Senior Data Center Hardware Engineer
Full TimeOn-siteSenior
pythonbashjiralinuxconcretemanufacturing+1

About Mistral Mistral provides full-stack AI solutions: from frontier models to developer tools, applications, and compute. We partner with enterprises tackling the hardest problems across high-stakes industries like finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector, co-creating customized AI systems that they can run on their terms. We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about AI and its potential to transform society. Our diverse workforce thrives in competitive environments and is committed to driving innovation. Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited. The mission You will be the reference point for the most complex hardware interventions across our sites. Mistral's compute is our largest investment and the foundation of frontier AI in Europe. As a Senior Data Center Hardware Engineer (L4-L5) , you own the interventions that require the highest level of technical expertise: multi-node failures in production, full-rack deployments of GPU-dense systems, and vendor escalations where you speak as the technical authority for our sites. You'll work end-to-end — compute, storage, interconnect, power and cooling interfaces — across our data center footprint, raising the bar on reliability as our capacity grows. This is a hands-on senior IC role: deep technical leadership and mentorship, no direct line management. Location: Based at one of our data centers in the Paris region, with occasional visits to our other sites as needed. What you'll do Lead complex interventions — vendor-level and multi-node operations in production: full rack builds and bring-up, GPU-dense platform deployment (H100/H200-class and next-gen, including liquid-cooled racks), intricate recabling, post-restart diagnosis. You own the plan, the risk assessment, and the rollback. Own vendor management — coordinate repairs, part replacements and escalations directly with hardware vendors; hold them to their SLAs; drive proactive fixes from failure trends. Diagnose at depth — correlate symptoms across compute, storage, interconnect and cooling; read BMC/IPMI consoles, OS logs and crash dumps; methodical root-cause analysis that ends in concrete corrective actions. Deploy and validate — structured bring-up and validation of new racks and platforms; work with networking and infrastructure teams to take installations from delivery to production-ready. Lift the team — mentor and pair with L1–L3 engineers on live operations; turn your knowledge into SOPs, checklists and training material; propose and build small automation (Python/Bash) to shorten MTTR. Work the facility interface — partner with critical facilities/engineering ops on power, cooling (air and liquid), PDU and monitoring (BMS/EPMS) boundaries; enforce ESD/LOTO/PPE and audit-ready change discipline everywhere. Own spares & reliability — plan spares strategy, track fleet failure trends, and run proactive vendor actions before incidents happen. About you 6+ years in data center / server hardware or L2/L3 hardware support, including complex hands-on work in production environments (HPC/AI/cloud at scale strongly preferred). End-to-end hardware expertise: CPU/memory/PCIe (incl. accelerators), NICs, PSUs, drives, network, power and cooling interfaces (DLC included); strong judgment on when and how to escalate. Diagnostics depth: confident with BMC/IPMI logs, Linux logs and CLI checks; structured root-cause analysis. Deployment experience: you've taken racks from delivery to production, with concrete examples to show for it. Vendor fluency: you've managed hardware vendors — RMAs, field replacements, escalations — to concrete outcomes. Impeccable safety and discipline: ESD/LOTO/PPE without exception; clean, labeled, auditable work. Communication & mentoring: clear status updates and handovers; able to coach engineers during live incidents with composure. Mobility: willing to visit our other sites in the Paris region as needed. Nice to have GPU-dense platform experience: NVIDIA H-series (H100/H200) or GB-series rack deployments. High-speed interconnects (InfiniBand/RoCE), RAID/storage (NVMe/SAS/SATA), vendor tooling (iDRAC/iLO/IPMI). Automation (Python/Bash) for ops tooling and reporting; ticketing (Jira/ServiceNow), inventory/RMA flows. Hardware qualification, burn-in or factory validation background. Senior E/E Engineer EMC and Compliance, UGV Platforms (m/f/d)
Full TimeOn-siteSenior
pythonmatlabmanufacturingsix sigmaelectrical engineeringhigh voltage+4

Quantum Systems is a leading European deep-tech company for unmanned systems across air, land and maritime domains. We develop and scale integrated hardware, software and AI-powered solutions for mission-critical operations. By combining autonomous platforms with intelligent software and AI, Quantum Systems enables customers to operate, understand and act across domains. Join Quantum-Systems and help bring autonomous ground systems into real world operations. As Senior E/E Engineer EMC and Compliance, you will own electromagnetic compatibility across our UGV platforms, starting with our Mandrill UGV: from the grounding and shielding concept on the drawing board to the certificate that puts our vehicles on public roads and into military service. Your goal is one robust E/E design baseline that passes civil homologation (UN ECE R10) and military qualification (MIL-STD-461, AECTP 500) without costly redesign loops. This is a senior engineer role with real ownership and room to grow. You build our EMC capability from the ground up, set the strategy, decide early in the design, and lead campaigns through to certification. You will work at the intersection of high power electronics, vehicle E/E, radios and mission payloads, autonomy compute, suppliers, test houses and authorities. As the platform family and team grow, this role can develop into leading our EMC and compliance function. What is your Day to Day Mission: EMC Strategy and Compliance Ownership Define and own the EMC and E3 compliance strategy for our UGV platforms, covering civil vehicle approval (UN ECE R10, E mark for vehicle and ESA) and military qualification (MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-464, AECTP 500 / AECTP 250, MIL-STD-1275). Translate customer, NATO and national requirements into an EMC control plan, requirement matrix and test strategy, and keep them current as configurations evolve. Act as the technical interface to accredited test houses, technical services, type approval authorities and defence customers during qualification and acceptance. EMC by Design Develop and integrate the grounding, bonding, shielding and harness concept for the complete vehicle, with special focus on high voltage and high power electronics: traction inverters, DC/DC converters, battery systems and chargers together with outstanding team of engineers Run EMC design reviews for schematics, PCBs, harnesses, enclosures and connectors; specify filters, transient protection and shielding concepts. Manage RF coexistence on a dense platform: datalinks, GNSS, tactical radios and payload emitters working side by side without degrading each other. Flow down EMC requirements to suppliers, run component level reviews and assess their test evidence. Test, Troubleshooting and Qualification Build our in house pre compliance lab (LISN, spectrum analyser, near field probes, current clamps, automated measurement scripts) so issues are found on the bench, not in the chamber. Plan, witness and lead full compliance campaigns at component, subsystem and vehicle level; drive root cause analysis and verified fixes when tests fail. Use simulation (e.g. FEKO, CST, LTspice) where it saves test iterations. Cross Functional Collaboration and Standards Work closely with payload integration, vehicle E/E, mechanical, autonomy and manufacturing teams so EMC is built in, not bolted on. Create EMC control plans, test procedures, reports and qualification evidence, and turn lessons learned into internal EMC design rules for every future platform and payload. What you bring to the team: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics or a comparable technical field. 8+ years of EMC experience in automotive, commercial vehicle, rail, aerospace or defence , including ownership of at least one product through formal qualification or type approval. Deep knowledge of automotive EMC (e.g. UN ECE R10, CISPR 25, ISO 11452, ISO 7637, ISO 10605) and working knowledge of military EMC (MIL-STD-461; ideally MIL-STD-464, AECTP 500, DEF STAN 59-411 or VG 95370/95373). Strong automotive profiles willing to extend into the military world are very welcome. Solid experience with EMC of high voltage and power electronics systems. Practical measurement expertise at component and vehicle level, and the ability to set up and automate test systems (e.g. Python, Matlab). Structured root cause analysis, ideally backed by methods such as Six Sigma, and audit ready documentation. Confident communication with engineers, suppliers, test labs, authorities and military customers. Fluent in German and English. High ownership, focus on teamwork, pragmatic, and happy to work directly on vehicles and in the workshop. Your Benefits: Direct impact: See your contributions rapidly integrated from cutting-edge research into industrialized products, flying in the field within short development cycles. Culture & Environment: A dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative startup environment with flat hierarchies, efficient collaboration, and a strong emphasis on continuous learning opportunities. Work-life Balance: We offer flexible work schedules, and 30 days of paid vacation each year to support your personal and professional life. Lunch Benefit: We promote healthy eating and the well-being of our employees with a monthly lunch budget. Health & Wellness: We support your physical well-being with a company-subsidized eGym Wellpass membership, giving you access to thousands of gyms and sports facilities. Today, we serve millions of users and thousands of businesses - from fast-growing startups to large enterprises like Deutsche Telekom and Meta. Our investors are some of the world's most prominent, including Andreessen Horowitz, ICONIQ Growth and Sequoia. We've raised $781M in funding and our last valuation was $22B - multiples of 11, always. We have expanded from voice into three main platforms: ElevenAgents enables businesses to deliver seamless and intelligent customer experiences, with the integrations, testing, monitoring, and reliability necessary to deploy voice and chat agents at scale. ElevenCreative empowers creators and marketers to generate and edit speech, music, image, and video across 70+ languages. ElevenAPI gives developers access to our leading AI audio foundational models. Everything we do is the result of the creativity and commitment of our team - builders doing the best work of their lives. We are researchers, engineers, and operators. IOI medalists and ex-founders. If you want to work hard and create lasting positive impact, we want to hear from you. How we work High-velocity: Rapid experimentation, lean autonomous teams, and minimal bureaucracy. Impact not job titles: We don't have job titles. Instead, it's about the impact you have. No task is above or beneath you. AI first: We use AI to move faster with higher-quality results. We do this across the whole company—from engineering to growth to operations. Excellence everywhere: Everything we do should match the quality of our AI models. Global team: We prioritize your talent, not your location. What we offer Innovative culture: You'll be part of a generational opportunity to define the trajectory of AI, surrounded by a team pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Growth paths: Joining ElevenLabs means joining a dynamic team with countless opportunities to drive impact - beyond your immediate role and responsibilities. Learning & development : ElevenLabs proactively supports professional development through an annual discretionary stipend. Social travel : We also provide an annual discretionary stipend to meet up with colleagues each year, however you choose. Annual company offsite: Each year, we bring the entire team together in a new location - past offsites have included Croatia and Italy. Co-working : If you're not located near one of our main hubs, we offer a monthly co-working stipend. About the role The ElevenLabs Impact Program exists to democratize access to our technology and make AI work for all people, supporting for-good use cases across healthcare, education, and culture. Today, some of our work includes providing free and discounted access to nonprofits, partnering with university professors to bring voice AI into the classroom and the research lab, and working to restore the voices of one million people living with permanent voice loss through our 1 Million Voices initiative (learn more at elevenlabs.io/impact ). We're looking for a Producer to own the external storytelling and event presence for Impact, a role that coordinates PR, agency management, social launches, documentary-style case studies, and event production. This is a hands-on, in-house role: you're the person who makes sure every launch, film, and activation meets (or, ideally raises) the bar of the rest of the company's output, working closely with our internal Design, Comms, and Events teams, and, when applicable, with the external agencies and production teams supporting PR, film, and creative execution. As Impact's first dedicated producer, you'll build the production and launch engine for a team whose external footprint is scaling fast, this quarter alone includes 5+ events, six documentaries in production, two live ElevenLabs Summit sessions, a partner launch every month, and several more case studies in flight. What you'll do Coordinate production of Impact's documentary case studies: travel and work onsite for filming when needed, work closely with external production and direction teams, bringing opinions on story and craft, and partner with our Design team to make sure every film meets ElevenLabs' bar and brand guidelines. Plan and execute Impact's conferences and activations alongside the Events team, turning each one into an in-person moment that drives real ROI and leaves a lasting impression, with Impact's own storytelling angle built in. Support Comms in telling Impact's story through PR, coordinating with Comms and, when applicable, a PR agency to keep press windows and partner announcements on track, and helping make sure Impact's international stories get told well as the program expands globally. Partner with Design to keep all video and static collateral on-brand, advocating for a high creative standard and Impact's lens. Carry a consistent visual and narrative thread across launches, blog content, and ElevenLabs Summit presentations. Draft copy for social and blog content, collaborating with Comms to land a final draft, and with Design on all launch-related visual assets. Manage multiple concurrent launches, shoots, and events at once. Requirements A great project manager with a sharp creative eye, someone who runs cross-functional logistics flawlessly, has real taste, and will push the team to hit it. Organized and detail-oriented, with a track record of juggling several production timelines at once. Creative or production background (agency, marketing, in-house brand/content team, documentary or branded content) comfortable being on set and in the room with Design, not just commissioning the work. Strong writing and visual taste; can tell when something is on-brand and polish-worthy. 2-5 years of experience in production, events, or brand marketing. Comfortable traveling for shoots and events. #LI-Remote We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, disability or other legally protected statuses.
