VML, part of WPP, supports WPP Enterprise Solutions by helping brands activate transformation through creativity and experience. About the role WPP Enterprise Solutions in Amsterdam is the central hub for SEO and GEO expertise across the WPP network. From our team, we work with major national and international organisations on complex challenges across search, websites, digital platforms and AI-driven discovery. Our team currently consists of ten SEO and GEO specialists and is growing rapidly. We are therefore looking for a Senior Technical SEO Specialist to strengthen our technical capabilities. This is explicitly not a traditional SEO role with some technical SEO added on top. We are looking for someone who approaches SEO from a technical perspective. Someone who understands how websites, platforms, JavaScript frameworks, crawlers, rendering, APIs and search engines interact, and who can independently investigate and solve complex technical problems. You are comfortable working with SEO specialists, developers, solution architects, product teams and other technical stakeholders. You are able to go deep into the technology when needed, while also translating complex findings into clear priorities, recommendations and implementations for enterprise clients. What you will do As a Senior Technical SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for the technical quality and scalability of our SEO solutions. You will work on complex websites and digital ecosystems where standard SEO checklists are simply not enough. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting advanced technical SEO audits for large and complex websites, platforms and international domain structures. Analysing crawling, indexing and rendering to identify the root causes of technical SEO and indexation issues. Working with modern JavaScript frameworks and rendering architectures, including SSR, CSR, SSG and hybrid rendering. Analysing HTML, JavaScript, HTTP requests, response headers, status codes, redirects, canonicalisation and robots directives. Investigating and optimising crawl architecture, internal linking and information architecture for websites with hundreds of thousands or millions of URLs. Advising on complex technical challenges involving migrations, replatforming, URL structures, faceted navigation, pagination, internationalisation and hreflang. Performing log file analysis to understand how Googlebot and other crawlers interact with websites and to improve crawl efficiency. Developing scripts, tooling and automation that make recurring analyses faster, more reliable and more scalable. Reviewing technical solutions, specifications and implementations from an SEO perspective before they go live. Working closely with developers and engineering teams to translate SEO recommendations into clear technical requirements and tickets. The technical expertise we are looking for For this role, we are looking for someone whose technical capabilities go well beyond using standard SEO tools. You have a strong understanding of: HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and can independently analyse source code and identify technical issues. HTTP and web architecture, including requests and responses, status codes, caching, redirects, headers and CDN behaviour. JavaScript SEO and the implications of client-side and server-side rendering for crawling, rendering and indexing. Technical concepts such as SSR, CSR, SSG, hydration and dynamic rendering. Crawling and indexing, and how search engines technically process websites. txt, XML sitemaps, canonical tags, meta robots, X-Robots-Tag and other crawling and indexing directives. Structured data and Schema.org. Core Web Vitals and web performance. International websites, hreflang and complex multi-market architectures. Website and platform migrations. Crawl budget and scalable website architectures. You do not need to be a software engineer in every area. However, we do expect you to be comfortable reading code, manipulating data, working with APIs and building scripts or technical solutions when needed. What seniority means to us Being senior means more than being able to independently deliver a technical SEO audit. We expect you to be able to break down complex technical problems where there is no obvious answer. You combine experience, data and technical knowledge to define your own investigative approach and develop solutions that can realistically scale within enterprise organisations. You will also: Proactively improve the way we work, using tooling and AI to increase efficiency, quality and impact. Make significant improvements to our SEO guidelines, workflows and processes. Develop innovative solutions to complex SEO challenges, including algorithm changes, large-scale site architecture, crawling and automation. Build frameworks, templates, scripts and automations that can be adopted across multiple clients and projects. Independently develop new approaches for challenges where no standard solution exists. What you'll need: 10+ years of experience in Technical SEO, with a strong track record of solving complex technical SEO challenges for large-scale, international and/or enterprise websites. Currently based in the Netherlands and able to work from our WPP office in Amsterdam. Deep technical knowledge of how modern websites are built, crawled, rendered and indexed, including strong expertise in HTML, JavaScript, HTTP, web architecture and rendering technologies. Strong experience working with l arge and complex website architectures, including crawling and indexation, faceted navigation, internationalisation, migrations, internal linking and crawl budget optimisation. Lead AI Engineer
EnjinsAmsterdam, Netherlands12 days ago
Full TimeOn-siteLead
goawsazuregcpdockerkubernetes+10

We are AI builders Since 2018, Enjins has done one thing: ship AI that works in production. From Utrecht and Berlin, we build machine learning systems, data infrastructure, and agentic AI layers for European tech companies, with a deliberate focus on climate and energy, where we believe the biggest technological shift of our generation should meet its most critical challenge. We embed directly with the engineering teams of high-growth scale-ups like Crisp, PlanBlue, NextSense, and Groendus. We take ownership of the full technical lifecycle: from first architecture decision to a production-grade system running inside our partner's infrastructure, long after go-live. The role As Lead AI Engineer, you are the technical owner of client engagements. You architect the solution, ship it to production, and make sure it still performs a year later. Alongside the other Leads, you shape the engineering team and the way we build. In practice: Design AI roadmaps with client leadership and own them through to production Create and implement the AI solution architectures to deliver on those roadmaps Set and uphold Data Platform and MLOps standards across your client portfolio, so systems stay healthy after handover Mentor engineers and weigh in on hiring, team growth, and accounts Push our engineering practice forward, including how we use agentic coding workflows to build faster without compromising reliability. We test, document, and share what works, so the whole team levels up Elevate our product mindset to ensure we build the right things, not just more things Why a Lead role here, not somewhere else You'll work across more stacks, clouds, and frontier frameworks in a year than most engineers see in five, with the collective knowledge of the whole team behind you, not the isolation of freelance work. And because our clients build grid software, energy forecasting, and climate infrastructure, you develop real domain expertise in energy and climate systems on top of production-grade AI engineering. In your first months you'll join a client project alongside an experienced Enjins engineer, supported by a dedicated coach. Within half a year, you own the technical roadmap of at least one engagement, mentor engineers, and have a recognised voice in our Asset strategy. Requirements What matters most: you think in systems, own outcomes end-to-end, and grow the people around you. 5+ years building and scaling data & AI solutions in production environments Strong software engineering fundamentals: you write production-grade code and know your way around infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, data pipelines) Mastery of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience leading MLOps/LLMOps architectures Proven experience taking LLM-based or agentic systems to production Experience mentoring engineers, overseeing delivery, and managing client accounts You can translate technical complexity into clear decisions for non-technical stakeholders Fluent in English and eligible to work in the Netherlands Benefits We publish our salary ranges and keep terms straightforward. Addepar supports clients worldwide with offices in New York City, Salt Lake City, São Paulo, London, Edinburgh, Geneva, Warsaw, Dubai, Pune and Singapore. The Role The Applied AI team works embedded with Addepar's strategic clients to figure out where AI can change how they work and then build those capabilities from scratch. You'll spend time understanding a client's world, identify what's worth building, prototype it, prove it works, and then partner with core engineering teams to ship it as product for all customers. As an Applied AI Engineer, you'll build agentic systems from idea through production. The work starts with understanding the problem well enough to know what to build, then moves fast through prototyping and iteration. You'll design agent behavior, wire up tool integrations, tune evaluations until the AI actually works in practice. You'll sit close to the people who use what you build, and that feedback loop is how both the product and your skills grow fast. The team is new. Your work shapes what we ship. This role may require occasional work outside standard business hours to accommodate client time zones and up to 15% travel to client sites, including occasional overnight and multi-day engagements. What You'll Do Build AI-powered agents and tools end-to-end: identify the problem with clients and domain experts, prototype quickly, evaluate rigorously, and ship to production Design and implement LLM integrations including prompt engineering, function calling, structured outputs, and retrieval-augmented workflows Define evaluation criteria and build test harnesses for AI systems where correctness is ambiguous and domain-specific Work directly with clients to understand their workflows, validate AI behavior, and iterate toward production quality Partner with core engineering teams to generalize client-specific work into product features Contribute to shared AI infrastructure (agent frameworks, tool integrations, deployment pipelines) Monitor and maintain production AI systems with attention to reliability, cost, and performance Who You Are Extensive professional software engineering experience Professional experience with Python (the team's primary language) Experience working with LLM APIs (Claude, GPT, or similar) including function calling and structured outputs Comfort with SQL for data exploration and building data-grounded AI workflows Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex, or similar) You've built something from zero to one. You're drawn to figuring out what to build, not just building what's specified. A bias for action. You ship quickly, learn from feedback, and iterate. You see projects through from prototype to production and care about what the client experiences, not what the code does BS/MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent experience Nice to Have Experience building agentic systems (multi-step tool use, agent orchestration, durable workflows) Experience with additional backend languages (Java is valuable in our environment) Familiarity with financial data (portfolios, transactions, securities, accounting) Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS) and container-based deployments Experience with evaluation frameworks or methodologies for measuring AI system quality Our Values Act Like an Owner - Think and operate with intention, purpose and care. Own outcomes. Build Together - Collaborate to unlock the best solutions. Deliver lasting value. Champion Our Clients - Exceed client expectations. Our clients' success is our success. Drive Innovation - Be bold and unconstrained in problem solving. Transform the industry. Embrace Learning - Engage our community to broaden our perspective. Bring a growth mindset. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working closely with product, design, and engineering stakeholders. A pragmatic approach to software engineering, balancing technical excellence with delivering value to customers. Find Jobs in United Kingdom on Arbeitnow
