Our teams come from industries around the world, united by a shared commitment to excellence. By refusing to settle, you can help redefine what's possible and shape the future of mobility. Join Lucid's Autonomous Driving and ADAS organization to help develop and integrate next-generation autonomy features into Lucid vehicles. Help turn advanced driving technology into safe, dependable vehicle behavior. You will own features from concept and requirements through integration and production readiness. Your primary focus will be supervised point to point driving (L2++) and development work that also contributes to L4 automated driving. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role at the intersection of vehicle systems, autonomy software, safety, and validation. You will translate product goals into implementable specifications, investigate real-world behavior, and drive technical decisions across teams. The Role: Own the systems definition and delivery of assigned driving features: use cases, operating conditions, operational design domain (ODD), behavioral requirements, limitations, and measurable acceptance criteria. Decompose vehicle-level objectives into functional, performance, and safety requirements. Allocate performance budgets and maintain traceability from stakeholder needs through implementation and verification evidence. Develop functional architectures, state machines, interface specifications, and clear hardware/software ownership boundaries. Evaluate trade-offs involving sensors, compute, latency, vehicle interfaces, and algorithm capability. Specify activation, availability, mode transitions, driver interaction, fault response, and degraded behavior. Distinguish L2 driver-supervision responsibilities from L4 system responsibilities, including fallback and minimal-risk behavior where applicable. Partner with perception, localization, prediction, planning, controls, embedded software, vehicle integration, and HMI teams to resolve dependencies and deliver coherent end-to-end behavior. Define scenario-based verification and validation strategies across simulation, software-/hardware-in-the-loop, proving-ground, and on-road testing. Connect each requirement to a test method and objective pass/fail criteria. Work with data and test teams to establish feature metrics, logging needs, scenario coverage, and dataset representativeness. Use fleet and test data to identify gaps and prioritize improvements. Investigate failures and performance limitations using vehicle logs, software behavior, and targeted experiments. Drive root-cause resolution, regression coverage, and assessment of changes across releases. Collaborate with functional safety and SOTIF engineers on hazard analysis, foreseeable misuse, triggering conditions, safety mechanisms, and supporting evidence; incorporate relevant standards and regulatory requirements. Lead technical reviews within your feature scope, communicate risks and trade-offs, and coordinate with program teams, suppliers, and technology partners to support integration and evidence-based release decisions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, automotive, aerospace, or computer engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. 6+ years of relevant engineering experience, including hands-on systems ownership for ADAS, automated driving, or similarly complex safety-critical vehicle or robotics systems. Experience taking a feature through requirements, architecture, integration, and verification, with clear examples of technical decisions and issues you personally resolved. Working knowledge of the autonomy stack and its vehicle-level interactions, including sensor and compute limitations, perception/planning/control interfaces, timing, diagnostics, and degraded operation. Ability to write testable requirements, define interfaces and acceptance criteria, manage traceability, and use scenario-based testing and quantitative analysis to assess system behavior. Practical programming and data-analysis skills in Python or C++, and confidence interpreting logs, Vector tools (CANalyzer) navigating software, and debugging integrated systems. Working knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) and safety of the intended functionality (ISO 21448/SOTIF), with the ability to collaborate effectively with safety specialists. Strong technical communication and cross-functional problem-solving skills; comfortable owning a defined scope, documenting assumptions, and driving alignment without direct authority. Preferred: Experience working on supervised point to point driving (L2++) OR L3/L4 autonomy Experience with learned or end-to-end driving approaches and modular autonomy stacks, including how their limitations and trade-offs affect requirements, observability, and validation. Hands-on vehicle integration, automotive networks such as CAN and Ethernet, and sensor/compute integration, synchronization, diagnostics, or redundancy. Large-scale scenario mining, simulation evaluation, fleet-data analytics, SQL, or statistical methods for evaluating rare events and coverage. Requirements and architecture tools such as Jama, DOORS, or SysML/MBSE, plus experience with supplier interfaces, release readiness, or applicable NCAP and UNECE requirements. How we're different We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences. Come work with us! Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues. Who we are Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale. Working at Samsara means you'll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that's shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, and Equipment Monitoring. As part of a recently public company, you'll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term. About the role At Samsara, we're looking for a hands-on Staff Software Engineer to help turn growing Telematics products into major businesses. Our new product bets include routing and workforce management for physical operations. The portfolio has paying customers and early traction. You'll help shape what comes next, working directly with customers to understand their operations, test ideas and build solutions they choose to use. You'll stay close to the work through production, customer adoption and scale. This is a technical leadership role with substantial hands-on engineering. You'll define important problems and make product and technical decisions alongside Product, Design and Engineering partners. You'll bring the judgement to move forward when requirements are incomplete, and the influence to align other teams around a clear direction. What you will do Work directly with customers and customer-facing teams to understand unmet needs, test assumptions and identify opportunities worth pursuing. Agree on success measures with Product and Design before investing in a solution. Lead ambiguous initiatives end to end, from discovery and prototypes through production rollout, adoption and iteration. Use customer feedback and product data to decide what to improve, expand or stop. Write and ship code on the critical path. Work across services, APIs and customer-facing experiences as the problem requires, combining technical depth with the ability to learn unfamiliar parts of the product. Set technical direction for your area and align the teams needed to deliver it. Make pragmatic architecture choices that support rapid learning today and reliable growth over time. Own the production quality of what you build. Design for correctness, reliability and performance, plan safe rollouts, and use operational evidence to address the constraints that emerge as usage grows. Increase the effectiveness of the engineers around you through design and code reviews, mentoring senior engineers, and removing recurring obstacles to delivery. Share context and decisions so others can move independently. About the role: In this role, you will: Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team What you will bring A track record of shipping customer-facing products and growing them beyond their initial launch. You can explain your contribution to measurable outcomes such as adoption, revenue growth, retention, customer efficiency or cost to serve. Strong product judgement. You have worked directly with customers, clarified poorly defined problems and made decisions using evidence, including changing direction when an initial idea did not work. Deep hands-on software engineering ability, with recent experience designing, implementing and operating production systems. You can move from a prototype to maintainable software and explain the trade-offs along the way. Experience scaling products and the systems behind them. You know how to identify the next constraint, balance speed with reliability, and make technical investments that support customer and business growth. Technical leadership across team boundaries. You have built alignment without formal authority, made other engineers more effective, and communicated difficult choices clearly to technical and business partners. Experience that could be useful Experience building B2B software through an early growth stage, or working on routing, workforce management or other software for physical operations. We value evidence of learning a complex customer domain and delivering results; previous industry experience is helpful, rather than essential. What success looks like Customers adopt the capabilities you help build and can see the benefit in their day-to-day operations. The products remain dependable as usage grows. Your technical decisions support measurable business progress, and the teams around you can deliver more effectively because of your work. As part of a recently public company, you'll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term. About the role: The Commercial Customer Success team supports hundreds to thousands of customers who depend on the Samsara platform daily. This team is dedicated to equipping every customer with the necessary resources to achieve rapid value, regardless of their background or expertise. To scale this impact, we are seeking a Digital Customer Success Manager, AI & Automation to be a hands-on developer responsible for designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining agentic systems to support a digital-first post-sales strategy. Key responsibilities include: Customer Journey Optimization: Pinpoint friction points in the customer experience, create proactive interventions, and turn interactions into automated, personalized journeys. End-to-End Execution: Write code, execute experimental tests, and continuously maintain production solutions. Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner across teams to ensure a cohesive experience for all users. Success is measured by key customer outcome metrics, including increased adoption, minimized churn risk, and higher NRR tied to the agents you deploy. This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US except the San Francisco Bay Metro Area, NYC Metro Area, and Washington, D.C. Metro Area. You should apply if: You want to impact the industries that run our world: Every phone call you answer and every email you send can affect whether truck drivers deliver goods on time and without accidents, whether students get dropped off safely from school, or whether power gets restored quickly after a natural disaster. You thrive the most when solving problems: Our constantly expanding technology and the complexities faced by our customers provide an exciting range of challenges for our Customer Success teams. With a growth mindset and a desire to learn, you will strategically partner with our customers to find unique solutions to help keep their operations safe, efficient, and sustainable. You are a natural relationship builder: Whether the relationship is with our customers or with cross-functional teams in Samsara, you are in constant communication and collaboration with key stakeholders to win as a team. You are the architect of your own career: If you put in the work, this role won't be your last at Samsara. This Customer Success team is still shaping its future and you will have plenty of autonomy and opportunities to master your craft in a hyper growth environment. You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together and support each other. You will be surrounded by the best and brightest professionals out there. In this role, you will: Analyze: Identify customer painpoints and areas of opportunity with an analytical mindset combined with a customer-centric lens. Build: Build the digital CS playbooks, taking advantage of the programs and resources other teams have built, design agent architectures, write prompts, integrate with external systems (Salesforce, Samsara platform, Customer Success tools), build guardrails, and write clean Python code that the team can maintain. Test: Define success criteria and evaluation frameworks before you write the first line of code. Build automated test suites that cover real-world scenarios, edge cases, and known failure modes. Deploy: Own the deployment, versioning, and rollback plan for every agent. Ensure agents are production-ready before they reach CSMs. Ensure anything we deploy makes the experience more simple, not more complex, for our customers. Monitor: Track agent performance in production — monitor accuracy, latency, failure rates, and customer outcomes. Detect drift before anyone has to tell you something's wrong. Maintain & Iterate: Update agents continuously as Samsara's product evolves, Customer Success playbooks change, and real-world data indicates what needs improvement. Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices Minimum requirements for the role: Hands-on experience building and maintaining production LLM-based agents or automations, with at least 1 year working directly with LLMs or AI agents in production Ability to code rapidly with Python proficiency or skilled at using AI to code; have a track record of connecting AI to external systems: CRMs, APIs, customer data, and operational tools Experience using product usage data to spot risk and opportunity (health signals, activation milestones, usage floors) and acting on it before it surfaces in a renewal conversation Comfort running experiments and drawing sound conclusions from the data in order to improve the performance A systems mindset for managing a high-volume book of business: you build repeatable playbooks and motions, not just manage individual relationships 3+ years of experience, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment An ideal candidate also has: Direct experience with Anthropic Claude or similar LLM APIs Experience building programs to support NRR, retention, or expansion outcomes on a digital or long-tail book of business (100+ accounts) Experience building regression test suites or eval frameworks for non-deterministic AI systems Experience in a product-led or high-velocity customer environment WHY THIS ROLE, WHY NOW You'll be first. This function doesn't exist yet. You'll define the role, the standard, and the playbook for digital customer success at Samsara. The problem is real. A CSM managing 350+ accounts can't do everything manually. Digital and agentic motions are what make this segment sustainable at Samsara's scale. The timing is right. The models have caught up to the use cases, and Samsara has the customer data, platform context, and Customer Success team to make these systems genuinely powerful.
