticated AI capabilities, and as AI increases the volume and speed of creative production, you'll make that complexity work for marketers, helping them measure performance fast, find the patterns behind what's working and see whether their full set of ads is delivering the strategy. Our roadmap is framed as problems to solve, not screens to make, so we expect you to bring a point of view. Product Design is a small, hands-on team in a scale-up: you'll be trusted with real ownership early, and this hire is an important step in growing the team. What you will do Own design for defined product areas, from understanding the problem through to working with Product and Engineering to ship the right experience Get close to marketers and creative teams through customer conversations, research and usability testing, using what you learn to inform design decisions Partner with Product and Engineering in discovery to validate real problems, challenge assumptions and make sensible trade-offs between customer value, business needs and technical constraints Turn creative data, insights and AI-powered capabilities into intuitive workflows, dashboards and decision-making tools Design for the platform, not just the feature, building on existing patterns and connecting experiences across CreativeX Use and extend our design system, creating and documenting patterns and components so they're implemented consistently Raise the quality bar through strong interaction and visual design craft, and by giving and receiving feedback in critiques Learn from what you ship, using customer feedback, product data and research to improve the experience What success looks like In your first 90 days Learn the CreativeX platform, our customers and our design system, and work as the design lead in your product trio Take ownership of a defined product area and ship, or get build-ready, your first piece of work Contribute to our AI-powered product work and add to or improve patterns in our design system Join customer conversations and use what you hear to shape your design decisions In your first year Own design for one or more product areas, taking work from discovery through to launch with little direction Ship work you can point to, using customer feedback and product data to show whether it solved the problem Help build out new parts of our design system and make the product feel more coherent across areas Shape how design works at CreativeX as the team grows, including supporting newer designers Who you are 3–5 years of product design experience, with a portfolio that shows how you framed problems, explored options, made trade-offs and learned from what shipped Strong interaction and visual design craft, confident in Figma, prototyping and design systems, and familiar with Slack and Linear Experience using research, usability testing and customer feedback to inform design decisions A systems mindset and the ability to make complex information, workflows and data easy to understand Clear, collaborative communication: you challenge ideas constructively, take feedback well and know when to ship and learn Experience working closely with Product and Engineering in a product trio or small team, with real ownership Nice to have: B2B SaaS, data-heavy or analytics products; marketing, advertising or martech; AI-powered products; mentoring junior designers; scale-up experience At CreativeX, we encourage applicants of all backgrounds and identities to apply for roles that align with their own interests and career trajectory. If you fit the description above and see yourself in this role, we would love to see your application! Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship at this time. What we offer 🍎 Private Medical Insurance and Health Cash Plan ✈️ Generous time off + bank holidays 📚 Education budget to be used for individual learning experiences or grouped with your team for joint learning 🧘 Annual subscription to Calm and Headspace for your mental wellbeing 🎟 Monthly coaching to talk to a trained professional about career goals, relationships, and personal development 💵 Competitive salary including stock options, as we believe that everyone should have a stake in the business 🍼 4-month full pay parenting leave for all employees who have been with the company for one (1) year CreativeX provides equal employment opportunities for all applicants and employees. As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and secure workplace, CreativeX conducts standard right to work and background checks on all potential employees. This process is designed to verify the accuracy of information provided by candidates and to ensure a safe environment for all employees. Background checks are conducted via a secure third party application and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Find Jobs in United Kingdom on Arbeitnow

About Wolt At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we're building the delivery of (almost) everything and you'll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe. Working at Wolt isn't always easy, but it's definitely exciting. Here you'll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You'll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you're a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life. Join us in shaping the experience that millions of customers land on every time they open DoorDash, Wolt, or Deliveroo. As part of our Core Consumer organisation, our Homepage team owns one of the single biggest levers we have on what customers find and one of the hardest surfaces in the app to get right. Working at the intersection of ranking, personalisation, and AI/ML, you'll help decide what each customer sees and why, across three brands and dozens of markets. You'll be building on a global stack, and your roadmap will be a mix: global platform problems that apply worldwide, global capabilities we're accelerating into EMEA, and EMEA-specific problems worth solving properly rather than working around. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Homepage team. In this role, you'll shape how customers discover restaurants, grocery and retail venues, dishes and products — and help define what discovery looks like as AI-driven and agentic experiences change the way people decide what to order. What You'll Be Doing You'll be joining a team working on one of the most-used surfaces in the app. Here's what your day-to-day might look like: Building new end-to-end features and user experiences on Homepage that shape how customers discover restaurants, grocery and retail venues, dishes, and products. Working on ranking, personalisation, and AI/ML problems in the Homepage domain, including how we decide what each customer sees and why. Exploring where AI-driven and agentic experiences change the way customers discover what to order. Making discovery work across three brands and many markets, without flattening into one-size-fits-all. What You'll Need to Thrive Our ideal candidate will bring strong product judgment and curiosity to grow into the rest: Proven experience as a Product Manager on consumer-facing products - discovery, homepage, feed, or ranking-driven experiences are especially relevant. You are a product manager more than a feature owner. Someone who finds the customer problems that matter most and makes the case for solving them. You work backwards from the customer problem, and weigh it against what the business needs most right now. You're comfortable holding several business objectives at once and making a call when they pull in different directions. You work well with a wide range of stakeholders and build trust with people whose priorities differ from your own. You think strategically and can move between long-term direction and what we should ship next. You're comfortable with ambiguity and genuinely flexible (this industry is changing fast, AI most of all). You're curious about what AI actually changes for customers, and can tell real value from hype. Next steps The position will be filled as soon as we find the right person, so make sure to apply as soon as you realize you really, really want to join us! Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion We're committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our company, industry, and cities. That's why we hire and cultivate diverse teams of people from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We believe that true innovation happens when everyone has room at the table and the tools, resources, and opportunity to excel. About RA Resident Advisor has been a home for electronic music culture since 2001. Event discovery, ticketing, news and long-form editorial, artist profiles, original films, and a weekly mix series two decades deep. Around 7 million people use the web platform every month, with a wider audience across our apps and other channels. Underneath the platform sits a network of contributors and city managers across dozens of cities, which is how we stay connected to the scenes we cover rather than reporting on them from a distance. RA is 25 years old, independent, B.Corp certified and intent on being indispensable to the artists, promoters and audiences who make this culture. Purpose of the role As our Senior QA Engineer, you'll look after the quality of ra.co , our iOS and Android apps, and RA Scan, the app promoters use to scan tickets at the door. You'll work across five product teams. Each team writes and runs its own tests. You'll help them do it well, keep the automated test suites healthy, and test the riskiest releases yourself. Some of what we ship carries real risk: payments, checkout, and getting people into venues on the night. Other changes are a line of copy. You'll help us tell the two apart and test each one accordingly. We use AI tools across development, and you'll help the teams use them to write better tests, faster. Key responsibilities Keep the web end-to-end test suite healthy: fix flaky tests, add coverage for new features, and make sure a failing suite gets fixed quickly Grow automated testing for our iOS and Android apps and RA Scan with the app developers, so mobile tests run on every change Test high-risk releases yourself, such as payments and checkout, including edge cases and what happens when things fail Review the test plans teams write, and help them improve Use AI tools to write and maintain tests, help developers do the same, and check what the tools produce Brief our external testing partner and review the results they send back Report bugs clearly, and follow them through with developers and product managers Track a few simple measures, such as bugs that reach production and how reliable the automated tests are We're looking for Several years in QA or test engineering, typically four or more, testing web and mobile products Hands-on test automation: you've built and maintained automated tests that run in CI, for web (for example Playwright, Cypress or Selenium) and ideally mobile. We use XCUITest on iOS and Espresso with Kotlin on Android Enough coding to write and fix tests alongside developers, in a language such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Kotlin or Swift You can test APIs and check data with SQL Good judgement about risk: what to test deeply, what lightly, and what not at all You've used AI tools in your testing work, and know where they help and where they don't Clear writing: bug reports and test plans other people can act on If you meet most of these but not all, we'd still like to hear from you. Nobody arrives with all of it, and we'll help you grow into the rest. Nice to have CircleCI or a similar CI tool Working with an external testing partner Payments, checkout or ticketing systems Testing apps used at live events, with poor networks Test management tools such as Qase or TestRail What we offer you Generous annual leave policies aimed at promoting work-life balance. Matched pension, or 401k for US staff. Comprehensive staff wellbeing initiatives, featuring regular activities and workplace programmes to support mental and physical health. This includes discounted ClassPass memberships and custom-fitted earplugs. Company-led social events, team lunches, and discounts on merch. Paid annual volunteering allowance, encouraging contributions to community projects and charities you care about. A transparent internal company culture committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion (see: https://ra.co/about/diversity ). Active involvement in community projects within the electronic music community (see: https://ra.co/about/community ). More about RA We are independent and we intend to stay that way. 25 years in, RA answers to the culture it came from rather than to outside stakeholders. That is what enables us to make decisions on a long-term basis. Our staff, contributors and international teams are not observers. They are part of the scenes we cover, and that is what we hire for. Craft first, and then a genuine stake in this music rather than just a job in it. RA has been B Corp certified since 2024, which holds us to standards on social and environmental impact we would want to meet regardless of the badge. We especially welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, abilities, ethnicities, experiences, gender identities, and sexual orientations. Our values Electronic music is art. We celebrate the progressive values that underpin electronic music. We advocate for a more inclusive and equitable electronic music community. We honour the past, present and future of electronic music. We use innovation to empower the community. We choose honesty over gain and purpose over profit. We're always front left. Listing details This role is a full-time, permanent position, based in Berlin. Please note: this position requires applicants to be based in Berlin and to work from the office three days per week. The annual salary range for this role is €60,000 to €72,000. If you have questions about the role, please contact Find Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
