Senior Software Engineer, Integrations
Full TimeOn-siteMid$170,000 - $185,000 / Year
phpdjangolaravelrailsci/cdsql+13

Company Description Givebutter is the most-loved nonprofit fundraising and CRM platform, empowering millions of changemakers to raise more, pay less, and give better. Nonprofits use Givebutter to replace multiple tools so they can launch fundraisers and events, use donation forms and donor management (CRM), send emails and text blasts—all in one place. Use of the Givebutter platform is completely free with a 100% transparent tip-or-fee model. Givebutter has been certified as a Great Place to Work® every year since 2021, and is the #1 rated nonprofit software company on G2 across multiple categories. Our mission is to empower the changemaker in all of us. We believe giving should be fun, so you'll want to do it again, and we also believe that work should be fun, so that you'll have the greatest impact. We are excited to hear from talented people who want to work with other talented people in making the world a butter place—and have fun along the way. Role Description Givebutter is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Integrations, to join our Growth pod. Nonprofits live inside dozens of tools they already love: CRMs, accounting, volunteer platforms, AI assistants. This role decides how well Givebutter meets them there. You'll shape our public API into something builders and their AI agents actually want to reach for, and hold the partner surfaces we care about most as they grow with us. Most of this work happens in the space between two systems: reading partner docs, spiking to see what breaks, sitting on calls with external engineers, closing the ambiguity that turns "maybe we could" into "here's how." Why join the Givebutter Engineering team? Democracy of code. We value equal contributions from all engineers and foster an environment of open discussion on architecture and ideas. Autonomy in work. We keep meetings to a minimum. Engineers have the freedom to manage their own calendars and block out uninterrupted time for focused work. Automated CI/CD. Our build and deployment processes are fully automated and hands-off, allowing engineers to focus on problem-solving through code. Mission-driven, full stop. You'll be working with inspiring nonprofits, charities, and organizations that are making a positive impact around the world. Peer ownership of production surfaces. You'll take an integration or an API surface and hold it, cycle over cycle, as sales, success, and product shape it further. AI-native workflow. We use terminal-based agents (Claude Code and similar) daily. We review what they hand us. You'll have opinions about your setup, and we'll want to hear them. We Want To Hear From People Who… Read someone else's API docs carefully, and know why the choices in them matter Care as much about the person calling the API as the person writing it Know that a good integration keeps a nonprofit inside the tools they already love, instead of dragging them into ours Spike, learn what breaks, and turn that into an engineering conversation without needing a project manager to translate Get on a call with a partner engineer and come out with less ambiguity than you started Take your development setup seriously (terminal, editor, agent) and have probably built one or two custom skills to make them work harder Responsibilities Own one or more of our partner integration surfaces end-to-end, and hold them coherent as sales, success, and product shape them further Shape our public API as its audience grows to include AI agents building on behalf of nonprofits who don't code themselves Spike, prototype, and de-risk new partnerships, including the ones we don't yet know how to build, and the ones that only ship because someone had an aha moment Design and defend API contracts, webhook shapes, and data flows that other engineers (and other agents) will build against for years Partner with an existing integrations lead on the surfaces they hold today, and grow into shared ownership over time Partner with Product, Growth, Marketing, and occasionally an external partner engineer, as a natural translator between what each group needs Requirements 4+ years shipping production backend services, ideally on a modern web framework Strong proficiency in PHP / Laravel, or the kind of adjacent framework fluency that ramps quickly (we won't rule you out for having lived in Rails, Django, or Spring) Deep familiarity with REST API design, HTTP semantics, and the patterns that make an API worth building against Solid SQL, MySQL specifically or comfortable enough with another relational database to speak to the trade-offs you've made Experience building against real-world third-party APIs, not just the pristine documented examples Comfortable designing async job workflows, queued work, and observable failure paths Strong instincts around OAuth, webhooks, and the trust-boundary decisions that keep a public API safe and honest Active use of terminal-based AI development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) with a clear review discipline for what the agent produces Experience contributing to on-call rotation for production services Comfortable navigating an existing monorepo (ours is real, and PHP / Laravel is most of the backend) Nice to have Contributions to a public API you helped design (bonus if it survived a v2) You've built your own AI tooling, custom skills, or agent workflows, not just used the defaults Familiarity with the emerging surface where AI agents consume APIs on behalf of end users, and opinions about what a legible API looks like to a non-human caller You have opinions about the difference between a specification and an implementation (OAuth 1 vs 2, JSON:API vs REST, GraphQL and what came after: any of it, all of it) Nonprofit or mission-driven experience More about Givebutter Benefits Remote Work: Work remotely from one of our 10 hubs (Austin, Denver, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Seattle, and Nashville). Health Insurance: We offer Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance covered 100% for employees as well as HSA and FSA accounts. Feel good about the work you're doing and the company you work for. Hiring Manager Interview: A deeper dive into your relevant experience, skillset, and working style. This is your first opportunity to connect directly with the person who may be your future manager. Assessment (technical or non-technical): This stage will vary based on the role. It could involve a live coding session, case study, or take-home project. Some roles may include two parts to this stage to evaluate both practical skills and problem-solving approaches Values Interview: A conversation with team members focused on how you align with our core values and leadership principles. References: We connect with a few folks you've worked closely with to get a better picture of your working style and impact. Offer: If all goes well, we'll move to the offer stage! Please note, we will have an AI note-taking tool join most of our interviews. Hi potential new butterslice! A recent study from LinkedIn showed that most women apply to jobs only when they meet 100% of the requirements, whereas men will hit the apply button if they hit 60%. Givebutter is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. So to the women and nonbinary folks out there feeling unsure if you're a perfect fit, we strongly encourage you to apply! Product Manager - Preclinical Device
Full TimeOn-siteMid
rmanufacturingarchitectureresearchr

Location : London, with occasional travel. About Netholabs Netholabs builds large-scale neural and behavioural recording platforms to generate the data needed for the next generation of brain models. We operate two recording platforms: a preclinical ethological monitoring system integrated with behaviour and neural data and a human motion-capture and neurophysiology platform. We are a small, fast-moving team where hardware, neuroscience, and ML sit in the same room. The Role We are building integrated human motion-capture and neurophysiological recording systems for both controlled lab studies and naturalistic, in-the-wild data collection. Today we have working prototypes. We need someone to turn them into products - reproducible, manufacturable, remotely updatable systems that can be deployed at scale and maintained without an engineer in the room. You will own R&D delivery across the London lab and hardware programme: co-developing the hardware with our electronics and mechanical engineers, importing and enforcing best-practice data capture protocols, and engaging contract manufacturers to scale. This is an agentic, hands-on role -with support engineer roles as required. You will spend as much time in the lab and on the phone with suppliers as you will in a spec document. What you'll do Take working prototypes to shippable, field-deployable systems — define the product, own the roadmap, and drive it to delivery Specify and build out over-the-air update infrastructure: firmware, versioning, rollback, fleet management, remote diagnostics Own the design-for-manufacture transition — DFM/DFA reviews, BOM ownership, tolerancing, test fixtures, and production test protocols Identify, qualify, and manage contract manufacturers and suppliers; own the relationship from RFQ through NPI to sustained production Establish and enforce best-practice data capture protocols across modalities (EEG, fNIRS, EMG, pupillometry, motion capture, video) so that data quality is consistent across sessions, operators, and sites Define the requirements that make in-the-wild collection viable: wearability, session setup time, robustness, battery life, and unattended operation Work directly with our electronics, mechanical, firmware, and neuroscience teams to translate research needs into hardware requirements — and push back when a requirement doesn't survive contact with manufacturing Build the quality, documentation, and regulatory groundwork (design history, ISO 13485-style discipline, CE/UKCA pathway) appropriate to a research-device product Contribute to the industrialisation of our rodent recording platform where the manufacturing and OTA problems overlap What we're looking for Essential Min 3+ years (ideal 7+) in hardware product management, product engineering, or programme management, with several products you personally took from prototype to volume manufacture Direct, demonstrable experience with contract manufacturers: you have run RFQs, sat through NPI builds, argued about yield, and fixed a production line problem from 6,000 miles away Deep understanding of connected-device architecture: OTA update mechanisms, device provisioning, telemetry, fleet management, and what it costs to get these wrong Fluency across electronics, mechanical, and firmware enough to hold a real technical conversation with each - you don't need to design the board, but you need to know when the answer you're getting is wrong Track record of writing specifications and protocols that people actually follow Comfort with ambiguity and a small-company reality: no PMO, no roadmap tooling team, no one to delegate the boring parts to Strongly preferred Experience with wearable, biosignal, or medical device hardware Familiarity with human research data collection — protocols, participant handling, IRB/ethics, GDPR and special-category data Experience shipping a product to CE/UKCA or FDA pathway Background in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, or a related field Experience with multi-sensor time synchronisation and the data infrastructure behind it What we offer Direct ownership of a product line at a company small enough that your decisions ship Equity in an early-stage company building foundational infrastructure for brain modelling A team of neuroscientists and engineers doing genuinely novel work Central London lab, on-site, with access to the Sussex rodent facility To apply: send a CV and a short note about a product you took from prototype to manufacture what broke, and what you did about it. You operate with independence and initiative : you seek out the customers, stakeholders, data, and context you need rather than waiting for direction, while staying anchored to Reachdesk's goals and priorities. You have strong business and commercial awareness and are curious about how the wider company operates, allowing you to understand competing needs and make pragmatic decisions beyond the boundaries of Product. You're technically fluent enough to work effectively with Engineering , understand systems, integrations, and constraints, ask the right questions, and contribute meaningfully to solution and scope decisions. You're an exceptional communicator , able to create clarity, influence decisions, surface difficult trade-offs, and adapt how you communicate across customers, engineers, leadership, and teams throughout the business. You're comfortable operating externally as well as internally , building productive relationships with technology partners, uncovering shared opportunities, influencing without authority, and navigating product, technical, and commercial conversations. You have a strong sense of product and user experience , caring about the coherence and quality of the complete experience rather than whether individual requirements or features have simply been delivered.
