Staff Product Manager, Consumer Growth Loyalty
Full TimeFully RemotePrincipal$181,000 - $241,000 / Year
sqlrestdentalcompliancecomplianceonboarding+1

At Affirm, we exist for the moments that matter—giving people a clear, predictable way to pay over time, with no hidden fees, no surprises, and no tradeoffs on what matters most. About the Product team The Product team listens to our customers' needs and translates those insights into a clear product vision. The team works closely with design, engineering, and analytics to build scalable financial products that empower people to manage their money with confidence. We rely on empathy, curiosity, and business sense to prioritize features and improve experiences. Our role is to lead with clarity, support cross-functional execution, and champion the user in every decision. About the role Millions of people use the Affirm Card, but we don't yet give them a reason to keep coming back beyond the product itself. You'll build our consumer loyalty program from scratch: what people earn, how they move up, and why Affirm becomes their default way to pay. What you'll do Own the vision and roadmap for Affirm's consumer loyalty program, setting the hypotheses, success metrics, and sequencing across multiple quarters Launch the first version of rewards and tiers, including earn mechanics, member benefits, redemption, and the surfaces that make the value obvious in app, at checkout, and after a purchase Build the engagement loops (progress, milestones, personalized offers) that turn a one-time borrower into someone who reaches for Affirm every week Own the program economics: reward liability, funding mix across merchant-funded offers, interchange and network incentives, and the case for incremental GMV against cost per member Set up the measurement foundation for loyalty, including holdouts, incrementality testing and long-run LTV, then tune earn and burn rates and tier thresholds off what the data says Partner with Risk, Credit, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Marketing to design rewards that are compliant and clearly disclosed, with no hidden fees or fine print that surprises people Align senior stakeholders and pull together dependencies across Card, Shopping, Servicing and Marketing, leading embedded engineering and design pods through a lot of ambiguity What we look for 8+ years in Product Management, with a track record in consumer mobile apps, fintech, or neobanks Built or scaled a loyalty, rewards or engagement program: card rewards, points, tiers, subscription benefits, or something equivalent. You know earn and burn mechanics and what makes a program pay for itself History of launching products from scratch, not just optimizing what already exists Owned repeat usage, cohort retention or share of wallet as a primary metric, and know which levers actually move them Comfortable building the financial model yourself and defending reward cost, funding mix and payback to Finance and leadership Strong UX instincts and a high bar for design. You know the difference between a reward that feels good and a badge buried in a settings menu Deep fluency in experiment design, incrementality/attribution, and LTV measurement; data chops (SQL/Amplitude-level self-serve) and a bias for shipping, learning and iterating quickly Track record shipping consumer financial or regulated products; comfort partnering with Risk/Credit, Legal, and Compliance Excellent cross-functional leadership, including experience leading without authority AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and others to research, analyze and prototype, and help develop better product vision Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience   Base Pay Grade - P Equity Grade - 7 Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range . In addition, the employees may be eligible for equity rewards offered by Affirm Holdings, Inc. (parent company). Our Mission You call. You wait. You call again. In every other part of your life, you book in seconds. In healthcare, you're blocked.   We're here to give power to the patient.  For nearly 20 years, we've built the leading healthcare marketplace - helping tens of millions of people find and book the care they need. Now, we're going further: building our infrastructure beyond Zocdoc's marketplace to power access to care wherever patients search, from provider websites and insurance directories to search engines, AI platforms, and more. Healthcare still lacks something every other major consumer industry takes for granted: a seamless way to go from seeking to getting . We don't want to own the front door to care; there isn't one. If you're the type of person who values curiosity over bureaucracy, and that AI is a partner in solving tough problems to keep the Internet moving forward, you'll fit right in. Available Locations San Francisco, US We are only considering locally based candidates OR candidates looking to move to the Bay Area. Senior Customer Engineer - (AI & Start-Ups)  For San Francisco based hires: Estimated annual salary of   $213,500 – $335,500 OTE, Base + Commissions. About the Role Digital Native SEs at Cloudflare work with the most innovative and cutting-edge companies on the planet — the startups and high-growth, cloud-native businesses that are building the next generation of Internet products. These are companies where the developers  are  the decision makers, and where the CTO is often personally responsible for shipping new products and getting the company's AI initiatives off the ground. This role is for a technologist who genuinely enjoys being in the room with builders. You'll be equally comfortable jumping into a Slack channel with a founding engineer, whiteboarding an architecture with a lead developer, and stepping into a strategic conversation with a CTO about their platform and AI roadmap. You speak the language of engineers fluently and can hold a credible, detailed technical conversation — but this is  not  a software developer role, and you won't be writing production code every day. Your superpower is technical discovery, translation, and evangelism: understanding what a builder is trying to accomplish, mapping it to the full breadth of the Cloudflare Developer Platform, and inspiring teams to build on Cloudflare rather than just consume a single service. The Digital Native segment leans heavily on Solutions Engineering to lead technical discovery within the cloud-developer vertical. You'll be expected to go deep on the Cloudflare Developer Platform — Workers, Durable Objects, Workers AI, R2, KV, D1, Vectorize, Queues, Pages, and the broader developer ecosystem — far beyond basic storage, and to make the case for Cloudflare as  the  place to build. This role covers both the acquisition of new Digital Native accounts and the expansion of existing ones. The ideal candidate is a "builder" personality with a strong mix of pre-sales/technical customer-facing experience who thrives in an agile, fast-moving environment. What you'll do as a Senior Solutions Engineer The Pre-Sales Solution Engineering organization owns the technical sales of the Cloudflare solution portfolio, ensuring maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design and adoption roadmap for our customers. Solution Engineering is made up of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds including but not limited to Sales Consultants, Technical Consultants, Technical Support and Program Managers. You are a customer-facing technologist within the Cloudflare Solutions Engineering team, focused on the developer-first, digital-native segment. You have experience in a pre-sales or other technical customer-facing role, and you're at your best when engaging directly with engineering teams and technical founders. In this role you'll partner closely with the sales team from the very start of the cycle — joining early discovery calls, qualifying opportunities from the get-go, and embedding yourself in customer Slack channels and working sessions. You'll lead technical discovery, deliver compelling demos and architecture discussions, run proof-of-concept builds, and evangelize the Cloudflare Developer Platform as the foundation for our customers' next products and AI initiatives. Responsibilities Specifically, we are looking for you to: Lead technical discovery within the cloud-developer vertical — asking the right questions to uncover how a customer builds, what they're trying to ship, and where Cloudflare fits. Engage early and often: join sales-led discovery calls from the outset, help qualify deals from the get-go, and stay embedded with customer teams (including in their Slack channels and working sessions) throughout the cycle. Identify and map customer initiatives and business problems — especially around new product development and AI initiatives — to the Cloudflare platform. Build relationships and technical champions within customer accounts, from founding engineers and developers up to the CTO. Develop and present tailored technical content and demos for both hands-on developer audiences and senior technical leadership. Lead demo and proof-of-concept / build activities for Cloudflare prospects and customers. Evangelize the Cloudflare Developer Platform (Workers, Workers AI, Durable Objects, R2, D1, KV, Vectorize, Queues, Pages and more) — making the case for customers to  build on  Cloudflare, not just use it for storage or CDN. Demonstrate your expertise with your peers through the creation of professional content, including reference architectures, demos, blog posts and other knowledge-sharing activities. Represent and evangelize Cloudflare externally at Developer, Community, Technology and Industry events with thought leadership and expertise. Apply in-depth vertical knowledge or domain expertise. Advise on best practices. Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Previous experience as a Solutions Engineer or other customer-facing technical role, ideally selling to or working with developer-led, cloud-native, or startup organizations. A genuine "builder" mindset and the personality to match: you enjoy talking to developers, you're curious, and you naturally gravitate toward technical problem-solving conversations. The ability to speak engineers' language credibly — you can hold your own on architecture, APIs, and platform design —  without  this being a hands-on, code-every-day developer role. Strong technical discovery instincts: you know how to draw out requirements, qualify fit early, and separate real needs from noise. A good mix of pre-sales / technical sales experience and comfort operating in an agile, fast-moving environment (joining Slack channels, iterating quickly, engaging in early-stage calls, and qualifying deals from the start). Solid communication, written and presentation skills, with the range to talk to both a hands-on developer and a CTO in the same day. Ability to work on several projects and activities concurrently. Highly driven, curious, team-oriented, and able to work with a sense of urgency. You've built web applications before, or contributed to existing web applications in a meaningful way — enough to have real empathy for how developers work. Polished communication and executive presentation skills with the ability to drive a discussion with a broad range of stakeholders (from the web developer to the CTO/CISO). Relationship building: a proven track record of building deep technical relationships with engineers and technical founders. Experience managing various stakeholder relationships to build consensus on technical solutions/projects. Experience managing technical sales within accounts, including developing champion-style relationships, driving technical wins, and assisting with technical validation. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in relevant work experience. The role requires up to 50% travel to attend meetings with prospects or customers, attend conferences and other industry events, and to collaborate with your Cloudflare teammates. A deep understanding of the Cloudflare Developer Platform and core industry components (and a desire to learn more): The Cloudflare Developer Platform  — serverless compute and application development with Workers, Durable Objects, Workers AI, R2, KV, D1, Vectorize, Queues, and Pages. Familiarity with building or architecting applications on a serverless/edge platform is a strong plus. AI/GenAI application patterns — inference at the edge, RAG, vector databases, and how startups are operationalizing AI initiatives. HTTP technologies including reverse proxy (e.g., WAF and CDN), forward proxy (secure web gateway), and serverless application development. Internet security technologies including DDoS and DDoS mitigation, Firewalls, TLS, VPN, DLP. Networking technologies including TCP, UDP, DNS, IPv4 + IPv6, BGP routing, GRE, SD-WAN, MPLS, Global Traffic Management. Zero-trust network access (ZTNA & SASE) concepts including identity management and authentication. Cloud computing technologies such as AWS, GCP, Azure and others. Some scripting or programming familiarity with one or more of JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Golang, BASH — enough to read code, build a demo, and converse with engineers (not to ship production software). Understanding of, or experience with, regulatory requirements such as FedRAMP, GDPR, PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOC-2, ISO/IEC. An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. Reminder: this is not a strict requirement at all. Candidates from all walks of life are welcome. You can translate technical concepts and jargon for a wide variety of audiences: from systems engineers, to front-end developers, through to technical founders and C-levels. You want to be constantly learning new things and teaching what you've learned to the broader team through internal and external blog posts, team demos, and product training sessions. You have a knack for understanding problems and finding creative ways to solve them. Our product suite is ever-growing, and knowing how to identify which parts will solve a customer's particular problem is important. You understand how to manage a project, work to deadlines, and prioritize between competing demands. Compensation Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. For San Francisco based hires: Estimated annual salary of   $213,500 – $335,500 OTE, Base + Commissions. Equity This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare's equity plan.   About Gusto At Gusto, we're on a mission to grow the small business economy. We handle the hard stuff — payroll, health insurance, 401(k)s, and HR — so owners can focus on their craft and their customers. With teams in Denver, San Francisco, and New York, we support more than 500,000 small businesses nationwide and are building a workplace that reflects the people we serve. All full-time employees receive competitive base pay, benefits, and equity (RSUs) — because everyone who helps build Gusto should share in its success. Offer amounts are determined by role, level, and location. Learn more about our Total Rewards philosophy . AI is a fundamental part of how work gets done at Gusto. We expect all team members to actively engage with AI tools relevant to their role and grow their fluency as the technology evolves. AI experience requirements vary by role and will be assessed during the interview process. About the Role: As a Finance Intern on Gusto's Finance, BizOps & Strategy (FBOS) team, you'll spend 12 weeks working on real projects that shape how we run the business. You'll support leaders in Customer Experience, EPD, and Corporate Development, helping turn financial data into decisions about margin, cost to serve, and resourcing. Day to day, that means building financial reports, analyzing costs to find savings, and partnering with teams across Gusto on projects that move the team's roadmap forward. Along the way, you'll use AI tools and automation to work faster and go deeper than a traditional finance internship allows. You'll be paired with a dedicated mentor and a team manager who will support you from onboarding through your final presentation. By the end of the summer, you'll have seen firsthand how finance works as a true partner to the business. Please note: We'll be offering only one cohort start and end date (Cohort 1: May 17, 2027 - August 6, 2027). Deadline to Apply: Monday, October 26th at 4:00 pm PST About the Team: You'll join Gusto's Finance, BizOps & Strategy (FBOS) team, which provides financial, operational, and strategic support at the corporate, department, and product level as we scale to serve even more customers. Our partners sit directly inside business orgs like Customer Experience, EPD, and Corporate Development, translating financial data into operating decisions on margin, cost to serve, and resourcing. As Gusto evolves into an AI native company, we're using automation, predictive insights, and smarter data systems to define and defend our business model while accelerating growth. As a Finance Intern, you'll see firsthand how finance works as a true partner to the business rather than a back office function. Here's what you'll do day-to-day: Work cross-functionally on high-impact projects that use data, automation, and AI-powered tools Build and maintain recurring financial/operational reporting for your partner org Analyze cost or margin drivers and summarize findings for non-finance stakeholders Support a defined roadmap project end-to-end alongside your mentor Partner with CX/EPD/Corp Dev counterparts on data requests and ad hoc analysis Here's what we're looking for: Rising junior or senior (entering your 3rd or 4th year after this internship) Demonstrates genuine interest in financial trends, technology innovation, and applying classroom knowledge to real business challenges Comfortable working in Excel/Google Sheets; curious about how AI tools can speed up analysis work Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate findings clearly to non-finance stakeholders Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment Our cash compensation amount for this role is $32.70/hr for undergraduate students in Denver and $42.07/hr for undergraduate students in New York. At Gusto, we don't use titles the traditional way, as a signal of rank or hierarchy. Instead, our titles describe two things at once — your craft (what you do, e.g. Engineering, Design) and your scope of ownership (what you're accountable for) — which is why you'll see something like "Head of X" instead of a rank word like "Director" that tells you neither. Because of this, the title on this posting may look different from what you'd expect based on the scope and seniority of the role, and from how similar roles are typically titled elsewhere. If you have questions about how this role compares to your current title or level, your recruiter can help translate. Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale. Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.  When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required. This includes non-office days for hybrid employees. Reliable, consistent presence: We expect regular and predictable attendance, whether you're working in-office, hybrid, or fully remote, so that you stay closely connected to your team, customers, and stakeholders in real time and ensure colleagues and customers receive the timely support and responsiveness they deserve. Our customers come from all walks of life and so do we. We hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds, not just because it's the right thing to do, but because it makes our company stronger. If you share our values and our enthusiasm for small businesses, you will find a home at Gusto.  Gusto is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate in hiring or any employment decision based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, genetic information, veteran status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or other applicable legally protected characteristic. Gusto considers qualified applicants with criminal histories, consistent with applicable federal, state and local law. Gusto is also committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans in our job application procedures. We want to see our candidates perform to the best of their ability. If you require a medical or religious accommodation at any time throughout your candidate journey, please fill out this form and a member of our team will get in touch with you. Gusto takes security and protection of your personal information very seriously. Please review our Fraudulent Activity Disclaimer . Personal information collected and processed as part of your Gusto application will be subject to  Gusto's Applicant Privacy Notice .
