Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables everyone to find the answers they need in real time, using all their data, at scale — unleashing the potential of businesses and people. The Elastic Search AI Platform, used by more than 50% of the Fortune 500, brings together the precision of search and the intelligence of AI to enable everyone to accelerate the results that matter. By taking advantage of all structured and unstructured data — securing and protecting private information more effectively — Elastic's complete, cloud-based solutions for search, security, and observability help organizations deliver on the promise of AI. What is The Role Elastic, makers of the hugely popular open source products Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, and Beats, is growing very fast and so is our marketing team. As a key member of the Marketing AI, Operations and Automation team, you will play a hands-on, critical role in designing and building the automation infrastructure that powers marketing at scale. From connecting systems via APIs and webhooks to calling AI models for reasoning within live workflows, you will be the technical builder behind how marketing teams work smarter and move faster. Elastic is looking for a flexible and adaptable person with the ability to manage a variety of integration and automation challenges across a modern marketing tech stack. This is an ideal position for a self-motivated individual who has hands-on experience with no-code platforms and system integrations, is comfortable working directly with APIs and LLMs, and has the ability to work in a fast-paced, distributed environment. What You Will Be Doing Design and build automated marketing workflows using no-code and low-code platforms, connecting tools across the marketing tech stack so data flows reliably between systems without manual intervention. Integrate marketing platforms, AI content tools, and third-party services via APIs and webhooks, handling authentication, error states, and data formatting across each connection. Work with AI models and generative AI platforms to build structured, repeatable workflows that produce consistent outputs at scale, configuring prompts and agent behaviour at the system level. Call LLM APIs to trigger AI reasoning within workflows, constructing prompts programmatically, handling model responses, and routing outputs back to connected systems Gather requirements from marketing teams across functions and translate them into workflow specifications, identifying opportunities for reuse and cross-team impact over single-team solutions. Own the reliability and maintainability of the workflows you build, writing documentation clear enough for non-technical stakeholders to understand what runs, why, and how. Evaluate new tools and integration patterns as the marketing tech stack evolves, recommending additions based on technical fit and organisational need. Collaborate with operations, regional marketing, content, demand generation, and other marketing teams to understand where automation removes friction and build accordingly. What You Bring 4+ years in marketing operations, marketing technology engineering, or a closely adjacent technical role focused on integrations and automation. Hands-on experience building multi-step workflows using no-code or low-code platforms such as Workfront Fusion, Zapier, Make, or n8n in a production environment. Practical experience working with APIs and webhooks: constructing authenticated requests, reading API documentation, handling errors, and passing data between systems reliably. Experience connecting marketing platforms (Workfront, Marketo, Google Workspace, or similar) to external tools and services through system-level integrations. Experience working with at least one AI model or generative AI platform in a workflow or integration context, including configuring system-level prompts and handling structured outputs. Experience calling LLM APIs to trigger AI reasoning within a workflow, including constructing prompts programmatically, handling responses, and routing outputs back to connected systems. Ability to gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders and convert them into buildable workflow specifications. Strong written documentation habits, with the ability to make complex automation logic understandable to others. Experience working across globally distributed teams spanning multiple time zones. Preferred experience with Workfront, Zapier, Marketo, Adobe Fusion, Google Suite. Bonus Points Google Apps Script, JavaScript, or Python for cases where no-code tools reach their limits. Additional Information - We Take Care of Our People As a distributed company, diversity drives our identity. It doesn't matter if you're just out of college or your children are; we need you for what you can do. We strive to have parity of benefits across regions and while regulations differ from place to place, we believe taking care of our people is the right thing to do. Competitive pay based on the work you do here and not your previous salary Health coverage for you and your family in many locations Ability to craft your calendar with flexible locations and schedules for many roles Generous number of vacation days each year Increase your impact - We match up to $2000 (or local currency equivalent) for financial donations and service Up to 40 hours each year to use toward volunteer projects you love Embracing parenthood with minimum of 16 weeks of parental leave Different people approach problems differently. Cloudflare was named to Entrepreneur Magazine's Top Company Cultures list and ranked among the World's Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company. At Cloudflare, we're not looking for people who wait for a polished roadmap; we're looking for the builders who see the cracks in the Internet that everyone else has simply learned to live with. We value candidates who have the instinct to spot a "normalized" problem and the AI-native curiosity to create a solution using the latest tools. Our culture is built on iteration, leveraging AI to ship faster today to make it better tomorrow, while ensuring that every improvement, no matter how small, is shared across the team to lift everyone up. If you're the type of person who values curiosity over bureaucracy, and that AI is a partner in solving tough problems to keep the Internet moving forward, you'll fit right in. Available Locations: Austin, Texas  About Us At Cloudflare, we have our eyes set on an ambitious goal: to help build a better Internet. Today the company runs one of the world's largest networks that powers approximately 25 million Internet properties, for customers ranging from individual bloggers to SMBs to Fortune 500 companies. Cloudflare protects and accelerates any Internet application online without adding hardware, installing software, or changing a line of code. Cloudflare was named to Entrepreneur Magazine's Top Company Cultures list and ranked among the World's Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company.  We realize people do not fit into neat boxes. We are looking for curious and empathetic individuals who are committed to developing themselves and learning new skills, and we are ready to help you do that. We cannot complete our mission without building a diverse and inclusive team. We hire the best people based on an evaluation of their potential and support them throughout their time at Cloudflare. Come join us!  About the team   You will be part of the Strategy  Data and Analytics team within Cloudflare's Infrastructure Strategy department. The Strategy team focuses on building both external and internal relationships that allow for Cloudflare to scale and reach user populations around the world. You will be successful in this role if you bring a structured approach while remaining practical and hands-on. You should be comfortable working through ambiguity, reconciling imperfect data, asking thoughtful questions, and communicating a concise answer. Improve recurring workflows using spreadsheets, SQL, AI tools, lightweight automation, and clear documentation; help maintain trusted data and controls. Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience Approximately 2-4 years of experience in management consulting, business operations, strategic finance, analytics, supply chain, or another quantitatively rigorous role. Strong structured problem-solving skills: you can break an unclear question into testable components, identify the important drivers, and synthesize a practical answer. Experience with, or strong interest in, product economics, deal modeling, cost allocation, pricing, or margin analysis. Comfort working with quantitative data in spreadsheets; experience with SQL, data visualization, or financial and operational modeling is helpful, or you are motivated to learn. Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to turn detailed analysis into concise materials for executive audiences. Strong project-management habits, attention to detail, and the persistence to follow issues across multiple teams and systems to resolution. Curiosity about internet infrastructure, hardware, AI Infrastructure, capacity planning, and economics; prior infrastructure experience is welcome but not required. You're energized by our opportunity: The vision we have to digitize large sectors of the global economy requires your full focus and best efforts to bring forth creative, ambitious ideas for our customers. You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together and support each other. You will be surrounded by a high-calibre team that will encourage you to do your best.  In this role, you will: Partner on defining the strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for MDA's data and AI foundation. Architect and own Samsara's marketing data infrastructure: ETL/ELT pipelines, Databricks Gold Layer tables, and the core data models that power segmentation, targeting, automation, and analytics. Design the semantic layers, data dictionaries, and structured documentation that enable self-serve BI and conversational analytics, partnering with the BI team to ensure core sales and marketing KPIs are built on trusted, well-modeled data. Translate ambiguous business questions from Marketing, Sales, and R&D into clear requirements and scalable solutions, working autonomously without dedicated PM support and influencing decisions with data and sound reasoning. Lead complex, cross-team initiatives end to end: stand up new data pipelines and integrations quickly, manage risk across interdependent teams, and own the reliability and data quality of what ships. Serve as the senior technical lead for the team's hardest problems: raise the bar for engineering quality and code review, remove bottlenecks that slow multiple teams, and mentor engineers and analysts.  Drive the strategic use of AI to solve ambiguous, high-impact problems: build AI-enabled data products and agents, with the integrations, retrieval pipelines, and evaluation practices that keep them reliable and trustworthy. Identify and automate manual workflows with AI across Marketing and GTM teams, taking ideas from concept to prototype to production and influencing org roadmaps. Ship high-quality Python and SQL, increasingly by directing agentic coding tools, while holding a high bar for reviewing and verifying AI-generated work before it reaches production. Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices. Minimum requirements for the role: 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or AI engineering, including deep hands-on data engineering experience. Expert-level Python and SQL, with strong hands-on data modeling and DBT experience. Deep experience with data warehouse and lakehouse architectures, ETL/ELT, and the modern data stack, including hands-on Databricks (or similar, such as Snowflake or BigQuery). Experience building semantic layers and structured documentation optimized for AI ingestion and agentic workflows. Agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) are part of your regular workflow, and you verify and take ownership of AI-generated output. Experience building, shipping, evaluating, and monitoring LLM or agent systems in production. Track record of leading complex, cross-team data initiatives, including independent requirements gathering with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience supporting Marketing, Sales, or Product teams. An ideal candidate also has: Experience working with Databricks and building AI Agents within the ecosystem.  Software engineering background beyond data or AI engineering, with a track record of turning ambiguous, unfamiliar problems into well-architected, delivered solutions. Expertise in data visualization and building dashboards for sales and marketing KPIs. Familiarity with go-to-market data and systems: CRM (e.g., Salesforce), marketing automation, web analytics, and MarTech tools. Experience building interactive applications with Streamlit, Claude workflows, or web frameworks. Data science, machine learning, or predictive analytics experience. Comfort working in an exploratory environment, testing and iterating on new data sources and methodologies. The compensation range shown spans approved pay zones for this role.
