At Affirm, we exist for the moments that matter—giving people a clear, predictable way to pay over time, with no hidden fees, no surprises, and no tradeoffs on what matters most. About the Revenue Team: The Revenue team drives Affirm's growth by acquiring, retaining, and expanding merchant partnerships across eCommerce, in-store, telesales, and the Affirm app. The SMB Sales team focuses on bringing new merchants onto Affirm, building relationships with business owners and decision-makers, and demonstrating how Affirm's payment solutions can drive conversion, increase sales, and support business growth. Through strategic prospecting, consultative selling, and cross-functional collaboration, the team helps merchants unlock new opportunities while expanding Affirm's reach across the SMB market. About the Role: Affirm is seeking an experienced, quota-carrying Account Executive to own the full sales cycle for complex, high-growth merchants across the upper SMB and Mid-Market segment. This portfolio includes merchants with up to $300M in total annual sales and requires a seller who can operate as the general manager of a territory, create demand, engage executive decision-makers, build a quantified business case, structure a compelling commercial solution, and lead the opportunity through contract and launch. The Account Executive is accountable for new merchant acquisition and the long-term quality of each partnership. The role translates merchant priorities into solutions across Affirm's products and capabilities, while aligning internal stakeholders across Sales, Merchant Pricing, Product, Partnerships, Risk, Legal, Operations, Implementation, and Merchant Success. Success requires strategic prospecting, strong financial and commercial judgment, fluency in technical and operational requirements, and the ability to create momentum across complex buying groups. What You'll Do: Own a defined territory and revenue plan. Operate as the general manager of a portfolio that includes complex, high-growth merchants with up to $300M in total annual sales. Develop the account strategy, prioritization model, pipeline plan, and execution cadence required to achieve signed GMV and revenue targets. Generate and develop net-new pipeline. Research priority merchants, identify relevant business and market triggers, and use targeted outbound, partner channels, events, referrals, and internal resources to create qualified opportunities. Lead executive discovery. Engage founders, C-suite executives, and senior leaders across Finance, E-commerce, Product, Technology, Operations, and Marketing to understand strategic priorities, operating constraints, customer economics, and decision criteria. Set the strategy for complex opportunities. Independently determine the account plan, stakeholder engagement strategy, competitive positioning, internal resource requirements, negotiation posture, and path to close for each opportunity. Build quantified business cases. Translate merchant data and objectives into clear recommendations supported by expected conversion, average order value, customer acquisition, repeat purchase, GMV, revenue, unit economics, and operational impact. Design the merchant solution. Partner with Sales Engineering and Onboarding to define the appropriate product configuration, integration path, rollout strategy, and customer experience. Lead opportunities that may require customized payment configurations, e-commerce platform integrations, technical solutioning, or multi-entity implementation planning. Navigate complex buying processes. Build champions, map stakeholders, align economic buyers and technical evaluators, manage procurement, security, legal, and risk requirements, and establish a mutual action plan through decision and signature. Lead commercial negotiations. Develop deal strategy, position differentiated value, handle objections, and negotiate pricing, terms, and partnership structure. Evaluate merchant requirements against expected GMV, revenue, unit economics, implementation complexity, and risk while protecting Affirm's long-term financial interests. Develop recommendations for non-standard partnerships. Use sound commercial judgment to structure and present recommendations involving custom pricing, contractual terms, product requirements, implementation investments, or other exceptions requiring internal approval. Lead cross-functional deal teams. Lead virtual teams without direct authority by establishing clear owners, operating cadence, decision points, escalation paths, and timelines across Partnerships, Risk, Legal, Implementation, and Merchant Pricing. Own the path from signature to launch. Remain accountable for a successful handoff and project-manage critical launch dependencies so signed merchants progress efficiently toward integration and go-live. Maintain forecast and operating discipline. Keep Salesforce current, accurately assess deal stage and material risk, provide reliable weekly and quarterly forecasts, and communicate changes early with a clear recovery plan. Represent the market internally. Bring structured merchant, industry, and competitive insights to product and business partners, identify recurring barriers, and influence scalable improvements to Affirm's products and go-to-market motion. Raise team performance. Share effective account strategies, executive messaging, business cases, and deal practices. Contribute to a high-accountability culture focused on customer value, commercial discipline, and measurable outcomes. What We Look For: 4 or more years of quota-carrying, full-cycle closing experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, payments, e-commerce, or another complex technology environment. A demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and creating self-sourced pipeline in a new-logo acquisition role. Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and building relationships with executive and functional decision-makers. Strong consultative discovery, objection handling, negotiation, and closing skills, including the ability to establish a clear decision process and mutual action plan. Ability to analyze merchant and market data, develop a quantified business case, and communicate financial and strategic value with credibility. Experience coordinating legal, risk, technical, pricing, operational, and implementation stakeholders to resolve barriers and close business. Strong territory planning, pipeline management, CRM discipline, and forecasting capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive presentations and concise internal updates. High ownership, sound judgment, resilience, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-changing environment with multiple priorities. Nice to Have: Experience selling payment, lending, commerce, financial software, or other solutions that require technical integration and commercial structuring. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, APIs, payment flows, implementation requirements, and merchant economics. Experience using a structured sales methodology such as MEDDPICC, Challenger, or Sandler. Prior experience in business development or another role requiring high-volume prospecting and disciplined pipeline creation. Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. At Affirm, we exist for the moments that matter—giving people a clear, predictable way to pay over time, with no hidden fees, no surprises, and no tradeoffs on what matters most. About the Operations team The Operations team delivers seamless customer experiences and enables new product capabilities while ensuring operational excellence. The team owns strategy, planning, technical execution, customer service, fraud operations, process design, quality, training, and program management. We drive efficiency, resolve issues quickly, and scale operations as the business grows. Our goal is to deliver seamless support while maintaining high standards and reducing risk. About the role As we scale into new products, partners, geographies, and channels, we need an exceptional leader to own the strategy of how our servicing operating model evolves globally. In this role you'll set the customer operations strategy for a portfolio of complex, cross-functional expansion programs, lead a team of program and process managers, and be accountable for adapting the servicing model to new and differentiated products across markets. In addition, you will be the leader who represents operations across international business teams providing transparency into performance and partnering across product, engineering, and operations to help drive continuous improvement in service delivery for international customers. The ideal candidate pairs strong business acumen and judgment with the ability to lead teams, shape ambiguous problem spaces into clear operating plans, and influence senior partners across the company. A deep passion for growing international businesses and working to understand the localization needs for customer experience and being able to implement with scale and efficiency will be key. This role requires deep expertise in the customer/merchant servicing space and a strong grounding in financial services. You'll own a portfolio that spans a multitude of international servicing landscapes — launching, testing and learning in operations, and scaling geo expansions, new product scaling, and new channel expansion — and you'll build the standards, methods, and team that make those programs repeatable at global scale via playbooks. What You'll Do Own the strategy and roadmap for how Customer Operations scales to support global expansion — new products, merchants/partners, geo launches, and channels — translating ambiguous, undefined business direction into structured programs and clear operating plans. Establish and modify the team's operational objectives, policies, procedures, and work plans; define the methods, frameworks, and success criteria used to run initiatives across regions. Lead, coach, and develop a team spanning two or more disciplines (e.g., program management and service delivery via process/continuous improvement); oversee professionals and, where applicable, other people leaders; delegate assignments and ensure effective execution. Drive the strategy and success of large-scale, cross-area programs for operations— merchant/geo launches, automation and efficiency programs, new-product scaling — managing scope, schedule, budget, dependencies, and risk across a complex, multi-market servicing landscape. Partner in lock step with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Risk, Training, Knowledge, and Service Delivery leads to run cross-functional discovery and scoping, coordinate planning, and oversee dependencies through the full program lifecycle. Build alignment across mid- to senior-level leaders cross-functionally; influence outcomes in complex or sensitive situations while strengthening those relationships. Own portfolio-level governance (working groups, weekly/monthly business reviews) to drive awareness, issue resolution, and decision-making; be accountable for decisions that affect team, program, and overall business results over a medium-term (1yr+) horizon and that can carry company-wide effects. Own post-launch operational performance for the global international operations portfolio and set up rituals and roles to support global business teams with transparent performance and improvement plans across servicing and operations. Serve as a recognized subject-matter expert and thought leader on the global servicing operating model; build networks and represent Customer Operations on broader, organization-wide initiatives. Champion an analytical, data-driven culture within the team and across Product, Analytics, Engineering, and the broader business. Develop communication and change-management plans for the portfolio, and own the processes for logging and tracking risks, issues, actions, and dependencies. Represent the unique customer servicing needs of global customers at scale across core operations. What We Look For 12+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years leading teams and/or managing other managers or senior professionals. Experience building and scaling global customer experience operations and working in global environments across cultures and geographies. Deep program and process management expertise (PMP and/or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt a plus), with a track record of defining methods and standards — not just applying them. Broad, cross-disciplinary expertise and a strong understanding of how the wider organization and market operate, complemented by deep functional knowledge of customer care, fraud, and/or merchant operations (processes, systems, and key metrics). Strong knowledge of how shared services operate; experience in services, operations, and/or sales. Experience delivering programs across multiple geographies or markets strongly preferred; consumer lending or financial services background strongly preferred. Proven ability to work on unique, poorly defined problems that lack strategic direction — evaluating intangibles, applying conceptual thinking, and creating the approach and evaluation criteria. Demonstrated ability to influence and build alignment among diverse, senior stakeholders in complex or sensitive situations. Sound judgment to make discretionary decisions with significant latitude, balancing research, creativity, and business impact. Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, accountability, and results orientation, and a genuine enthusiasm for developing people and building new capabilities. About Mixpanel Mixpanel is the leading product intelligence and analytics platform, trusted by more than 29,000 companies to help understand how people use the products they build. By combining powerful analytics with AI that knows your business, Mixpanel helps teams see what's working, diagnose what's not, and decide what to build next. Learn more at mixpanel.com . About the Customer Digital Experience Team Customer Digital Experience sits within Customer Engineering, the technical arm of Mixpanel's Customer organization. A Our sharpest focus is the digital-only segment: thousands of companies with no proactive account coverage. Some have technical resources available to them, but that support is entirely reactive. It answers the ticket and solves the problem in front of it. Nobody is watching for the customer who implemented and then never built a report, or the account whose usage has been sliding for a month. Our job is to be proactive,, and everything we build should be as automated as possible, without a human initiating it. Our programs run across the full customer base and are not one-size-fits-all. We build flows that branch and adapt by segment, tuning the content, timing, and channel for who's receiving them. An onboarding flow for a digital-only customer carries the whole experience; the version reaching an account with a dedicated team is tuned to complement what that team is already doing. Same underlying program, deliberately different execution, continuously optimized based on what each segment responds to. We're close to the data and to the technical reality of how customers implement and use Mixpanel. We're not guessing at what customers are doing; we can see it, and we build against it. This is a small, new team standing up a new function. The playbook isn't written yet; we're writing it together. About the Role As our Digital Adoption & Lifecycle Manager, you'll own the communications that drive adoption, retention, and expansion across Mixpanel's customer base, with our digital-only customers as the sharpest test of whether the programs work. You'll design lifecycle programs triggered by real behavior: a team that just implemented but hasn't built their first report, an account whose query volume dropped for three straight weeks, a power user hitting the edge of their current plan. Then you'll write the emails and in-product messages that move them forward. This is a builder's role, not a maintainer's role. You'll define the segmentation, write the copy, set up the triggers, instrument the measurement, and then argue with the data about what to change. It's also a deeply collaborative one. You'll work hand in hand with our Customer Success Digital Programs Manager, sharing a roadmap and dividing the work. You'll partner with Marketing on the overall email calendar so our lifecycle sends and their campaigns aren't competing for the same inbox. You'll support adoption initiatives coming out of Product, turning a launch into something customers actually try. And you'll take cues from customer-facing teams about what's landing and what isn't. Very little of this job happens alone. You'll also help define what agentic customer success looks like at Mixpanel. The scaled programs we build today are rules and triggers; the ones we build next will involve AI agents that can interpret a customer's situation, decide what that customer needs, and act. We're early here and we don't have the answers. We want someone who is already experimenting, who already has opinions about where agents help and where they break trust, and who wants to shape how this gets built. If you like clean handoffs and finished systems, this isn't it. If you want to build the thing from zero and own the number it moves, read on. Responsibilities Build the lifecycle communication program end-to-end across onboarding, adoption, retention, and expansion, from strategy through copy, build, launch, and iteration Create programs that serve the full customer base while working hardest for digital-only customers, and decide where messaging should differ for accounts with a dedicated team Design behavior-based segmentation using product usage, health signals, lifecycle stage, and account attributes; define the triggers that decide who hears from us and when Write clear, useful customer-facing copy across email, in-product messaging, and other digital channels that reflects Mixpanel's voice and gives customers a reason to act Build and ship campaigns in tools like Customer.io, HubSpot, and Statisfy, including the audience logic, templates, and QA that keep them reliable Partner with Marketing on the shared email calendar, coordinating timing, frequency, and audience overlap so customers get a coherent experience instead of three messages in one week Support product-led adoption initiatives by translating launches and feature pushes into lifecycle moments that get customers to try the thing, and report back on whether they did Keep our library of lifecycle messaging current as the product changes, retiring what's stale and rewriting what no longer matches reality Define success metrics for every program, instrument them in Mixpanel, and run a regular reporting cadence on engagement, adoption lift, and downstream retention and expansion impact Run experiments on subject lines, timing, sequencing, channel mix, and audience definition, and kill what doesn't work Work with customer-facing teams to learn what resonates in conversations, translate it into programs that reach customers without proactive account teams, and make sure digital touches complement rather than collide with human ones Pilot agentic approaches to scaled customer success, where an AI agent can personalize a touchpoint, surface the right next action, or handle a customer interaction end-to-end, and develop a point of view on what should be automated, what should stay human, and how we'd know the difference Identify gaps in our data, tooling, and process, and propose what we should fix first. This program is new and the infrastructure is being built alongside it. We're Looking For Someone Who Is: Experienced in customer lifecycle communications, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment, focused on post-sale adoption, retention, and expansion rather than demand generation or pre-sales An excellent writer who can be concise, specific, and useful to a technical audience Hands-on with lifecycle and marketing automation platforms (Customer.io, HubSpot, Braze, Iterable, or similar); you build the campaign yourself, you don't hand off a brief Fluent in product analytics (Mixpanel or similar) and comfortable pulling your own data to define segments and measure results Familiar with customer success platforms (Statisfy, Gainsight, Totango, or similar) and how health signals and customer data feed scaled programming Strong at segmentation, able to reason about cohorts, behavioral triggers, and audience overlap, and knows when a segment is too small to matter Data-driven in practice, not just in principle; forms a hypothesis, measures the result, and changes course based on what the data actually says Comfortable being measured on business outcomes, not open rates alone. You've directly contributed to metrics like GRR, NRR, activation rate, and time to first value. Genuinely collaborative. You've coordinated a shared calendar with Marketing, taken input from customer-facing teams, and supported someone else's launch without needing it to be your project. Experienced working alongside customer-facing teams and comfortable earning their trust when your programs touch their customers Able to drive projects forward independently across teams, with the judgment to prioritize, make tradeoffs, and keep things moving without a defined playbook Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by building from the ground up Actively experimenting with agentic customer success. Not just using AI to draft copy, but thinking about where AI agents can take real action in the customer lifecycle. You've tried things, you've seen what falls over, and you have a point of view on what's ready and what isn't. We'll ask you what you've built or what you're ideating on. Using AI purposefully in your day-to-day: drafting and iterating on copy, analyzing campaign performance, scaling research and segmentation work Nice to Have Experience launching a scaled or digital customer success program at a company that didn't have one before Experience serving a long-tail or self-serve customer base where digital is the only channel available, alongside segments that have dedicated account teams Experience with in-product messaging tools and lifecycle orchestration beyond email Hands-on experience deploying an AI agent into a real customer-facing workflow, at any scale, including the ones that didn't work #LI-Remote Compensation The amount listed below is the total target cash compensation (TTCC) and includes base compensation and variable compensation in the form of either a company bonus or commissions. Our security team protects Asana's employees, users, and customers by proactively addressing threats and fostering a culture of security throughout our product and operations. We're looking for a Product Security Engineer to join our Product Security team in Vancouver. You'll be a key member of our security engineering team, partnering directly with product and infrastructure teams to ensure we design and ship secure software. You will be instrumental in scaling our security practices by building secure-by-default frameworks, eliminating entire classes of vulnerabilities, and championing a security-first mindset across our web, mobile, and AI-powered product surfaces. This role is based in our Vancouver office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Develop, implement, and maintain secure-by-default frameworks and libraries that empower engineering teams to build secure systems easily. Build and maintain automated security tooling (static and dynamic analysis rules, custom SAST/DAST checks, and automated red-teaming) to scale security coverage without scaling headcount. Identify and address AI-specific security risks such as prompt injection, insecure tool permissions, and abuse-resistant design in Asana's AI and agentic features. Triage, investigate, and drive remediation of vulnerabilities from our bug bounty program, internal testing, and automated security tooling. Influence engineering initiatives by conducting design and roadmap reviews, effectively communicating security constraints, and assisting teams in making informed trade-offs. Investigate product security incidents as a subject matter expert, using logs and monitoring tools to contain, analyze, and drive resolution. Evaluate and improve software supply chain security, including dependency management, SCA tooling, and third-party risk in the development pipeline. Develop and deliver training to educate engineers on secure coding best practices and emerging threats. Stay informed of industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices to ensure that Asana's security posture remains robust. Collaborate with teammates and stakeholders to develop both short-term and long-term strategies for risk management. About you Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making 5+ years of experience in application security, product security, or software engineering with a security focus. Strong software engineering background with experience in languages like Python, Javascript/Typescript or Scala. Deep working knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 and common web application vulnerabilities such as XSS, CSRF, SSRF, and SQL injection. Familiarity with AI/ML security concepts, including LLM-specific risks such as prompt injection and agentic attack surfaces. Experience with security tools for static/dynamic analysis (SAST/DAST), software composition analysis (SCA), and vulnerability management. Experience performing security design reviews and threat modeling for complex applications. Excellent communication skills for collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical partners. A pragmatic and collaborative mindset, with a passion for building defenses against real-world attacks and enabling other engineers to do their best, most secure work. At Asana, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, as this is critical to helping us achieve our mission. If you're interested in this role and don't meet every listed requirement, we still encourage you to apply. What we'll offer Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit. For this role, the estimated base salary range is between 176,000 - 200,000 CAD. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
