Senior Manager, Technical Brand & Content
AirbnbUnited States (Fully Remote)18 days ago
Full TimeFully RemoteSenior$192,000 - $192,000 / Year
claimscoachingeditingseorecruitingtalent acquisition+2

Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way. The Community You Will Join: Airbnb's mission is to create a world where people can Belong Anywhere. As we work to achieve that mission, our cross functional Tech Operations and Programs team helps enable Tech organizations to execute and deliver on high impact programs and initiatives.  The Difference You Will Make: You will decide what the engineering world knows about Airbnb. Our engineers solve hard problems at scale across infrastructure, data, and applied AI — and they write about that work well. Almost none of the engineers we'd most like to hire have ever seen it. You'll change that, and the change is measurable. A year in, senior candidates should arrive already able to describe our technical work accurately, because they found it before we found them. Our engineers should be recognised names in their fields rather than anonymous authors. Airbnb should be the source people cite on at least one technical domain. And the strongest engineers in the market should have a reason to choose us that has nothing to do with the offer. That is a rare kind of impact for this discipline. Most tech brand roles are asked to manufacture credibility that isn't there. Here the engineering is genuinely strong and already documented — the gap is that it doesn't travel. You'd be building the function that closes it, with real autonomy, very little inherited process, and direct access to engineering leaders and our CTO. A Typical Day: Own the editorial engine. Run the Airbnb Tech Blog end to end: sourcing topics from teams, coaching engineer-authors, editing to a high bar, and moving posts through legal, security and comms review without letting them stall. Set and hold a publishing rhythm the org can rely on. Find the cross-team narratives. Our biggest gap is that individually strong posts never add up to a story. You'll work across orgs to identify the themes that connect work from multiple teams, and publish them as connected sets — while each domain keeps publishing in depth for its own specialists. Build our voices. Help our engineers and technical leaders develop genuine public presence: bylines, talks, speaker coaching, and a pipeline of new voices. This includes partnering closely with our CTO to establish his public technical presence. Own distribution. Establish our canonical home on an Airbnb-owned domain, stand up the surfaces we're missing including video, and decide what our social channels are for. Publishing well and distributing poorly is the pattern we're here to break. Run our external presence. Set conference and event strategy — where we speak, where we sponsor, where we skip — and manage what we host ourselves. Own our academic collaborations and technical media relationships, and the budget and vendors behind all of it. Steward our open source presence. Make sure what Airbnb claims publicly is accurate and actually maintained, and that the projects carrying our name reflect how we want to be seen. Prove it works. Partner with Talent Acquisition to connect this work to hiring outcomes — inbound share of the senior pipeline, offer acceptance at staff level and above in ML and infrastructure — and be honest about what is and isn't attributable. Your Expertise: Substantial experience in technical content, developer relations, engineering communications or technical editorial — including time spent working directly with engineers, not adjacent to them. Technical fluency. You don't need to write production code, but you need to hold your own in a systems design conversation, read a design doc, and judge whether a draft post says anything real. Credibility with staff engineers is the difference between this role working and not working. Editorial judgment and hands-on craft. You can edit an engineer's draft into something sharper without flattening their voice, and you know the difference between a post that teaches something and one that announces something. Influence without authority. Nothing you need is owned by you. You've built systems and incentives that got busy senior people to produce, rather than relying on persistence. Program discipline. You've owned events, budgets and vendors end to end, and you're comfortable with the unglamorous half of the job. Measurement literacy. You connect brand work to funnel outcomes, and you're straight about the limits of attribution rather than reaching for impressions. Judgment on risk. You've navigated legal and security review, and you know what shouldn't be published as well as what should. Nice to have Experience migrating a technical publication between platforms, including the SEO and redirect work. Experience running or fixing an open source program. Experience helping a senior executive build a public technical presence. Familiarity with AI and ML engineering topics, and with academic or research communications. Video or multi-format content experience. Your Location: This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. While the position is Remote Eligible, you must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity. Click here for the up-to-date list of excluded states. This list is continuously evolving, so please check back with us if the state you live in is on the exclusion list  If your position is employed by another Airbnb entity, your recruiter will inform you what states you are eligible to work from. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.   Pay Range $192,000 — $237,000 USD   Reasonable Accommodations: We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process for applicants with disabilities. If you need assistance, or an accommodation, please let your recruiter know once you are contacted about a role. A Note on Recruiting Scams: Scammers sometimes pose as Airbnb recruiters to get money or personal information from candidates. A few things that will always be true for Airbnb's hiring process: our open roles are posted on Airbnb's Career's Page at careers.airbnb.com, and our recruiters correspond only from @ airbnb.com or @ ext.airbnb.com email addresses. Our recruiters will never ask for your Social Security number, bank account details, passport, or payment app information while you are interviewing.  We'll also never ask you to pay a fee, send money, deposit or cash a check, or purchase work-related equipment (such as a company laptop) during the interview process. We encourage candidates to remain vigilant of these recruiting scams and not share sensitive information if you do not believe an individual is actually affiliated with Airbnb.

Head of Marketing
WayveLondon, United Kingdom18 days ago
Full TimeOn-siteDirector
dentalinsurancecoachingdigital marketingpartnershipsdei

Before the detail, here's the challenge you'd help us solve. We build the embodied intelligence that moves real vehicles safely, and the ecosystem a billion machines will run on in the future. Very few people in AI can say this. Every role here, whatever the team, plugs into that. Here's what this particular role covers. Head of Marketing 📣 About our Marketing Team Wayve is looking for its first Head of Marketing to define and lead the global marketing strategy for our AI Driver technology. You'll turn company and commercial objectives into a clear market position, compelling product narratives and integrated programs that build trust in our technology and support adoption by automotive, technology and mobility partners. Reporting to the VP of Marketing Communications, you'll lead product marketing, brand strategy, partner co-marketing, digital marketing, the website, content, events and conferences. You'll initially manage a team of approximately four spanning product marketing, digital, marketing operations, design and web, while working closely with the Head of Communications and leaders across Product, Commercial, Policy and Partnerships. 🧠 Your day-to-day You'll define Wayve's global marketing strategy across AI Driver, Robotaxi, automotive/OEM and safety audiences, connecting business priorities to clear audiences, positioning, programs and measurable outcomes. You'll operate as both a senior marketing leader and a hands-on practitioner—setting strategy and developing your team while personally shaping positioning, challenging briefs and improving execution. You'll bring together product, brand, digital, content, events and partner marketing into an integrated approach that strengthens Wayve's position and supports commercial adoption. 🧩 What you'll be working on: Defining Wayve's marketing strategy across AI Driver, Robotaxi, automotive/OEM and safety audiences, connecting business priorities to clear audiences, positioning, programs and measurable outcomes. Owning product positioning and messaging, translating complex AI and autonomous-driving technology into differentiated, technically credible and commercially relevant narratives. Building trust in Wayve's technology through evidence-led content, demonstrations, customer stories and integrated campaigns. Establishing Wayve's brand strategy and ensuring it is consistently applied across campaigns, digital channels, experiences and partnerships. Leading partner co-marketing with automakers, mobility platforms and technology partners, developing shared narratives, launch plans and campaigns that advance both parties' objectives while maintaining Wayve's distinct positioning. Owning digital marketing strategy, the website and content engine, using data to improve reach, engagement and conversion. Setting the strategy for conferences and experiential marketing, ensuring investment supports clear company and commercial objectives. Building integrated marketing plans with Communications while maintaining clear ownership: Marketing leads product, brand, digital, content, events and partner marketing; Communications leads corporate narrative, media relations, crisis communications and reputation management. Leading, coaching and developing the marketing team, establishing clear priorities, ownership and decision rights while remaining accountable for delivery quality. Creating transparent operating plans, budgets, KPIs and reporting that give leadership clear visibility into progress, risks and results. Working across Product, Commercial, Partnerships, Policy, Communications and regional teams to secure alignment and deliver cohesive programs. Remaining hands-on in a fast-moving environment, personally shaping positioning, challenging briefs and improving strategy. 🙌 You should apply if: You have senior marketing leadership experience in a complex, trust-sensitive category such as autonomous technology, enterprise technology, AI, platform businesses or fintech. You bring strong product-marketing and narrative-strategy capabilities, with evidence of translating highly technical products for commercial partners and consumers. You have demonstrated experience building a category and brand across integrated channels, ideally while operating with constrained budgets. You have successfully delivered partner co-marketing with major global organizations while protecting a clear standalone brand position. You bring strong digital, website, content and integrated-campaign capabilities supported by meaningful measurement. You take a commercially minded approach, connecting customer needs, routes to market and partnerships with adoption and business growth. You have hands-on scale-up leadership experience and can set strategy, manage senior stakeholders, coach a small team and drive execution through ambiguity. You demonstrate sound judgment, strong executive communication and the ability to make clear decisions and constructive recommendations. You bring a collaborative, low-ego leadership style and can work effectively alongside Communications and senior technical and commercial stakeholders. Experience in autonomous vehicles, mobility, automotive technology or another platform or ingredient-brand business is a plus. Experience building a challenger brand against larger, better-funded competitors is a plus. Experience marketing internationally across B2B, partner and consumer audiences is a plus. Experience developing marketing organizations, operating models and teams during rapid growth is a plus. 🌱 Not ticking every box? That's totally okay! We understand that everyone brings a unique combination of skills and experience. If you're passionate about self-driving cars and believe you can make a positive impact, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every requirement. More about Wayve: 🚀 Wayve is building the leading AI platform for autonomous driving. We are pioneering an end to end AI approach that enables vehicles to learn directly from real world experience, developing the ability to adapt, generalise and improve at scale. Instead of relying on hand coded rules or pre mapped environments, our AI Driver learns to drive by understanding the world around it. The result is technology that navigates complex urban environments with intelligence, precision and natural flow, unlocking meaningful advances in both safety and efficiency. We believe autonomy represents a once in a generation transformation in how people and goods move, comparable to the shift from horses to cars, and from human driven vehicles to intelligent machines. Our ambition is to make autonomy universal. Wayve's mapless and hardware agnostic AI platform integrates with global OEM partners, enabling continuous software evolution and unlocking advanced levels of automation from L2 plus through to L4 as our core AI model scales. In a race increasingly defined by intelligence and real world learning, Wayve is taking a distinct approach, building a generalisable driving intelligence that can power any vehicle, anywhere. By combining embodied AI with scalable deployment, we are creating technology that can be shaped to each OEM brand and driver experience, accelerating the transition to a safer, more intelligent future of mobility. How we work 💻 – Locations & Flexible Working: This is a full-time role based in our London office . Our main hubs are in London, Sunnyvale, Yokohama, Herzliya, Vancouver and Leonberg. We operate a hybrid working model that combines in-person collaboration in our dedicated office spaces and workshops with focused time working remotely. This gives our teams the connection and energy of working together, alongside the flexibility to do their best work. 🔍 The Interview Process: Our process is clear and respectful of your time: Initial call / recruiter screen (30 mins) Competency interviews (Hiring Manager and Team Interviews) (1.5 hrs) Deep-dive interviews (Presentation) (60 mins) Final interview (60 mins) We'll always explain the format and work around your availability. What's in it for you: 💰 Salaries benchmarked against the market annually 📈 Meaningful equity, sharing in the ownership and long term success of Wayve ✈️ Relocation support and visa sponsorship where applicable ✅ Hybrid working, core hours and the chance to work hands on in vehicle workshops and labs 📚 Learning and development budgets with support for training, conferences and growth 🩺 Comprehensive benefits including health insurance, dental, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, retirement or pension where applicable, access to therapists, wellbeing partnerships, team socials and more A quick, honest note before you apply. Wayve is not a mature, fully-structured place with the playbook already written. Much of how we work is still being written, and if you join, you'll help write it. That suits people who want real ownership more than people who need a settled structure from day one. If that sounds like the kind of problem you want to spend your time on, we'd really like to hear from you. At Wayve we're committed to creating a diverse, fair and respectful culture that is inclusive of everyone based on their unique skills and perspectives, and regardless of sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic or national origin, disability, age, citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership status, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, pregnancy or related condition (including breastfeeding) or any other basis as protected by applicable law. For more information visit Careers at Wayve. To learn more about what drives us, visit Values at Wayve DISCLAIMER: We will not ask about marriage or pregnancy, care responsibilities or disabilities in any of our job adverts or interviews. However, we do look to capture information about care responsibilities, and disabilities among other diversity information as part of an optional DEI Monitoring form to help us identify areas of improvement in our hiring process and ensure that the process is inclusive and non-discriminatory.
