We are hiring a Business Development Associate to bring growth-stage founders into Pairs, from the first call to the start of the engagement. Pairs is a global network of family offices, institutional investors, VCs and angels. We screen deal flow very tightly, and the opportunities that clear our diligence go out to the network. We invest alongside them too. THE ROLE Founders come to Pairs when they are raising. You run the first call: you read the business quickly, find out what is holding the raise back, and judge whether we can move it forward. When the fit is real, you present our process and fees clearly and book the next step on the call. When it is not, you close the conversation cleanly and keep the door open. Some founders are better served by our platform tier. For them, you run the demo and close it yourself. The numbers matter on both sides. You weigh a company's revenue, burn and round structure in the first minutes, and you keep your own pipeline as precise as a financial model. We sell access to investors, not promises. The expectations you set are the ones we deliver against, so you only commit to what we do. You will work directly with the two co-founders and our closing team. The organisation is flat, so you will see first-hand how we screen companies, what we decline and why. WHAT YOU WILL OWN First calls. A sharp read of each company and a clear answer on whether we can help. Qualification. Who is raising, who decides, and what the raise actually needs. The handoff. A next step booked on the call, and a written read for the person who runs it. Your pipeline. Every founder you speak to, logged accurately and followed up until there is a clear outcome. YOU ARE A FIT IF YOU Have sold a financial, advisory or capital-markets service to founders or executives, and can walk us through a deal you won. Read a company's numbers quickly and know which questions follow: revenue, burn, runway, round structure and committed capital. Keep a disciplined pipeline. You can tell us your conversion rates from memory. Set expectations you can stand behind. You never promise an outcome, and you would rather lose a deal than oversell one. Handle objections on price and fit directly, once, without pressure. Use AI tools daily, with clear judgement about where they improve your work and where they would compromise its quality. WHAT WE OFFER A fully remote role, with working hours that overlap US Eastern time, where most of our founders are Direct access to the co-founders and our closing team Close collaboration with our internal team A sales process that already works, and recorded calls to learn it from Insight into how we screen companies and match them with investors A base salary plus commission Compensation: $110K – $160K • $110K – $160K Find more English Speaking Jobs in United Kingdom on Arbeitnow
At TixTrack, we support our clients by creating superior ticketing solutions for performing arts and cultural institutions through a combination of modern technology, beautifully simple design, and the art of listening. Headquartered in the heart of the Broadway Theatre District, NYC, we are a small, but growing team of hardworking, highly motivated individuals. With a presence across both the US and UK, and trusted by key players on Broadway and the West End, we are passionate about our work and driven to innovate with our customers to solve current and future challenges with new solutions. Our core product, Nliven, is a real-time platform that helps venues manage ticket sales efficiently while creating a more engaging buying experience for customers. We are transforming our engineering culture to align with an Empowered Teams model, embracing Continuous Delivery and focusing on building capabilities to drive higher quality, reliability, and speed. Even with a highly dispersed, largely remote workforce, we stay connected through our Slack channels, virtual events and regional meetups. Come see how we "role". About The Role We're looking for a full stack Software Engineer to help build and improve the nLiven platform, working in both the frontend and backend. You'll write code across .NET Core and modern JavaScript frameworks like React and Vue, extending and improving our existing systems with tests as part of every change. We're hiring at two levels, and the scope of the role grows with your experience. Early-career engineers will start with well-defined tasks and bug fixes, learning our codebase and practices while senior engineers pair with them, review their code, and help them grow. Engineers with solid full stack experience will own well-scoped features from start to finish, with guidance from senior engineers when the path isn't clear. You'll report to an Engineering Manager and work closely with a team that invests in its engineers. We'll determine the right level based on your experience and the interview process, so if you're not sure where you land, apply anyway. This position is full-time and fully remote. Candidates must be located in California, Oregon, Colorado, Texas, Tennessee, Utah, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Louisiana, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey, New York, or Connecticut. Candidates may be required to travel and/or meet up in-person from time to time. There may also be an expectation in the future for hybrid work in a local office. About You You're curious about how things work and eager to keep growing, whether that means picking up a new language, learning an unfamiliar part of the codebase, or taking on a bigger piece of work. You take pride in quality. You write tests, make small and safe changes, and try to leave code better than you found it. You communicate clearly and ask questions early. When you're stuck, you say so, and when you make a technical decision, you can explain why. You value feedback and collaboration, whether it's a code review, a pairing session, or working with Product and Design to understand the problem behind the work. What You'll Do Build features and fix bugs across the stack, from well-defined tasks to features you own from design through production, working closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other engineers. Write clean, readable, maintainable code, with automated tests as part of every change. Work confidently in existing codebases: read before you change, follow established patterns, and make small, safe changes that get reviewed early. Understand the customer problem behind your work by partnering with Product and Design. Participate in code reviews by acting on feedback, asking questions to learn, and giving clear, constructive feedback to others. Follow the team's coding standards and best practices, and suggest improvements where you see them. Investigate and fix bugs and performance issues, pulling in senior engineers when a problem needs a wider view. Build with security in mind, including input validation, authorization checks, and error handling. Add logging, monitoring, and tests to the features you build, and use what they show to improve them. Pair and mob regularly with teammates to build skills, share context, and help newer engineers get up to speed. Update technical documentation, such as API contracts and design notes, when your work changes how something behaves. Contribute to architectural discussions, bringing perspective from the code you work in day to day. Point out friction in tooling, docs, CI/CD workflows, or team processes, and help fix it. Take part in production support and incident reviews alongside experienced teammates. Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for the job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice. What You'll Bring Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Level 2: Two or more years of full stack development in a SaaS or technology-driven environment. Experience building with a modern frontend framework (Angular, React, or Vue). Knowledge of SQL and relational databases, with data modeling experience for Level 2. Experience with automated testing. Preferred Experience with C# or .NET Core Unit testing JavaScript or Vue components Azure, GitHub Actions, or Terraform Observability tools such as Datadog Payments integrations such as Stripe Familiarity with Agile ways of working Essential Skills Curiosity and a strong desire to learn, including picking up new languages, tools, and parts of the codebase. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a methodical approach to debugging. Clear communication: you ask questions early, flag blockers, and can explain what you've tried and why. Openness to feedback, and a habit of learning from code reviews, pairing, and mistakes. Ability to work independently on your own tasks, with good judgment about when to ask for help. Visit our Career Page to learn more about our team: https://www.elfbeauty.com/work-with-us Position Summary The Associate Director, Transportation for the UK & EU is accountable for the performance, cost, and future-readiness of our regional transportation network. This role owns the day-to-day service levels our retail partners and consumers expect, while continuously reviewing and challenging the cost base, and — critically — developing the strategy that ensures our 3PL and carrier capacity can absorb the rapid growth ahead. Sitting in London and reporting to the US-based Associate Director of Transportation, you will be the regional leader who bridges global strategy with local execution. You will partner closely with our 3PL providers, internal commercial and supply chain teams, and the US transportation function to deliver a network that is reliable, cost-efficient, scalable, and aligned to e.l.f.'s values. Responsibilities: Service Level Management · Own end-to-end transportation service performance across the UK and EU, including on-time delivery, order fulfillment accuracy, and transit-time reliability for retail, wholesale, and e-commerce channels. · Define, track, and publish transportation KPIs and SLAs; lead monthly and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with 3PL and carrier partners to drive accountability and continuous improvement. · Serve as the primary escalation point for transportation service failures; root-cause issues and implement corrective and preventive actions. · Ensure transportation execution meets the requirements of key retail partners (e.g., compliance with retailer routing guides, delivery windows, and ASN/labeling standards). Cost Review & Optimization · Own the regional transportation budget and freight spend; forecast, monitor, and explain variances monthly, identifying trends and driving corrective action. · Conduct regular cost-to-serve analysis across lanes, modes, and channels; identify and implement opportunities to reduce cost per unit without compromising service. · Lead carrier rate negotiations, spot-market management, and freight procurement in coordination with the US Director of Transportation and procurement team. · Evaluate mode and lane optimization, consolidation, and network design changes to deliver year-over-year cost savings. 3PL Capacity & Growth Strategy · Develop and maintain a forward-looking transportation capacity strategy that aligns with e.l.f.'s aggressive international growth plans, modeling 1-, 3-, and 5-year volume scenarios against 3PL and carrier capability. · Assess the scalability of existing 3PL partners — across warehousing throughput, outbound capacity, peak-season flex, and geographic coverage — and recommend capacity additions, alternate partners, or network changes ahead of need. · Lead or support RFPs, partner selection, onboarding, and contract governance for new or expanded 3PL and carrier relationships across the UK and EU. · Build peak-season and surge-readiness plans in partnership with 3PLs, ensuring capacity, labor, and equipment commitments are secured well in advance of demand spikes (e.g., holiday, promotional events, new-retailer launches). · Identify and mitigate supply chain risks — carrier concentration, single-lane dependency, customs/border exposure — with documented contingency plans. Cross-Functional Partnership & Compliance · Partner with the US Associate Director of Transportation to ensure regional execution aligns with global transportation strategy, systems, and standards (e.g., TMS, visibility platforms, carrier scorecards). · Collaborate with Supply Planning, Demand Planning and Commercial Operations to align transportation capacity with forecasted demand and product launch timelines. · Ensure full compliance with UK and EU transportation, customs, and trade regulations, and partner with customs brokers to maintain efficient and compliant cross-border movement. · Champion e.l.f.'s sustainability commitments in transportation decisions, including modal shift, emissions reduction, and carrier sustainability standards. Requirements: · Lead the transportation strategy working with the other operations team professionals, building capability and a culture of continuous improvement. · Act as the regional transportation subject-matter expert and represent the function in cross-functional initiatives and leadership reviews. · Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). · 5+ years of progressive experience in transportation, logistics, or 3PL management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. · Demonstrated experience managing 3PL relationships and carrier networks at scale, including SLA governance, QBRs, and performance management. · Strong financial acumen — proven ownership of a transportation or freight budget, cost-to-serve analysis, and rate negotiation. · Deep working knowledge of UK and EU transportation markets, carrier landscapes, customs/trade compliance, and retail routing-guide requirements. · Experience planning capacity or network strategy to support significant volume growth.
