Job Description As a Software Engineer on the Litigation Drafting team you will be building the next generation of AI agentic product for legal professionals. The team takes early Labs concepts and turns them into scalable, production-ready features. You will be developing a product which is pushing the boundaries of agentic design by incorporating an complex workflow UI and a specialized Legal agent. This role is aimed at someone early in their career who wants to move quickly. You will get real ownership sooner than is typical, you will be expected to use AI tooling to multiply what one engineer can deliver - your ceiling is set by how fast you learn rather than by how long you have been doing this. This role is focused on back-end skills but there is the opportunity to get front end developer experience to develop into a full-stack engineer We are looking for team players with a strong sense of urgency and a desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment who will drive the delivery of timely solutions. You are empowered to try new approaches and learn new technologies. You will have agency to contribute innovative ideas, create solutions, and will be accountable for end-to-end deliveries. Key Responsibilities Build and ship AI Agentic features end to end: Take a feature from a written requirement through design, implementation, code review and production. You will operate with a moderate level of guidance and own straightforward projects outright. Design and build backend services using Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL to support real-time AI interactions and large-scale data flows, with direct contribution to AI-powered capabilities such as agentic workflows, LLM orchestration, and content pipelines. Productionize AI Capabilities: Integrate with modern LLM providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) and implement reliable orchestration, routing, error handling, guardrails, telemetry, and deep observability for performance and reliability. Strengthen CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation to support fast, stable, cloud‑native development workflows. Use AI as a force multiplier: Apply AI coding and testing tooling to your own work, and help build AI capabilities into the product itself. Translate business requirements into solutions that use AI where it is the right answer, and do not where it is not. Diagnose and fix: Read unfamiliar code, run root cause analysis, troubleshoot production behavior, and act on issues raised by automated code quality inspection. Raise the quality bar: Contribute to automated testing strategy and to continuous integration and delivery pipelines, treating test coverage as part of a feature rather than as a follow-up. Collaborate across functions: Participate actively in design discussions, agile ceremonies and cross-team work with Product, design and Labs teams Help others as you grow: Share what you learn, support colleagues on problems you have already solved, and contribute to a team culture where learning out loud is normal. Required Qualifications Technical Experience; 1-3+ years of professional software development experience. Backend & Cloud Skills: Working knowledge of Python, and experience in AWS, Azure or GCP Cloud services. Solid understanding of RESTful API design, distributed systems and microservices architecture. Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases. Technical Judgment: Excellent debugging skills and a proven ability to deliver production-ready, highly reliable systems. Collaboration & Communication: Comfortable operating in fast-paced, iterative environments, with strong cross-functional communication skills. Evidence that you learn fast. Be ready to point to something specific you taught yourself and then shipped, and to explain how you went about it. Preferred Qualifications BA or BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience Experience with performance optimization for backend systems, including monitoring, profiling, and tuning for scale Hands-on experience building AI-powered product features, ideally agentic AI workflows including multi-step reasoning. Using tool/API orchestrations, LLM APIs, RAG pipelines, Claude Agent SDK / AgentCore at runtime Experience with Agentic UI - SSE/AG-UI streaming semantics, TypeScript/React Experience with Datadog (logs/RUM/traces), CloudWatch Log Insights, and Braintrust Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure including vector databases, model serving, and cost/latency optimization for LLM-powered features Experience testing, automation, and operational robustness Prior experience working on products for legal, compliance, or other regulated professional domains This posting is for proactive recruitment purposes and may be used to fill current openings or future vacancies within our organization. Our category-leading mobile app, Tile tracking devices, and Pet GPS tracker empower members to protect the people, pets, and things they care about most with a range of services, including location sharing, safe driver reports, and crash detection with emergency dispatch. Life360 serves approximately 102.4 million monthly active users (MAU), as of June 30, 2026, across more than 180 countries. Life360 delivers peace of mind and enhances everyday family life with seamless coordination for all the moments that matter, big and small. By continuing to innovate and deliver for our customers, we have become a household name and the must-have mobile-based membership for families (and those friends who are basically family). Life360 has more than 500 (and growing!) remote-first employees. For more information, please visit life360.com . Life360 is a Remote First company, which means a remote work environment will be the primary experience for all employees. All positions, unless otherwise specified, can be performed remotely (within the US and Canada) regardless of any specified location above. We are AI Native We are building an AI native company where AI is an integral part of how we build and operate. AI tool usage during interviews varies by role. You may be asked to demonstrate proficiency with AI tools, discuss how you leverage AI, or complete interview exercises without AI assistance. Your Recruiter will provide clear guidance as you move through the interview process. Undisclosed use of AI not previously discussed with or approved by your Recruiter may impact your candidacy. About The Team The Data & Analytics Team (DnA) is a 60+ person organization spanning data engineering, analytics engineering, analytics/decision science, and data science/ML. The science teams are organized into two sub teams, focusing on MAU and Revenue. This role leads decision science and data science within MAU. You and your team will be responsible for understanding the drivers behind MAU: why members come, why they stay, and why they return. The team partners with product, marketing, and engineering to put those learnings into everyday work, and that work shapes our roadmaps. Our data is unusual for a consumer company. Life360 measures families and circles rather than individuals, so one member's behavior affects another's, which makes measurement a different problem than a standard funnel. With billions of location events, driving behavior, crash detection, and Tile and Pet GPS trackers, we get a rich picture of physical behavior that few consumer companies can build. About the Job This Senior Director leads MAU Analytics and Data Science. You and your team will work across acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention on the analysis, models, and experiments behind each. A lot of what this role owns needs to be built rather than maintained: the measurement, the standards, and how the team uses AI. The team is also raising its craft, and coaching people through that is an important part of the job. Within a year, your team members will be operating at an elevated skill level, proactively bringing key questions to light, and serving as trusted advisors whom stakeholders consult for strategic guidance rather than simple task execution. You will report to the Head of Data and work closely with counterparts leading Revenue Analytics and Data Science, and with the leaders of Data Engineering. For candidates based in the US, the salary range for this position is $247,000 to $366,000 USD. For candidates based out of Canada, the salary range for this position is $286,000 to $339,000 CAD. We take into consideration an individual's background, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience in determining final salary. Base pay may also vary based on geographic location, with US work locations falling into one of three geographic tiers. Total compensation is inclusive of equity compensation in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) , as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits. What You'll Do Lead and develop the decision scientists and data scientists on the team, and set the quality bar for both disciplines. Own the MAU driver model and the forecast. Own the exploratory work that drives the strategy to grow MAU. Establish how an analysis gets scoped, run, reviewed, and written up, so its quality does not depend on who picked up the request. Partner with your Revenue counterpart and Data Engineering leadership to define common metrics, align on experimentation standards, and introduce unified operating practices across teams. Build the operating model that gets the team into the roadmap conversation early, with a view on what to build and what to test. Use agents and automated analysis daily, and expect the same of the team. Shape how the team works AI-native: what gets delegated to agents, what gets automated, and what stays human judgment. What We're Looking For Required Experience & Qualifications 10+ years in analytics, data science, or decision science, including 5+ years in people management in a senior leadership role. Deep expertise in inferential and causal analytics. Able to lead ML practitioners. Expert knowledge of engagement, retention, churn, and cohort metrics. Experience forecasting a company-level metric and being held to it. SQL, plus Python or R. Experience with Databricks, third party experimentation tools (e.g. Statsig), Tableau or similar BI tools, and AI native BI tools (e.g. Hex, AI/BI). Hands-on with coding agents (Claude Code or equivalent) in your own analytical work. Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Nice to Have Familiarity with experiment design to identify and control for network effects. Master's degree or PhD with an emphasis in social science, psychology or other behavioral science. Experience leading a team that reports to you but sits embedded with product and engineering teams. Experience in a B2C subscription business. Core Expectations You have moved an analytics team from reactive to embedded. You coach and develop people, and you have grown analysts into leaders. On your teams, analysis starts from a hypothesis rather than a data request. You have built the standards a team works from, and got people to use them. You are curious about why people behave the way they do, not just what they did. You decide what the team does not work on, and you can defend it. Our Benefits Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans (100% paid for US employees). We offer life and disability as well as supplemental plans for medical and dental for Canadian employees. 401(k) plan with company matching program in the US and RRSP with DPSP plan for Canadian employees. Paid parental leave Mental Wellness Program & Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental well-being Generous time off: flexible PTO, companywide holidays throughout the year plus summer and winter shutdowns Learning & Development programs Equipment, tools, and reimbursement support for a productive remote environment. Free Life360 Platinum Membership and Tile trackers. Life360 Values Our company's mission-driven culture is guided by our shared values to create a trusted work environment where you can bring your authentic self to work and make a positive difference Be a Good Person - We have a team of high integrity people you can trust. Be Direct With Respect - We communicate directly, even when it's hard. Members Before Metrics - We focus on building an exceptional experience for families. This is the infrastructure seat on a small data platform team. You will own the AWS footprint, the deployment path, and the access model that lets a data pipeline read from production systems safely. We hold a high bar here — declarative, version-controlled infrastructure and tightly scoped production access — and you will be designing within that model from day one. Why this role, specifically Plenty of platform roles are about keeping existing infrastructure running. This one is about building the path that lets a new platform touch production data at all — in an environment with protected health information, multiple tenants, and systems clinicians rely on overnight. That constraint is the interesting part. "Give the pipeline database access" is easy anywhere without rules. Doing it with least-privilege credentials, a fully auditable deployment path, and no manual escape hatches is an actual engineering problem, and it is the one you would own. You will also be doing it at the start, when the decisions are still open — rather than inheriting someone's access model and being asked to defend it. What you will do Own the AWS infrastructure for the data platform, defined as code Build and maintain the deployment path, using GitOps and continuous delivery Design least-privilege access to production data sources — credentials, network routes, and permissions that hold up to scrutiny Stand up observability for the platform so reliability is built in rather than added later Administer the Kubernetes workloads the platform runs on Partner with our security team, which matters here given protected health information and multiple tenants Automate the operational work rather than performing it by hand What you bring Depth in AWS is the core requirement for this role: Networking — VPC design, cross-region and cross-account data movement, private connectivity, VPN IAM — able to design least-privilege access, not only apply an existing policy Databases — RDS, Aurora, SQL Server, including read replicas Storage — S3, including access patterns and bucket policy Alongside that: Terraform or CDK to a production standard Kubernetes administration, and GitOps delivery with Argo CD or similar Ownership of CI/CD pipelines A preference for automation over manual intervention, including autoscaling and self-healing rather than hands-on fixes Nice to have Cloud data warehouse platform administration Database replication, particularly SQL Server Managed message infrastructure (RabbitMQ, Amazon MQ) Healthcare or another regulated, audited environment Why Join PerfectServe? At PerfectServe, we are transforming healthcare communication and collaboration to help clinicians deliver better care. You'll work with a dedicated and mission-driven team in an environment that values growth, transparency, and innovation. We offer a salary range of $140,000-160,000 USD per year, with compensation tailored to your background, strengths, and potential to grow within the team. The salary range listed for this role reflects our commitment to pay transparency and is based on market data, internal equity, and the scope of responsibilities. compensation will be determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate's experience, skills, and the specific team or product area they support. We regularly review compensation across the company to ensure fairness and consistency. If you are a current employee and have questions about how your compensation aligns with our ranges, we encourage you to speak with your manager or People Operations. Benefits: Remote first work environment Health, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance options available day one. 401K - with match and immediately vested. 17 company holidays, 2 floating holidays plus competitive paid time off policy Internal Advancement Opportunities PerfectServe offers unified healthcare communication solutions to help physicians, nurses, and care team members provide exceptional patient care. PerfectServe's cloud-based solutions enhance patient safety and reduce provider burnout by automating workflows, speeding time to treatment, optimizing shift schedules, empowering nurse mobility, and engaging patients in their own care.

What You'll Need 4-6 years in product analytics, data science, or growth analytics with extensive product-team experience. Proven track record influencing product roadmaps with evidence-based insights. Experience in high-velocity experimentation environments (consumer apps, fintech, SaaS, marketplaces). Expert SQL; fluency with Snowflake or equivalent cloud data warehouses. Strong experimental design and statistical analysis skills. Competence with data visualization tools and dashboards (Looker, Metabase, etc.).
