Volley Automation is building the future of parking through fully automated robotic parking systems. Our mission is to create sustainable parking solutions that are compact, efficient, and adaptable throughout a building's lifecycle, while making EV charging easier and more accessible. Are you intrigued by the idea of putting cars away with robots? Do you hate parking? Do you love parking? If so, we'd love to talk. Volley Automation builds fully automated parking. Drivers hand off their car at the entry bay and walk away. From there the building takes over: AGVs move vehicles on trays, vertical conveyors move them between floors, and a controls and software stack orchestrates everything. The result is a garage that fits more cars into less concrete, in exactly the urban cores where parking is most expensive to build. Our systems go into real buildings, on real construction schedules, with real occupancy dates. That constraint shapes everything about how we build, develop, and engineer our product. The Role Volley is hiring a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to own the applications our customers and end users touch every day: the kiosk app in the bay, the mobile app, and the bay guidance display. You'll own these end to end, from requirements through shipping and supporting software that runs against real hardware. Requirements change as the hardware and the business evolve, so you should be comfortable making product and technical calls without a finished spec. You should like building things, prefer simple solutions, and care how the result feels to the person standing in front of it. Responsibilities Own the design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement of Volley's user-facing applications, each of which integrates with garage and bay software and hardware. Translate product requirements, user flows, and mockups into polished, production-ready interfaces for kiosk, mobile, and web. Lead new user-facing systems as the platform grows, including web applications for garage and AGV management, internal tools for running simulations, and EV charging features in the mobile and kiosk apps. Write frontend code that is tested, maintainable, and performs well on the hardware it ships on. Work with backend, robotics, hardware, and operations engineers on application architecture, APIs, and integrations. Develop and test against real robots and bay hardware at our test facility and at customer sites, troubleshoot issues when they come up, and take part in showcase and pilot deployments. Required Qualifications BS (MS preferred) in CS or a related discipline. Deep understanding of frontend fundamentals: responsive and adaptive layout, state management, component architecture, debugging, and testing, with experience shipping production UIs backed by REST APIs. Strong experience with Flutter/Dart or another modern frontend framework such as React, React Native, Vue, or Angular, and with mobile or hybrid app development on iOS or Android. Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines. A track record of taking projects from prototype to deployed, monitored production software. Willingness to work across the stack, including backend, testing, and simulation, when that is where the work is. Ability to work in person. Travel is not a regular part of the role, but expect occasional visits to customer deployment sites to see your work in operation and gather feedback from users. Preferred Qualifications Direct professional experience with Flutter/Dart. Experience building and deploying apps for kiosk, embedded-display, or on-device Linux hardware. Strong system design experience and rapid prototyping skills. Experience setting up CI/CD with GitHub Actions, including automated build and release for mobile apps. Working knowledge of AWS for the services your applications depend on. Exposure to Docker. Experience with 3D visualization or scheduling/simulation interfaces. Familiarity with ROS/ROS2 or other robotics software. Bonus Points Not required, but a big plus. Solid visual and interaction design instincts, with the ability to independently produce clear, intuitive user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. Experience storyboarding end-to-end user journeys, such as a driver arriving at the bay, handing off a vehicle, receiving a retrieval code, and picking the car up later, and turning those storyboards into screens. Experience researching and incorporating user feedback, product insights, and analytics to identify pain points and inform requirements and design decisions. Experience conducting usability testing with real users, defining success criteria, and iterating on the experience over time. A strong eye for system feedback in physical, public-space interfaces: status, progress, and error states that make an automated system feel trustworthy to a first-time user. Applicant must provide proof of his or her eligibility to work in the United States if selected for hire. Volley Automation is an equal opportunity employer to all, regardless of age, ancestry, association with a member of a protected class, bereavement leave, color, disability (physical, intellectual/developmental, or mental health/psychiatric), exercising the right to family care and medical leave related to serious health condition of employee or family member, child bonding, or military exigencies, engaging in protected activity, gender identity or expression, genetic information or characteristic, marital status, medical condition (cancer or genetic characteristic), military and veteran status, national origin (includes language restrictions), pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, or related medical conditions, Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL), race (includes hairstyle and hair texture), religious creed (includes dress and grooming practices), reproductive health decision making, sex/gender, and sexual orientation. We are not accepting resumes from third-party vendors or agency recruiters representing candidates. Direct Applicants Only.

Who are we? The sea is the physical layer of the economy: our energy, data and trade move across it and under it. It is also Europe's most exposed flank. Cheap underwater drones, divers and mines now threaten ports, naval bases, subsea cables and offshore energy sites, and most of what is funded today stops at detection: it tells you a drone has entered the harbour, not how to stop it before it reaches the hull or the cable. Pelagon is creating the category of maritime interdiction : detection and action together. We design, deploy and operate protection zones around critical maritime infrastructure: a persistent sensing network running our own acoustic-first AI detects and classifies threats, and an underwater interceptor acts on them. We sell to navies and coast guards , and to the civilian operators of ports, subsea cables and offshore energy. Pelagon was founded by Aymeric de Pontbriand (serial deeptech entrepreneur, founded and exited Scortex) and Gauthier Bouxin (French Navy officer, then McKinsey). A team is already in place around them: a lead embedded systems engineer, a lead hardware engineer and an a chief of staff. We are backed by Hexa , the pioneer startup studio in Europe behind Front, Aircall and Spendesk. ⚡ What is at stake in the coming months Confirm the technology at sea with navies and operators. Deploy and sign our first paid pilots. Sign our first contracts. By joining us, you'll play a key role in turning that early traction into multi-year protection contracts, and in building the sales team that follows. 🎯 Your mission Own every deal from first meeting to signed contract, with navies, port authorities and operators of cables and offshore energy. Sell interdiction, not detection alone: make the threat and the gap between alarm and response concrete for each buyer, then turn pilots into multi-year protection contracts. Shape requirements before the tender: work with navies and operators months ahead of an RFP so that it asks for detection and action together. Open our priority export markets: the Baltic and the Nordics, the Black Sea, the Gulf and Southeast Asia. Work as a pair with Gauthier, our Co-CEO, on key accounts, and bring Aymeric and the engineers in when the technical conversation starts. Build the partner channel: primes and integrators, offshore and cable operators, and local partners in each country. Turn every deployment into a reference the next customer can check. Set up the sales machine, then hire and lead the first sellers. 📈 How you will be measured First 3 months: you own the pipeline, have a qualified deal plan for each priority region, and a first paid pilot or LOI is signed. 6 months: paid pilots are running and the first contracts are signed. 12 months: recurring contracts in at least two countries, and your first sales hires are made and ramped. 🤩 This job is your dream job if: You have closed defense or government deals and want to do it again, from zero, where every contract changes the trajectory You like being the second half of a founder pair: the CEO brings operational credibility, you bring the deal You'd rather be on a plane to Tallinn, Constanța or Abu Dhabi than in a forecast meeting You speak engineer well enough to sell sensors, AI and C2 You want to write the sales playbook yourself, then hire the team that runs it 🙅 This job is not for you if: You need a brand, a marketing team and SDRs to sell You have only sold short-cycle SaaS or SMB deals, never through formal procurement You want to manage a large team from day one rather than close deals yourself Sales cycles of 12 to 24 months and 40% travel put you off You are looking for the comfort of a large defense group What we offer A founding role in a seed-stage defense tech company backed by Hexa Fixed salary, variable on signed revenue, BSPCE Offices in Paris, real deployments at sea 🧭 Our recruitment process A first call to get to know each other. A deep dive into two deals you closed. A case study on a real Pelagon challenge, presented to the founders. A conversation with the founders. Reference checks, with your consent. Offer. We answer after each step. Pelagon is committed to creating a diverse environment. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment irrespective of gender, origin, identity, background and sexual orientation. Find Jobs in France on Arbeitnow

About Us Harmattan AI is a next-generation defense prime building autonomous and scalable defense systems. Following the close of a $200M Series B, valuing the company at $1.4 billion, we are expanding our teams and capabilities to deliver mission-critical systems to allied forces. Our work is guided by clear values: building technologies with real-world impact, pursuing excellence in everything we do, setting ambitious goals, and taking on the hardest technical challenges. We operate in a demanding environment where rigor, ownership, and execution are expected. About the Role Within the Engineering Quality team, you will own industrial vision inspection across our production lines, from roadmap and qualification to integration on automated and manual stations. As production ramps up, you will turn today's manual controls into robust inline inspections, working hand in hand with the Industrialization & Automation, Quality and Production teams. With hardware already on site, this is a greenfield role: you will write the standard rather than inherit one, and see your programs running on a defense production line within weeks. This is a full time position based in Orly, with opportunities to grow within the organization. Responsibilities Build and own the industrial vision roadmap across our production lines, and defend the associated investments. Audit existing cameras and programs, then establish a measured baseline of escape and false reject rates. Develop and deploy vision programs on real parts, tuning optics, lighting, thresholds and Edge Learning tools. Integrate vision on automated stations with the automation team, including triggering, PLC/IO handshake and robot guidance. Deploy standalone camera programs on manual stations, along with the scripting and small tooling around them. Define and run the qualification framework (IQ/OQ/PQ) and trace every inspection into the control plan. Maintain a versioned and backed up program library, with clear documentation for every deployed inspection. Review rejected images daily with production, separating real defects from false rejects and unblocking stations. Partner with R&D on design for inspectability, and with Manufacturing Systems Engineering and IT on data and network handling. Candidate Requirements Educational Background: Engineering degree or equivalent, with a strong academic record. Vision Experience: 2+ years of practical industrial vision experience in a production environment, such as automotive, electronics, aerospace, medtech or a vision integrator. Technical Skills: Proficiency with at least one industrial vision platform or library, scripting skills and enough automation exposure to work with a PLC or a robot. Validation Rigor: Manages false rejects and escapes with data, knows that optics and lighting drive the result, and is curious about assembly (PCBA, solder joints, connectors). Roadmap Ownership: Able to build a plan and a standard from scratch in a greenfield environment, and to defend an investment case. Shop Floor Pragmatism: Designs for operators and shift reality, favors robust over elegant solutions, works autonomously and embraces a "no task is too small" mentality. Communication & Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication in French and English, capable of working with diverse principals, from operators on the line to senior leadership. Eligibility: Security clearance may be required for this role. Commitment: 100% dedication to Harmattan AI's mission, vision, and ambitious growth plans, ready to go the extra mile to ensure operational excellence. We look forward to hearing how you can help shape the future of autonomous defense systems at Harmattan AI. Find Jobs in France on Arbeitnow
