About Anthropic Anthropic's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role As a Product Manager focused on Enterprise Privacy, you'll collaborate with Privacy Engineering, Infrastructure, Trust and Safety, Legal, Security, GTM, enterprise and platform product teams, and our cloud partners to evolve and extend the controls that enterprises, regulated industries, and governments require in order to bring their most sensitive work to Claude. You will synthesize complex and fast-changing business needs and partner closely with the teams that retain, protect, and govern customer data across Anthropic's first-party platform and Claude on AWS, GCP, and Azure. Together, you will ensure that privacy guarantees are enforced by our systems and are verifiable by our customers. This is a high-visibility role with substantial scope. Anthropic offers layered controls over how customer data is retained and accessed, and you will build the product surface that lets customers understand, govern, and verify these controls. This includes retention and access controls, access logs and compliance reporting, customer-managed keys and custody, data residency, and self-serve user interfaces. Your stewardship of these privacy capabilities earns the customer trust that is essential to Anthropic's mission. Key responsibilities Deeply understand external customers with strict data handling requirements, from a bank's CISO to a healthcare system's compliance team to a government contractor's auditor, and the internal Trust and Safety, Legal, and GTM stakeholders whose needs pull in different directions. Partner with Privacy Engineering to ship controls that unblock regulated customers, balance impact against engineering cost, and deliver at Anthropic speed. Co-develop solutions with design-partner customers and their compliance teams, so shipped changes pass real audits, not just hypothetical ones. Work with engineers to steer architecture and investment decisions with a long-term lens: balancing build versus buy versus rely-on-the-cloud-provider, and sequencing custody, residency, and transparency across clouds that ship on their own timelines. Define success metrics for privacy controls, from preventing configuration incidents by design, to the speed at which customers can independently answer questions about their own data. Define and iterate on the self-serve experience for compliance and security teams, expanding what an organization can check about its own posture, settings, and access history without having to wait on support tickets. Gather and assess competing stakeholder needs and communicate prioritization trade-offs clearly to senior leadership, balancing privacy risk, safety requirements, legal exposure, and commercial impact. When something goes wrong, own what customers hear from us and when. Work with engineering leads to decide how retention, access, residency, and custody controls are enforced, so that our infrastructure keeps the promises we make. Minimum qualifications Experience taking a new product area from ambiguity to a durable roadmap, and shipping controls that enterprises or regulators depend on. A track record of driving platform capabilities that balance the needs of multiple customer segments and internal stakeholders. The judgment to make prioritization trade-offs between customer demand, risk, and engineering cost, and the clarity to communicate them. The ability to internalize how privacy, safety, legal risk, and commercial impact interact, and translate that understanding into a coherent product vision. Experience building highly collaborative and effective relationships with engineers and key cross-functional stakeholders. You have equal credibility providing design doc feedback to engineers, negotiating a control with a CISO without losing the relationship, and explaining a risk trade-off to leadership. Preferred qualifications 8+ years of product management experience, with deep exposure to privacy, security, or compliance products. Built or scaled audit logging, key management, data residency, retention, or access governance products for regulated customers. Shipped controls across multiple cloud providers or partnered with AWS, GCP, or Azure at the platform level. Worked with certification, attestation, or trust center programs (SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP). Used Claude, Claude Code, or comparable agentic tools and formed opinions about the data controls they should offer. The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. Annual Salary: $305,000 — $385,000 USD Logistics Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. About the role As a Product Manager in the Internal Products and Technologies organization, you'll partner with Engineering, Design, Growth, Trust & Safety, Support, and Finance to build the billing experiences every Claude customer uses, from the first purchase to the monthly invoice: We own how customers buy and manage Claude: choosing and changing plans, viewing invoices, tracking usage and spend, and setting spend controls. Your work reaches everyone who pays for Claude: individuals upgrading a plan, teams adding seats, developers buying credits, and enterprise admins managing budgets across thousands of users. You'll define how Claude should explain a charge, change a plan, or set a spend limit for a customer. You'll also define how admins set spend controls for the agents their teams run. You'll own billing experiences that convert well, resist abuse, and let customers resolve billing questions on their own. Responsibilities Deeply understand customers across segments (consumers, developers, teams, and enterprise admins) and where billing friction costs us conversion, trust, or support volume. Partner with Growth on purchase, upgrade, and plan-change flows, balancing conversion against clarity and long-term customer trust. Partner with Trust & Safety to stop abuse of Claude plans and credits without adding friction for legitimate customers. Design agentic billing experiences: Claude answering billing questions, resolving common issues, and taking billing actions, with a confirmation step wherever a mistake would cost the customer money. Partner with Engineering and Design so every Claude product gives customers the same clear way to buy, upgrade, and manage spend. Drive product strategy and roadmap, synthesize competing stakeholder needs, and communicate prioritization clearly to senior leadership. You may be a good fit if you: Have 7+ years of product management experience, including self-serve purchase, subscription, or billing experiences. Have shipped self-serve experiences where you owned conversion and retention metrics and ran experiments to move them. Have strong product design instincts, and can make a confusing concept like proration, overage, or credits clear on a single screen. Have built LLM-powered or agentic product features, and have a point of view on when an agent should act on its own and when it should ask first. Are equally credible discussing system design with engineers, abuse patterns with Trust & Safety, and funnels with Growth. Are comfortable making tradeoffs between growth, risk, and financial accuracy, and explaining them clearly. Are scrappy and resourceful, and do what it takes to get things done. Strong candidates may have: Shipped customer tools for usage-based or hybrid pricing (seats, usage, credits), such as usage dashboards, spend limits, and alerts. Worked with Trust & Safety or risk teams to prevent abuse of plans, credits, or free trials. Launched a product in new countries, including local pricing, tax, and currency. Built self-serve help experiences that measurably reduced billing support contacts. Scaled through hypergrowth (10x+ revenue). The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. About the role Procurement Operations is the front door for buying at Anthropic. We sit inside Finance Operations and own the path from "I need to buy something" to a signed agreement, an accurate purchase order, and clean spend data at month end. We are hiring a Procurement Operations Business Partner to own that path for our technology spend: business applications, SaaS tools, cloud and infrastructure services, and the engineering and developer tools our teams build with. This portfolio is software heavy: new tools evaluated and onboarded regularly, licenses that renew on their own schedule, and vendors billed on seats, usage, or tiered subscription terms rather than a single invoice. You will be the person who makes buying software feel simple to the teams who depend on it and reliable to the Finance stakeholders behind it. This is a high-volume role with an accounting core. You ensure every software purchase in your portfolio is coded, dated, received, and accrued correctly, so spend is right in the books every month. Expect a steady queue of new tool requests, renewals, and license changes, and expect to be the person Accounting trusts on all of it. We use Claude as part of our daily workflow and are looking for someone who wants to help define what an AI-native procurement operations function looks like, including how AI changes intake, contract and security review, vendor coordination, and requester support. Responsibilities Own the purchasing process Manage a high volume of purchase requests, renewals, and license changes each month across the organization, keeping speed and accuracy high at the same time. Serve as the primary procurement partner for the teams buying in your categories, guiding requesters from initial request to signed agreement and issued purchase order. Review every purchase request in your portfolio for the things that matter downstream: the right vendor record and contracting entity, complete commercial documents, correct spend categorization and service dates, and the approvals the purchase actually needs. Determine what else each request requires before it can move, whether that is an order form, a data privacy review, or a third party risk assessment, and route it to the right reviewers the first time. Partner with Security to run a vendor security review on every new tool and at every renewal, and hold the line that nothing goes live without one. Launch and track contract review with Legal, keep it moving, and confirm the executed agreement supports the purchase order before it is issued. Structure purchase orders so they match how the vendor bills (seat-based, usage-based, tiered subscription, or flat annual fee) and how Accounting needs to see the spend, with the right GL account, cost center, and service period on every line. Manage renewals, true ups, and seat count changes over the life of each agreement. Track license counts and renewal dates across your portfolio so nothing auto-renews or lapses by surprise, and flag underused or overlapping tools to budget owners ahead of the next renewal cycle. Financial completeness and accuracy Code every purchase order correctly at creation, including GL account, spend category, cost center, and service period, and understand how each choice lands in the financials (expense versus prepaid, annual versus monthly recognition). Work the hard cases with Accounting: multi year subscriptions paid upfront, mid term seat additions, true ups, credits, and contracts amended mid cycle. Own the open purchase order book: receipts recorded against actual delivery, periodic reviews, stale line cleanup, coding corrections, and timely closures, so PO, receipt, and invoice agree. Serve as the first line reviewer for month-end accruals on your portfolio, gathering estimates from vendors and budget owners for variable spend and confirming or correcting proposed amounts so Accounting can close on time. Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice holds, PO mismatches, and receiving questions so vendors are paid on time and spend lands where it belongs. Support audit and reporting requests that touch your portfolio, including commitment schedules and control evidence, with data you can stand behind. Be the front door Be visible and responsive in your teams' Slack channels and office hours; answer routine purchasing questions quickly and escalate real blockers with context. Apply purchasing policy consistently and explain the why, including approval thresholds, signature authority, and when an exception is and is not available. Translate procurement, legal, security, and finance requirements into plain language for engineers, IT, and business stakeholders, and carry their operating reality back to those teams so controls fit the work. Keep a regular check in with your highest volume teams so upcoming purchases and renewals are visible early and nothing urgent arrives as a surprise. Continuous improvement Maintain the playbooks, intake guidance, and standard operating procedures for your portfolio so the path is repeatable and does not live in one person's head. Identify manual steps, repeat questions, and failure points and fix them, including where Claude and workflow automation with AI can take work off requesters and the team. Minimum qualifications Proven track record of owning a high-volume purchasing portfolio end-to-end in a procure-to-pay and intake platform. Solid working knowledge of accrual accounting as it applies to purchasing: accruals and reversals, service period and cutoff, prepaid versus expense, and GL and cost center coding. You can explain how a purchase order becomes an entry in the general ledger. Experience buying and managing software or SaaS at scale, including seat-based, usage-based, and tiered subscription billing models. Experience owning the tool and vendor lifecycle end to end, from intake through security review, contracting, renewal, and sunset, with the judgment to know when to push a request through and when to slow it down. Preferred qualifications 7+ years of procurement operations, purchasing, or vendor operations, including time supporting IT, engineering, or business systems teams. Background in accounting, accounts payable, or a month-end close process. Direct experience with Zip, Workday Financials, and Ironclad. Prior ownership of month-end accrual review or open PO reconciliation for a large, variable spend portfolio. Experience with software asset management or license optimization, including identifying underused or redundant tools. Experience designing tiered intake or approval frameworks that sped up low risk purchases without weakening controls. The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. About the Role: As a Manager of Startups Applied AI Architects at Anthropic, you will drive adoption of frontier AI by leading a team of technical architects to help startups build AI-native products with the Claude Developer Platform. Your team is expected to win the trust of founders and engineers by supporting their technical ambitions from early product to scale. You'll bring your own builder credibility and startup instincts to the role — setting the vision for what great technical partnership looks like in the startup segment, developing a high-performing team, and personally carrying relationships with Anthropic's most strategic early-stage accounts. This is a role for a proven technical go-to-market leader who knows how to build teams that move at startup speed, earn the trust of deeply technical buyers, and turn a scrappy early engagement into a lasting technical partnership. You'll define the playbooks for nurturing and scaling new customers, set the bar for technical excellence, and grow the people — while staying close enough to the ground to know what's actually working. You will partner with sales leaders and work as one team to support your customers. Responsibilities: Lead, develop, and grow a team of Startups Applied AI Architects — setting a high bar for technical credibility, customer impact, and startup-paced execution Drive team performance through clear goal-setting, regular coaching, and a culture of continuous technical development Personally lead pre-sales engagements with high-priority startup accounts, from initial technical discovery through deployment and expansion, modeling what great looks like for your team Build and own the segment's technical playbooks: how to run technical evaluations, develop customer-specific eval frameworks, architect LLM solutions for resource-constrained early-stage teams, and win against competitive alternatives Partner with aligned Account Executives and GTM leadership to shape segment strategy and drive Claude API adoption across the startup ecosystem Ensure your team consistently surfaces insights on how startups are building with Claude — emerging use cases, deployment patterns, architectural decisions — and translate that signal into actionable feedback for Product and Engineering Drive cross-functional influence across Sales, Product, and Engineering to advance startup customer needs and shape roadmap priorities Build Anthropic's technical presence and credibility in the startup ecosystem through events, conferences, workshops, and content Stay ahead of the AI engineering landscape — context engineering, eval frameworks, agentic architectures, developer tooling — and ensure your team is operating at the frontier You may be a good fit if you: Have 8+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles (Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or similar), with 5+ years leading and managing pre-sales or technical go-to-market teams Have a strong track record of building and developing high-performing SA teams — you know how to hire well, coach effectively, and create an environment where technical talent grows and does their best work Have deep experience working with startups or high-growth technology companies — you understand the velocity, constraints, and culture of early-stage companies and know how technical decisions get made at each stage of the journey Bring genuine builder credibility: you've built and deployed LLM-powered applications, you speak the language of founders and founding engineers, and you can earn the trust of deeply technical audiences without relying on a title Have hands-on expertise with context engineering, LLM evaluation frameworks, and modern AI architectures, and can guide both your team and customers through the decisions that separate a prototype from a production-grade system Are comfortable with Python and fluent in the LLM frameworks, tools, and integration patterns common in startup engineering stacks Are energized by building in ambiguous environments — you're excited to define the playbook, not just run it, and you thrive in fast-moving contexts where the technology and the customer segment are both evolving rapidly Have a genuine passion for making powerful technology safe and societally beneficial Strong candidates may have: Experience as a technical founder or in a founder-led sales motion, giving you firsthand understanding of what technical buyers in the startup world are actually evaluating A track record of winning competitive technical evaluations against other LLM providers Experience building foundational team infrastructure from the ground up: hiring frameworks, onboarding programs, technical playbooks, and coaching systems in a high-growth environment Deep familiarity with how developer infrastructure procurement evolves from seed through Series B and beyond, and how to adapt your team's approach accordingly A visible technical presence in the startup or AI engineering community through conference talks, written content, or open-source contributions The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. IT Systems Engineer, Client Platform Engineer, macOS
About the role The Endpoint team (Client Platform Engineering) treats Anthropic's device fleet as a platform we build and run. We run our own MDM as a production service and manage every piece of device configuration as code. Policies, configuration profiles, queries, remediation scripts, and software all ship through pull requests, CI, a staging environment, and a canary group before they reach the fleet. The fleet is mostly macOS, plus a small number of Linux machines and a growing mobile footprint. You'll own that platform end to end: the infrastructure underneath the MDM, the configuration on top of it, the patching and software pipelines that keep thousands of devices patched and secure, and the telemetry that tells us what is actually true on every device. You'll also build automation that cuts down on manual operational work. You'll work with Security teams on hardening, compliance controls, and detection and response, and with developer and infrastructure teams to make sure those controls don't get in the way of their work. Your work will let us base access decisions on whether a device can be trusted. We value people who double check a compliance report before they believe it. The team is deliberately lean and runs with high autonomy. You'll help define the endpoint roadmap, make architecture decisions, and own the platform every Anthropic employee's work runs on. You'll also help us meet the security standards our Responsible Scaling Policy requires as models advance. Responsibilities Own endpoint configuration as code: author, review, test, and progressively roll out MDM policies, configuration profiles, and remediation scripts across macOS and mobile, with canary stages and rollback built in Operate the MDM platform itself as a production service, including infrastructure as code, observability, upgrades, and incident response Build patch management automation with rapid enforcement timelines while maintaining good user experience Design zero touch provisioning that turns a sealed box into a productive machine on day one Support a small number of Linux machines alongside the Mac fleet Turn fleet telemetry into policy, dashboards, and early drift warnings, and use Claude to automate manual ops work Partner with Corporate Security on endpoint hardening, binary authorization, and compliance controls Take shifts on the team's rotation for incoming requests and escalations, and serve as the deep escalation tier for endpoint issues IT Operations can't resolve You may be a good fit if you Have 8+ years building secure IT systems in complex environments, including leading projects across multiple teams Have managed endpoint fleets of thousands of macOS devices through a modern MDM Treat endpoint configuration as code that is version controlled and peer reviewed, rather than clicking in consoles Go deep on macOS internals such as launchd, configuration profiles, TCC, and system extensions Write Python and shell scripts Write design docs and runbooks so teammates can review and support what you build Strong candidates may also have Have operated an MDM or device management platform as a service, not only consumed one as SaaS Have worked with open source endpoint and device management tooling (Munki, osquery, AutoPkg) Have built automated, progressive rollout systems with promotion gated on telemetry Have experience running infrastructure as code in a public cloud Have working knowledge of Linux administration (packaging, systems, config management) Have used LLMs to automate ops work Deadline to apply: None. Applications will be received on a rolling basis. The annual compensation range for this role is listed below. How we're different We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research.
