About us The appliedAI Initiative elevates Europe's industry to become shapers in the age of AI, creating a future that we desire to live in. Through our ecosystem of strong partners, comprehensive programs, services and solutions we advance companies holistically on their AI journey. With our uniquely diverse, interdisciplinary, and driven team, we build on deep technical expertise while specializing on applicability of the solutions. We share a mindset of collaboration and openness with our ecosystem of leading companies and tech players. Our common goal is to strengthen the European landscape, jointly creating unique knowledge for applying trustworthy AI. We believe that AI Agents will be the dominant topic for AI in the near future and that appliedAI with its partner ecosystem will impact how this technology is being used in industry and beyond in Europe. Your mission In every industrial company there is a problem the engineers have stopped raising, because everyone agrees it cannot be solved. A design that takes three days to validate. A variant that has to be quoted before anyone has drawn it. Forty years of engineering knowledge sitting in files nobody can search. Those problems are our work, and this is the role that takes them on: the technical lead for AI across design, simulation and manufacturing, trusted by clients with the question nobody has answered yet. Your tasks will include: Setting the technical direction for our industrial AI portfolio across design, simulation and manufacturing, and deciding which approach a problem actually deserves Taking engineering problems that arrive badly defined and turning them into something that can be solved Carrying the specialist authority in client projects, making the calls that decide whether a prototype becomes a system people rely on Shaping new engagements with engineering and R&D leaders, from the first workshop to the signed proposal Leaving behind reference architectures, evaluation methods and accelerators that the whole practice can build on Growing the depth of the engineers around you through coaching, standards and hands-on reviews Your profile Ten years or more in computational engineering across design, simulation and manufacturing, earned through a doctorate in a computational field, or through an equal weight of industrial work You know how the chain holds together: how geometry and constraints are set, how a design is validated numerically, how it becomes something a factory can make, and what breaks at every handover You choose the method a problem deserves - surrogate and reduced-order models, physics-informed and data-driven modelling, optimisation, generative geometry, agents - and you still get somewhere when there is almost nothing to learn from You start from what the customer needs rather than from what happens to sit in their database, and you can hold that conversation with an engineering leader in German or English, on their shop floor as readily as on a call Extensive experience getting software in production, with the habits that come with it: testing, CI/CD, observability, and being the person who gets called when it stops AI systems you have put into operation and kept running, models and agents alike: evaluated, guarded, affordable at load, and honest about how they fail The commercial instinct to see which technically beautiful answer a client will actually buy, most likely built as a founder, an early employee, or an intrapreneur who carried real risk What we offer A highly qualified and motivated team of ~90 people is on a journey to change the rapidly evolving European AI Landscape Experience the best of both worlds with our hybrid work model: You can choose to work from our vibrant offices - either at the IPAI in Heilbronn or the House of Communication in Munich - while also enjoying the flexibility to work remotely a few days each week Opportunity to shape a variety of projects and the development of new, original content based on the latest developments in AI and its adoption in businesses An atmosphere that encourages to think and experiment in new ways with software, hardware, and processes A highly visible initiative that helps you build a large and high-level network of start-ups, partners, and tech companies A flexible development budget that's yours to shape - invest it in training, certifications, conferences, or new challenges, however you want to grow Sports membership with Wellpass to access thousands of sports facilities all over Germany (and beyond), as well as online courses JobRad: Lease a bike for a cheaper rate via JobRad and we cover the bike insurance on top Sabbatical option: You can take a sabbatical of up to 3 months after min. 3 years of employment - because sometimes 30 vacation days are not enough to explore the beauty of this world PME Familienservice: A 24/7 support for a successful work & life in any life situation. Benefit from free support in areas like life coaching, child care and many other options Mobility budget: Every month we contribute to your individual mobility usage with public transport or shared mobility offers within the app Moovster Workation: Work from anywhere in the EU/EWR area for up to 3 months per year - combining working at a nice place and spending your leisure time in the evening like vacation Contact Lucas Fernandes - Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist appliedAI Initiative GmbH, August-Everding-Str. 25, 81671 München Find Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow

Your Mission: Own how Zeit AI shows up As our first marketing hire, you own everything between someone hearing our name for the first time and Sales having a qualified conversation. Website, search, content, brand, events. Your mission is to turn that into a steady stream of inbound from DACH. Your Daily Business - no two days are alike The website, in Webflow: content, structure, landing pages, conversion, tracking. You build and ship it yourself SEO: keyword research, on-page and technical work, backlinks. ZeitMind, the autonomous data engineer for the European mid-market About Zeit AI In the coming years, companies will replace their internal data teams with AI agents to run more efficiently. Zero to €1M ARR in our first twelve months with six people. Small team, one room in Munich, regular team offsites. What This Role Is Marvin and Leopold set the vision. You make it real. Every vision comes with a dozen smaller ones underneath it: how the office should look, how the teams work together, what the brand looks like from the outside, how we run feedback, how we organise as we grow, how information moves through the company. Right now each of these waits for a founder to find time, and it competes with building the product and closing customers. You take them on. You sit next to the founders and hear every decision. You turn what they want into a playbook, then make the hundred smaller calls it takes to get there, without coming back for permission on each one. This is not an admin or operations role. It's the role that clears the path, so the company arrives where the founders want it to be, faster than they would have got there alone. Your Daily Business - no two days are alike Founder leverage: you work directly with Marvin and Leopold on whatever is most urgent that week. A pricing model for a new segment, a board slide that has to be right, a hiring funnel that stalled, a customer contract nobody has read. The range is the job, and the small things are not beneath it Cross-functional projects, end to end: from the idea to the thing actually shipped. You coordinate whoever is needed and you stay on it until it is done Decision support: research, analysis, a clear recommendation. We want the recommendation, not the options deck Investors and board: monthly updates, board materials, data room, ad-hoc requests during fundraising. You own the calendar Hiring and onboarding: we are growing fast and every hire changes the company at this size. You run the process so it stays fast and the first week never feels improvised The team: offsites, onboarding, the operating rhythm, the office, the things that make one room in Munich work Events: which conferences are worth it, what we bring, who speaks, what happens afterwards Internal processes and AI: you find the repetitive work and you automate it rather than documenting it Your Skillset - what you bring to the table 5+ years in a fast-moving, high-bar environment: top-tier strategy consulting, investment banking, a high-growth startup, a founder's office, or business operations. We care more about what you drove than how long you were there. Founder experience counts double here. If you have started something, run a founder's office, or been a Chief of Staff before, say so. So does the other direction: if you want to found your own company in a few years, that is a reason to hire you, not a risk. This seat is the closest thing to running one without the cap table Restless energy. You are a go-getter who pushes things forward, not someone who waits for them to land on your desk. Sharp, structured thinking helps you cut through a vague problem fast, but momentum matters more to us than perfect organisation A track record of projects you drove from idea to done, not projects you coordinated Excellent communication. You handle an investor, a candidate and an engineer in the same afternoon and adjust for each Comfortable with ambiguity and with no one checking on you Strong ownership and a bias to action. When something is broken and unowned, you pick it up AI-native: you already use AI tools to do in an hour what used to take a day, and you will build the workflows the rest of the team then uses German and English fluently. Our customers and most hires are DACH Munich, or ready to relocate. This role does not work remotely What We Offer Full trust, maximum support.
