Our Story Hello there. We're Zopa. We started our journey back in 2005, building the first ever peer-to-peer lending company. Fast forward to 2020 and we launched Zopa Bank. A bank that listens to what our customers don't like about finance and does the opposite. We're redefining what it feels like to work in finance. Our vision for a new era of banking puts people front and centre — we've built a business that empowers everyone to aim high, every day, to move finance forward. Find out more about our fantastic offerings at Zopa.com ! We're incredibly proud of our achievements and none of it would be possible without the amazing team here. It's not just industry awards we're winning, we've also been named in the top three UK's Most Loved Workplaces. If you embrace unconventional challenges, are unafraid to think differently and are driven to make an outsized impact, you'll thrive here at Zopa, so join us, and make it count. Want to see us in action? Follow us on Instagram @zopalife We are looking for a Senior Technical Accountant to join our growing Finance function, reporting to the Head of Technical Accounting. You'll provide technical accounting support for ongoing business activities, new products and other initiatives, and play a key part in the Technical Accounting team's work, from accounting policy assessments to horizon scanning, audit engagement and the annual report. Strong stakeholder management is key to this role. The demands on the Finance team are high as Zopa grows at pace, so you'll need to build effective and influential relationships within Finance and the wider business. Our team are self-starting problem solvers who are agile and thrive on bringing past experiences and networks to a diverse range of challenges. You'll be part of an impressive Zopa team, who are super collaborative and happy to roll their sleeves up and get involved in whatever needs doing to achieve their goals. A day in the life Carry out technical accounting assessments for new transactions, products, significant contracts and other business initiatives, and draft clear accounting papers and memos. Play a key part in the Technical Accounting team's ownership of the annual report and accounts, drafting parts of the report and coordinating other sections written by teams across Finance and the wider business, and helping to bring them together into the final report. Manage stakeholders effectively and work well with other Zopa teams, including Product, Legal, Treasury and Risk, building strong, influential relationships and giving clear, practical technical accounting advice. Support the development, implementation and upkeep of accounting policies and the accounting manual and give practical guidance on how policies should be applied across the business. Help put new accounting treatments into practice: make sure finance systems and processes are set up to support new activities, embed them into business-as-usual (BAU) processes and hand them over to the BAU teams. Support the technical accounting for balance sheet activity, including SPPI testing and hedge accounting assessments and documentation under IAS 39 and IFRS 9. Support the timely and accurate delivery of month-end reporting where needed. Work directly with the external auditors on accounting policy and technical accounting matters, answering queries and providing evidence and papers. Carry out horizon scanning of new and proposed legislation, regulation and accounting standards that affect financial and corporate reporting, prepare impact assessments, and highlight high-impact or high-risk changes. Help shape and deliver our work to automate the production of the annual report, an area where this role will be fundamental. Look for ways to use AI and automation to improve technical accounting, policy and reporting processes, and put them into practice. Keep up to date with developments in financial and corporate reporting . About you: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with relevant post-qualification experience. Experience of working in the financial services sector (ideally banking or consumer finance), or trained at a top six accountancy firm with financial services experience in a technical accounting role. Solid working knowledge of IFRS and how it applies to financial services products and transactions. Clear written communication, with experience of drafting technical accounting papers or memos and explaining complex accounting to non-accountants. A questioning mindset, and the ability to drive change to systems and processes to improve efficiency. A team player and problem solver. You'll show great initiative to listen, analyse, research, investigate and provide solutions to problems relating to financial accounting and reporting. Comfortable managing several pieces of work at once in a fast-moving environment, and building trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Curious about AI and how you can use it in your everyday work. Motivated, energetic and passionate about excellence and innovation. Bonus points for Technical knowledge of IFRS 9 (expected credit losses, EIR), hedge accounting (IFRS 9 and IAS 39), IFRS 2 (share-based payments), and IAS 38 (intangible assets). Experience of operational accounting. #LI-LK1 At Zopa we value flexible ways of working. We value face-to-face collaboration and a good work-life balance. This hybrid role requires you to come to our London office 2-3 days a week. You'll also have the option of working from abroad for up to 120 days a year! But no matter where you are, we'll make sure you've got everything you need to thrive, both in your work and home life, from day one. Subject to having the right to work in the country of choice Diversity Statement Zopa is proud to offer a workplace free from discrimination. Diversity of experience, perspectives, and backgrounds leads to better products for our customers and a unique company culture for our people. We are made up of nearly 50 nationalities, have a DE&I forum made up of Zopians wanting to make a difference and we are proud of our culture where everyone can bring their full self to work. Our approach to DE&I is reflected in our hiring process so please let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments. Our approach to AI in interviews At Zopa, AI isn't something we're testing out — it's part of how we work every day. As a proud partner of Jobs 2030 , we're committed to building AI fluency across our workforce, and we expect Zopians to use AI as part of how they do their jobs. Because of that, we want to be transparent about how we think about AI use during our hiring process. Behavioural and competency-based interviews : please don't use AI . These conversations are designed to understand you — your experiences, your judgment, and how you've approached real situations. An AI-generated answer can't tell us that. What it can do is get in the way of us finding out whether we're the right fit for each other. Technical interviews: it depends on the role. Some technical stages actively welcome AI use, others don't. Your Talent Partner will let you know what's expected at each stage. Where AI is part of the assessment, we'll be interested not just in the outcome, but in how you used it – the tools you chose, your reasoning, and the decisions you made along the way. About Finom Finom is a European tech startup headquartered in Amsterdam, and we're on a journey towards revolutionizing the financial landscape for entrepreneurs worldwide. Our mission is to develop an all-in-one financial B2B solution that integrates banking functions, accounting, financial management, and invoicing into a seamless, mobile-first platform. We recently closed a €115 million Series C equity round (around $133 million), bringing our total funding to approximately $346 million. This significant investment follows a $105 million growth funding round from General Catalyst, a long-term backer since 2021 known for supporting companies like Airbnb, HubSpot, KAYAK, and Stripe. Finom's platform goes beyond traditional banking, offering invoicing and a growing suite of features, including AI-enabled accounting, aiming to simplify financial management for entrepreneurs. We're actively expanding our reach across key EU markets like Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain. At Finom, we're not just redefining the entrepreneurial experience — we're empowering our employees to make a real difference. Your work matters, and your impact extends far beyond product metrics. We nurture innovation and an inspiring work environment where bold ideas thrive, prioritizing thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and our business as a whole. Maintaining our start-up spirit, we prioritize thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and, of course, our business. The Role For hundreds of thousands of European entrepreneurs, our iOS app is Finom. It's how they check their cash flow over morning coffee, approve a payment between client meetings, and freeze a card the moment something looks off. We're mobile-first by conviction, not convenience — the app isn't a companion to the "real" product; it is the product. And as an AI-native platform, the features you build increasingly carry intelligence inside them: AI-powered accounting, smart categorization, and agentic workflows that quietly save business owners hours every week. When you ship something great, someone somewhere feels it the same day. That's why we're not looking for someone to implement tickets. We're looking for a Senior Mobile (iOS) Engineer who thinks like a product builder — someone who cares deeply about the "why" behind what they're building, challenges assumptions when needed, and proactively spots opportunities to create better outcomes. You'll be embedded in a cross-functional domain team — Backend, Mobile, ML/AI, QA, Design, and Product — that owns a shared product area end-to-end. No handoff culture, no "not my layer": everyone in the team is solving the same customer problem, and you'll shape solutions from the first product conversation to the moment the feature is live in users' hands. Fewer silos means more flow — and real, end-to-end ownership. What You Will Be Doing How We Build Agentic development is table stakes at Finom — for every craft, mobile included. Our engineers work with Claude Code and similar harnesses daily, and we've made it a first-class part of how the company operates, not an individual productivity hack. We follow a shared SDLC approach built around Spec-Driven Development (SDD): features start as clear, reviewable specs that both humans and AI agents execute against, powered by a shared AI development toolbelt and a growing library of skills, rules, and context maintained across guilds. You won't be figuring out AI-assisted development alone — you'll join an engineering organization that has already invested in the infrastructure, standards, and shared practices, and you'll be expected to use them, improve them, and raise the bar for others. What You'll Do Design and build new features for our iOS application, used daily by business owners across Europe: multi-account cash flow management, banking transactions and payments, physical and virtual card issuance and control, and AI-powered accounting automation. Own outcomes, not just code. You'll follow your features into analytics, jump into customer issues without being prompted, and care about whether what you shipped actually moved the needle. Build polished, responsive UIs with UIKit and SwiftUI — in a financial app, trust is built (or lost) in the details. Drive technical decisions within your domain, discuss trade-offs openly with product managers, and explain constraints clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Raise the bar on engineering quality — automated testing, thorough code reviews, and mobile security best practices are non-negotiable in a regulated fintech. Mentor the engineers around you and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and mobile best practices across the team. Who You Are Who You Are You're pragmatic, learn quickly, and have a proven track record of shipping products that matter. Above all, you're curious — about the product, the users, the business, and how your technical decisions impact all three. Curiosity. You want to understand the "why" behind every feature. You ask what problem it solves, question whether there's a simpler path, and explore how your decisions ripple into product, users, and revenue. Business acumen. You connect your work to company objectives. You understand the "so what" behind every decision, and you'd rather ship the feature that moves the right metric than the one that's merely interesting to build. Communication. You communicate clearly and concisely in English across technical and non-technical audiences — from fellow engineers to PMs to business stakeholders — and you genuinely enjoy the dynamics of a cross-functional team. T-shapedness. Your iOS craft runs deep, but your curiosity runs wide. You'll peek at the backend contracts, ask questions about the ML models, and dive into analytics to understand how your features perform. Ownership. You take responsibility not just for your code, but for the outcomes. You move without being prompted — whether that's improving team processes, jumping on a production issue, or mentoring a colleague. Your Experience Includes 5+ years of commercial iOS development with strong knowledge of Swift. Deep understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns. Practical experience with the VIPER architectural pattern and the Coordinator navigation pattern — and the judgment to know when a simpler approach serves the product better. Excellent knowledge of UIKit and experience (or a strong desire to grow) with SwiftUI. Experience with layout development in code, particularly using SnapKit or similar tools. Ability to write unit and UI tests. Confidence with Git / GitLab, including setting up and maintaining GitLab CI/CD. Hands-on experience with agentic development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) as part of your daily workflow — writing prompts, configuring rules and skills, and critically evaluating AI-generated output with tests, linters, and review. This is table stakes for all engineering crafts at Finom, mobile included. A builder's mentality: you care deeply about shipping great products, not just writing great code. Nice to Have Background in fintech or financial products — you understand the stakes of working in a regulated environment. Solid grasp of mobile security best practices (especially critical in our domain). Experience profiling and optimizing UI performance — reducing rendering bottlenecks and hitting smooth 60/120fps on iOS. Hands-on work with performance tooling: Instruments, XCTest, or similar. Published apps on the App Store you're proud of. An active GitHub profile with code you're happy to share. Deeper agentic engineering experience beyond daily tool use — setting up agent environments and harnesses, authoring reusable skills and behavioral rules, or contributing to a team's shared AI development practices. Understanding of model capabilities and limitations — knowing which model fits which task and how to manage the context window effectively. Awareness of AI security risks — prompt injection, data leakage, and safe handling of untrusted inputs in agentic workflows. What You Will Get In Return Make a genuine impact on the product Join our upward trajectory, and grow with us. We provide the resources and opportunities for continuous personal and professional development, empowering you to make a genuine impact on our evolving product. Location: London Type: Full-time BW ESS is seeking an experienced Senior Treasury Manager to take ownership of the Group's treasury activities across its international corporate entities, project SPVs and joint ventures. As BW ESS continues to grow, the complexity and importance of treasury is increasing materially. This role will bring together activities currently undertaken across different parts of the organisation, establish clear ownership and controls, and build a scalable treasury capability for the Group. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can both design the right treasury framework and make sure it operates effectively day to day. We are looking for candidates with real ownership experience in complex, multi-entity, multi-currency environments, ideally gained in energy, renewables, infrastructure, utilities or another project- and SPV-based business. About BW ESS BW ESS is a global energy storage owner-operator, moving with speed to develop, deliver and operate market-leading projects. The business is active in the UK, Australia, Italy, Germany, Spain, and Sweden. It has more than 540MWh of operating Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), with ~12GWh under construction and a development pipeline of several gigawatts. Part of BW Group, BW ESS builds on decades of global infrastructure experience, takes a long-term view of projects and partnerships, and focuses on unlocking value throughout the energy storage asset lifecycle. To find out more, visit: https://bw-ess.com/ The Role Reporting to the Director of FP&A and Treasury, you will work closely with the CFO, Strategic Finance, Portfolio FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Investments, Legal and project teams, as well as BW Group and the Group's banking counterparties. You will be responsible for Group cash and liquidity management, credit support, FX and hedging operations, cash investment, banking and treasury facilities, treasury governance and treasury systems. Your objective is to replace fragmented activity with a coherent Group treasury capability: giving management reliable visibility of cash, liquidity and treasury risk, ensuring cash and credit resources are deployed efficiently, strengthening controls and banking infrastructure, and building processes and systems that scale with the business. Key Responsibilities Cash management: own the consolidated Group cash position across corporate entities, project SPVs, joint ventures, accounts and currencies, including restricted and unrestricted cash, intercompany funding, equity contributions and distributions, and ensuring the right cash sits in the right entity, account and currency ahead of material payment obligations. Liquidity management: own the Group liquidity position and rolling forecast, consolidating inputs from Portfolio FP&A, Accounting, Investments, Strategic Finance and project teams, and providing forward-looking analysis of requirements, constraints, surpluses and funding needs across multiple currencies and jurisdictions. Credit support: own the portfolio of bank guarantees, parent-company guarantees, letters of credit and other contingent exposures, managing issuance, amendment, renewal and cancellation, and monitoring utilisation, expiries, fees, collateral and facility headroom. FX management: own the consolidated view of forecast and actual FX exposures across development, construction, operations and corporate activity, maintain the Group's FX framework, recommend hedging actions, and execute approved transactions within delegated authorities. Cash investment: manage surplus cash within approved policies and counterparty limits, optimising deposit arrangements, managing counterparty exposure and diversification, and negotiating terms to improve returns while preserving liquidity. Hedging operations: own the operational management of FX and interest-rate derivatives, including execution, confirmation, settlement, records of hedges and maturities, collateral and threshold monitoring, and treasury inputs into valuation, accounting and reporting. Banking and facilities: act as principal treasury relationship owner for cash-management and transaction banks, maintain the Group's banking architecture (accounts, mandates, signatories, access, KYC and documentation), own treasury-related facilities, and support complex funds flows for acquisitions, disposals, financings, refinancings and project financial close. Controls, policy and governance: own treasury policies, procedures, delegated authorities and the control framework, ensure transactions are authorised, documented, reconciled and auditable, monitor compliance with policy and counterparty limits, and report to senior management and governance forums. Systems and transformation: define the future treasury operating model, lead Treasury's contribution to the Group's ERP implementation, drive automation of cash visibility, forecasting, payments and bank-statement collection, and assess the role and timing of a dedicated Treasury Management System. Required Skills and Experience 10+ years' relevant experience in corporate treasury, infrastructure, energy, banking or a closely related finance role. Demonstrable experience taking ownership of treasury activities in a complex, multi-entity, multi-currency organisation. Strong practical experience across cash and liquidity management, FX, banking, credit support and treasury controls. Experience managing senior relationships with banks and other financial counterparties. Strong understanding of treasury risk management, with the ability to translate financial exposures into practical recommendations and actions. Ability to operate effectively across multiple legal entities, jurisdictions, currencies and stakeholders. Strong judgement and the confidence to identify issues, challenge existing practice and recommend solutions to senior management. Comfortable working hands-on while building more scalable processes, controls and systems. Strong analytical capability and the ability to communicate complex treasury issues clearly and concisely. ACT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification preferred. Preferred Experience Energy, renewables, infrastructure, utilities or another project- and SPV-based business. Treasury within a business undergoing rapid international growth. Project finance, including restricted cash, reserve accounts and project-level funding structures. Bank guarantees, letters of credit, parent-company guarantees and other project credit support. FX and interest-rate derivatives, including ISDA-governed arrangements.
